    tonight:

Returning to the show after his popular appearance on last year's 'Late Late Toy Show' is young John Joe Brennan.

Speaking about his guest, Tubridy said: "To celebrate the clocks going forward this weekend I'm delighted to have the show's favourite young horologist back on the show."

"John Joe stole the show when he appeared on 'The Toy Show' last November so it's great to have him back on."

Since his last appearance on the show, John Joe became an Internet sensation, getting over 250,000 views on YouTube, nearly 50,000 Facebook fans and his very own YouTube music remix.

Also on this week's show is BBC news reporter John Simpson, who will be talking about working in some of the world's most hostile environments.

Television presenters Derek Davis and Thelma Mansfield will also be reuniting on tonight's show, to take a nostalgic look back at their time together on 'Live at 3'.

Renowned singer Paul Brady will also be appearing on the show to celebrate the release of his tenth album.

That doesn't sound very promising apart from John Simpson.

I actually felt sorry for that kid on the Toy Show, I felt someone should tell him to put on a pair of jeans and go kick a ball around.

Well if it is rubbish, I hope we at least get a laugh out of it. Last week's show was just depressing.

They're getting really desperate if they're getting him on. Why not invite Crystal Swing back to duet with Taye Zonday while they're at it?

but shure desperate is the name of the game that is Tubs Tonight, ohhhh, sorry, the late late show

I see they have pulled out all the stops yet again. Keep it up RTE, one of these days I will put an axe through the screen.

john joe wanted to be a horologist: watchmaker someone who makes or repairs watches

I wonder what he is going to be talking about this time watches/timepieces?

certainly he will entertain with some laughs.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think John Joe can go for a kick about...

But i agree with ya that they should put decent clothes on the kid and not something they could of stole from some auld boys grave....

Apart from that, it seems a pretty bleak show

If they did pull out all the stops you would be moaning on about RTE IS WASTING ME TAXES.

WTF, John Joe as an actual guest on the Late Late?

Come on, it was funny last November, but now it just seems lazy, lame, and a small bit exploitative

Hear me now, this is going to be dire, especially the John Joe bit.

Will not be remotely enjoyable, not even in the naff 'wink-wink' ironic style that Tubridy trades in

Have to agree with the above, will probably be cringeworthy stuff with Tubridy cracking his usual "in-jokes". Bet he makes some reference to girl/girlfriends or the like. Time will move slowly for everyone during this interview would think.

Derek Davis no doubt be giving out about how badly he was treated by RTE as usual. Though I have to say the last thing he was on (think it was LLS as well), he was actually very funny.

Hope Brady plays a couple of his good songs. Dont give us this "here's a track from the new (sh1te) album" b*ll*x.

    That's Lauren to you. ;)

I agree though, John Joe is way overrated.
Fair fucks to the lad though, what with his troubles.

I look forward to the Late Late's upcoming appearances of......

    Charlie bit my finger,
    Epic beard guy,
    Pruane2Forever,
and the "sittin' on the toilet" lady.

Hope Brady plays a couple of his good songs. Dont give us this "here's a track from the new (sh1te) album" b*ll*x.

    Arthur Mcbride, all the way.

    Oops :o

Poor kid. I hate to see kids turned into little adults though.

There was a child 'antique expert' on the Antiques Roadshow years ago and he became a bit of a sideshow. Things didn't go too well for him afterwards either LINK

Now I'm not saying for a moment that John Joe is going to end up the same!!

Me thinks its a good night to hit the tiles.. John Joe should be the most entertaining, though I fear he's being used. I expect someone will have his appearance on YouTube by the time I fall home.

More fluffy drivel this week, no proper debate amymore.

Derek Davis was a great presenter and sharp debater in his day, self deprecating and funny.

It's ironic, every week Tubs brings on a guest that should have got the LLS.
