Ya, this could be a crucial weekend in La Liga, one where Barca will go from being happy with a point at El Clasico, to needing to win it. Mallorca are exceptional at home, but the one big team they have played there, they have lost when they lost to Sevilla.

Barca need to be sharp this weekend, nothing but 3 points is enough.

And I just hope and pray that idiot Daviod Philips is nowhere enar a commenatry position this weekend.

A win in this fixture would mean so much. This is where Ibra, Iniesta, and Henry can potentially put their bad spells behind them and add a few gears at a vital stage in the season. It won't be easy, but I'm hoping we can recreate the performance we had their last season, where it was the most water logged pitch I've ever seen, and Messi/ Xavi scored two wonderful goals.

I expect Mallorca to lie down and Barca to destroy them.

Madrid derby could go either way.

That was Malaga in November. Barca lost at Mallorca last season. Remember, Eto'o missed a hatful. The title was clinched the night before thanks to Villareal beating Madrid.

    Mallorca lineup:
Aouate, Mattioni, Nunes, Ramis, Ayoze, Mario, Martí, Borja Valero, 'Chori' Castro, Víctor, Aduriz

    Barca lineup:
Valdés, Maxwell, Milito, Puyol, Alves, Touré, Keita, Iniesta, Pedro, Jeffren, Ibrahimovic

Mallorca smack the upright then a good follow up save from Valdes

Barca are missing Xavi big time. No composure in the middle so far.

Ibra has been looking good the opening 25.

Aouate (our Isreali friend from the qualifier in Dublin a few years ago) is having a good game so far

Mallorca hit the woodwork yet again!

I disagree, Iniesta has actually stayed in the centre and his distribution has been excellent, much much better than the past few games. Zlatan has been very very good too. Encouraging signs to be honest, 3 points here would be absolutely huge here, and is more important than the 1st leg of the CL against Arsenal.

    Goal.........

    1 - 0

    Ibra

    3 on the bounce :D

Poor enough game, but the result was probably more important to Barcelona.

That lad Messi, who came on for Barca in the second half showed a bit of promise though.

Far from a great performance but an improvement of over the stuff of recent weeks.

Ibra's best performance in a while.

God, he must have been atrocious in previous games if that's the case. Only seen the 2nd half but I thought he was pretty poor. Admittedly the pitch was horrendous but he made two horrible passes straight to a player of the opposition and I thought he was pretty poor when he was caught offside near the end after Messi put him through.

Screamer of a goal from Diogo to put Zaragoza ahead against Valencia. Game needed that. Second half should be a cracker.

EDIT: Scratch that. Zigic sent off for Valencia on the stroke of half time. Cracking second half denied.

I wonder how maw many red cards Valencia have this season? They seem to be always playing with 10 men!

It wasn't his best display but he did show some good touches and that he's linking play abit better. His confidence is slowly building back up I reckon and at the end of the day, even when he plays badly he scores. Come the end of the season he'll have a good goal tally.

Depor look out of the race to finish 4th after their defeat today imo. It's down to 3 with Sevilla and Mallorca looking more likely than Bilbao. If Sevilla win tonight I would have them as clear favs.

    I like that line-up,

At least Perea ain't playing, the real front two would have roasted him.

I reckon Assuncao's job will be to stop van der vart in the hole between the midfield and strikers. I hope Reyes has a good game, he has been brilliant recently.

I can see this being fairly high scoring,

    Prediction: 4-2 to Real.:(

Apart from there win against Mallorca, Sevilla's away form has been muck this season.

Mallorca have a tough enough run in. The likes of Villarreal/ Getafe (40pts) still have a slight chance of 4th after tonight.

I will include Atleti in there too, after we win 4-0 later on ;).

    :(

Real aren't looking like a team that have won their last 10.

Might take a second away goal for them to start playing.

Ronaldo needs to change his boots.
