Improving Technique to burn more

    Currently, I'm doing a weights based routine with a goal of weight loss. I'd like to maintain this muscle mass at a lower BF%.

    Obvious lifting bigger weights burns more calories, which is the goal in order to maximize weight loss. Burn more calories, loss more weight (on the same intake obv)

    I generally focus on compound lifts. I've made decent progress with the three big lifts. My thinking is that I can only go so far with building muscle mass/on a deficit (correct me if this is wrong)
    I was thinking about something Hanley said about benching the other day. About focusing on technique for some session, and I thought makes sense, the max you can lift is obviously based on a combo of actual strength and technique.

    So, if my strength plateaued for a while, and i focused on improving technique, if my lifts go up, then surely i'm burning more. I recently dropped the weight right down in the squat, trying to go deeper, better form etc. THe weight is almost back to the old level, but I feel it much after racking out a few sets.
    So, next is onto the bench I think. Which has been on a plateau for a while.


    In a rather long winded way, I looking for advice and tips on how i can improve my bench technique. (I'll gladly take tips on Sq or DL now, but bench is focus because I'm still making gains in the other two)

    You need to post a video or get a good trainer to check your form.
