I've started walking over 4 k about 3 times a week, the plan was to evetually build up my stamina to run but at the moment im only managing to run a little bit at the start but i am keeping my stride up with the walking. Problem is my legs seem to be bulking up and that the last thing i want as my legs are already too big and they're the area i want to lost the jiggly bits! is it the fact im walking and not jogging it thats causing it? i was thinking maybe a should decrease the distanse and concentrate on buiding up my fitness on a shorter distance and then build it up rather than walking the 4 k.

Thanks i really hate my legs and thought this would help me out but its making them look worse:mad::(

Honestly, it's probably just your imagination. You're not doing anything that would cause your legs to bulk up. If you're looking to start running, you should check out this: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml

Its probably all in your head, concentrate on losing bodyfat and you'll see a reduction in size all over.

Highly recommend this program. I've just finished Week 7. I've gone from finding running for a minute a challenge to running 4k in 25mins in 7 weeks!
