    Late Late Show Tonight

One of the biggest female stars on British television will be among Ryan Tubridy's guests on 'The Late Late Show' tonight.

'Strictly Come Dancing' host Tess Daly will be talking about her career and her recent experiences in the media spotlight.

Also joining Tubridy on tonight's show will be Irish actors Brendan Gleeson and Cillian Murphy whose new film, 'Perrier's Bounty', opens next week.

Fr Brian D'Arcy and Monsignor Maurice Dooley will be discussing the Catholic Church's handling of the abuse scandal in light of Cardinal Seán Brady's comments earlier this week.

Among the musical guests will be Mumford & Sons.

'The Late Late Show' is on RTÉ One tonight at 9:35pm.

    Good
Among the musical guests will be Mumford & Sons.

Tubridy announces he is quitting the Late Late as he is not fit for office.

♫ But it was not your fault but mine
and it was your heart on the line
i really fucked it up this time
    didn't I, my dear? ♫

Himself and Brendan Gleeson are doing the press rounds for Perrier's Bounty at the moment.

Fr Brian D'Arcy and Monsignor Maurice Dooley should be an interesting little debate! Dooley got some very bad critism during the week. It'll be interesting to see how he gets through this one.

not sure tubridy is the best person to manage this debate though

Oh dear, this is how standards get lowered.

I stand by my comment. Look at the last 4 weeks:
March 12th: Boyzone, Liz Hurley, Crystal Swing
    March 5th: Eurosong
Feb 26th: Shane MacGowan & Victoria Clarke, Eamon Dunphy, Jim McDaid, Eddi Reader, Gilbert O'Sullivan.
Feb 19th: Colin Farrell, Neil Jordan, Martin McAleese, Corinne Bailey Rae

Dunphy and Colin Farrell were the only interviews I had any interest in.
Tonight, I'm interested in Gleeson/Murphy, the religious debate, and Mumford & Sons.

3 in one night (compared with 2 in 4 weeks) represents a big improvement in my interest levels.

Does not compute. Does the initial statement in bold match with the 2nd one?

Yeah, he will be outclassed in this debate, he can't rely on his extensive knowledge of Jane Austin for this one.

I'd imagine all the record sales were by family and friends. I don't think it would take that many to get on to the charts!

Rhian Sugden...what about HER role, like she ran to The Sun and sold her story. What about HER texting a man she knew was married, where is HER responsibility?....ooh wait, she's a profile seeking glamour model.

Brendan O' Conner might have, Tubridy certainly not .. Sayn that Tubridy is probably gearing up for his "Priest Bullying" mode. The amount of time we have to listen to this debate about priests is nearly abuse in itself.

it's not a great lineup, but far from the worst. Like I said before, there are too many media outlets and not enough star quality guests these days. Cant blame Tubridy for that one.

    It's standard Tubridy-speak.
Any mediocre "celebrity" is always elevated to "one of the most successful actors/musician/whatever of his/her generation" or "one of the best-loved" etc etc.

at least we can all agree that brendan and cillian will be entertaining,

I camped beside him a few years ago at oxegen (first year it was in punchestown) and he was so shy and laid back.. we talked a few times over the weekend but mainly didnt mix with others..

Sounds like a fairly decent show tonight with a good mix. I agree about Crystal Swing, they should be the house band - if Ellen DeGeneres doesn't snap 'em up first!

She wasn't in a relationship with someone at the time and had small children with them.

I thought it was really brave to ask those straight questions to the priests. Why not? With all of what is going on within the church it's no harm that the priests were asked direct questions. The days of pussy footing around them are gone. They should be treated respectfully but no harm in asking their position on important issues. He did a fantastic job there!!!

they say her book would have gone to number one in the book charts if vernon hadn't been texting the women, she was in the throes of promoting it when she had to lay low as the media were hounding her for a comment

He mispronounced the movie title, Research fail by Tubridy as usual.

Don Wycherley gets shot in that movie. Worth seeing it for that alone.

Gleeson is funny, Cillian started nervously but settled in well.

Man i just love Brendan Gleeson!!!

    Also Cillian looks really nervous.
