the area between my chest and stomach? i have a really girly hourglass thing going on where my stomach curves in at my midsection then curves out again at my chest. its really infuriating. most situp exercises only target the stomach area so is anyone aware of any exercises that just target the midsection?

Are you basically saying you have a small waist? Put on some weight so.

no i have a fairly big waist and a big chest, but the area between the 2, the middle of my torso is really under developed.

Pictures. It makes no sense what otherwise.

Edit: It think you are confusing your waist and your hips. Your waist is measured directly above your belly button.

That's some lovely art. What height and weight are you? I think its just a matter of you needing to put on some beef.

From what i can see from your sketch you want a smaller waist. If so it's the oldfashioned combo of calorie control and exercise. I'd recommend pilates because it specifically targets your core muscles so it's good for the tummy area. However, you prob need to look at your diet too and see how much carbs you are eating. Reduce the carbs, watch the calories, do pilates and you should see a difference in your waist area.

i probably could do with losing some flab from my broad beam but thats not my greatest worry, building up my lats is going to be my main priority for the time being
