They're playing 4-4-2? Do they do this against weaker teams?

If by they you mean Villa, then they have played 442 for 90% of their games this season

2 RB's on the bench, just goes to show how short on options we are.

Craddock 1-1 his 5th of the season
He's only 1 off joint top scorer for wolves

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,254 ✭✭✭Esse85

Why were we defending so deep and WTF was Warnock doing before the free kick was given, poor from Warnock.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Scored as many as Heskey and Carew and Craddock wasn't off side either ;)

    Villas defence

I would take off Warnock, he's been useless, bring on Albrighton, play 3 at the back, with 5 in midfield.

MON has to make a change at HT

there will be more goals in this game

MOTD is going to be worth watching no matter what happens from this point on.

Is tiredness finally coming to the villa squad?

Last season villa had an early start to their season and they faded due to so many games from that early european start. Very thin squad by the looks of the bench too.

lack of rotation is killing the villa squad:D

One more foul from Petrov and hes off.

Already on a yellow and is persistantly fouling

Mariner isn't the type of ref to bring that into consideration

Get Petrov off before we go down to 10 men i'd say

I still think Villa will win this and the 5/2 available for a win isn't to be sniffed at.

    Gambling ftw!

I hope MON is in there chewing flesh.

tbh i agree with getting Petrov off but im not full of confidence with Sidwell and as the options are:

Guzan, Beye, Sidwell, Albrighton, Delfouneso, Clark, Young.

I See Stan starting the next half and if he cools down staying on for the duration unless things change (or hes sent off).

I believe MON will be giving them a vs Reading style half time dressing down atm

Not normally one to criticise but that's one of the worst 45 minutes I've ever seen from a Villa player in Heskey - missed every header he's gone for, several misplaced passes, he's fallen over twice in possession, and gave it away on the halfway line which led to their 2nd. Dreadful stuff. Not doing himsellf any favours here in front of Capello...

Petrov has been spoken to on a yellow. One more foul and he's off. We'll be down to 10 men if he's not subbed...

Hopefully they come out with all guns blazing like they did against Blackburn in the CC

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

I think villa are going to come out like they did against reading and probably win

In the off chance you are Graeme Souness, Heskey to be next goal scorer is 13/2!

Stick Delph on for Petrov & The Fonz on for Heskey.

Why on earth is L.Young not playing RB, bloody madness.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

If Petrov's to come off I think we should bring on Albrighton and switch Downing into centre-mid. We'll be a bit lightweight but going forward we'd be lethal. Fonz for Heskey too.

    /wishful thinking
