    Hey guys.
Ive been working hard on my strength and fitness since early December getting ready for gaa season. I workout 6 days a week. I usually do mon, wed, fri weights and tue, thur, sat, with club but recently ive been doing twice a day for past month because im not working so to compensate being bored ive been doing weights in the morning and club training at night (ball work+fitness) on tue, thur, sat. Mon,wed, fri changes to fitness in the morn and weights at night. My fitness on these days consists of a forestery run which is 7km. I do it in 28 mins. I do the 7km run only once a week. Its tough with some stubborn hills.Id then do 6 x 1minute 80% run uphill (not too steep but a nice pull). They really knock the stuffing outa me. Id then do 6 x 30sec runs up same hill, warm down, stretch and home. Im eating pretty good, drink 6 pints of water a day and take reflex instant whey after each workout(morn + eve). Lately ive been feeling very fatiqued. We trained yesterday morn with club for a change and didnt feel fresh and found it hard to recover from working hard during a match between ourselves. For instance, the guy i was marking took off on a solo run and i chased him. Usually id leave him for dead in a sprint but yesterday i couldnt catch him. My legs wouldnt work for me and i was panting hard after that chase. I just fell sluggish. It made me wonder why im putting in the effort i do because i havent had a pint since xmas and watching my diet etc. The guy i was chasing down was out on the piss for Paddys Day and here he was leaving me for dead. Im just wondering am i doing too much and as a result my body is not getting enough rest. Could i add another supplement to my diet to compensate this tiredness or do i just cut back on the work load. I know that professionals train twice a day so its not unusual to do this work load or am i way off.
Please help as im putting in a serious effort and i feel ive hit a wall and its really pissing me off.
    Cheers in advance.

its possible you are over doing it, hard to say tbh. Those who work out twice a day really need to have diet + routine + rest nailed down though and you also need to eat a lot to ensure adequate re fueling

if your trainin twice a day its not protein you need its complex carbs also for energy sounds like you had no energy so you should look at your diet.

Porridge, brown pasta or rice, veg ect that sort of thing also udos oila all way mor important than protein mate. Get the nutrition right then the hard work trainin will really pay off

udos oils- a bottle of complete fat! but its better than it sounds, good fats, can get it most healthfood stores. I often train twice a week untill my body tells me no, then u gotta lay of the gas for a little and trust me your body will let you know when your doing too much(probably by text!). train smart- dont train for the sake of trainin, train because it will actually benifit you.

I train twice a day most days. Used to it at this stage so it doesn't phase me but at first i had to time what i ate just so i wouldn't bonk during the day. I found things like climbing a flight of stairs hard when it shouldn't be. I found a half hour nap during the day helped and eating good carbs throughout the day.

power naps are good they always help.

Your body will let you know definatley add udos oil its very good but takes two to 3 weeks to kick in. Try eatin more carbs and slightly less protein or a protein shake with oats. Less dairy too

Cheers for all the replies lads. Just after getting a bottle of Udos Oil by the way.Should i take it with every meal or is once a day enough. The instructions are vague enough. It just says take 2-3 table spoons with this that and the other. It doesnt say once twice or three times a day:confused:

i would recommend morning and night however i know elite athletes start by taking it 3 times a day and every day increse i one serving until they get constapated thus finding their tolerance.

Mad i know but they take 6-8 servings a day.

As i said one in the morning one at night should do it maybe two spoons each time.

Would you recommend dextrose to my diet or would i get enough energy from complex carbs and udos oil

    Cheers:)
