Someone also told me that Bertie's Dream was in fine form but he's no form on good ground that i can see. Kauto will win and Imperial Commander e/w.

Also Carlito Brigante has his ground in the Triumph. Of course if the rain come earlier than they think, this will change everything as they are meant to water the last mile from what i can make out.

Why is denman;s odds so long? Surely the true price should be shorter?
Can someone enlighten me as to why this is so. Plus has denman ever beaten kauto?
    thanks
also where is yer man who did the stats on day one? Could do with them for tomoro. My hunch for Friday would be alot of favorites to ride home

denmans odds are so big because he fell lastime out, and kauto is a class horse and on form.
denman bet kauto in the 2008 gold cup by about 8 lengths if remember rite.
and last about the stat guy dont know.

The feeling is that Denmans day is done after such a poor performance last LTO Kauto Star on the other hand hasn't done anything wrong. Add in Tony McCoys two falls today and I wouldn't be surprised if the price hasn't drfited out again.
Disputed lead until definite lead from 11th, 1 length ahead when blundered and headed 4 out, 3 lengths down and under strong pressure when blundered and unseated rider 3 out (op 1-8)

I was thinking of lumping 50 quid on Denman to place?Winnings would be 45ish? Is he solid enough to come in the top 3? hopefully he has put the AON fall behind him and AP will keep on him like a hawk

Who are the front runners in the 1.30 and 2.05? Ruby is on two solid horses, should they place aswell or over-rated?

I still think he has a massive chance. I was planning a sizable bet on him had the week gone better for me but I might have to be a bit more careful. I'm hoping 4-1 is good luck, I backed him at 4-1 when he gave that massive performance in the hennessy. I know the Kauto will take some beating but I think I will go with the heart rather than the head. If I did that today id have had Albertas run.

McCoys fitness is a worry though.

Tanya Stevenson (female!) was very sweet on Trickytrickster, infact shes backed him to win! maybe betting with the heart there.

Paddy brennan reckons him mount for the 1.30, olofi is a great e/w at 14/1. Francombe agrees, hes had a decent bet on him ante post. Paddy also seems very confident about imperial commander for the gold cup, have to say im tempted myself with an each way bet. Looks a tank of a horse.

Regarding McCoys health, apparently francombe rang him this morning and he said hes grand, not a bother. Like he never had a fall...........he's an ironman!

Thats about all i can remember from the morning line

I'm going to throw a few on Imperial Commander to win just to have an interest when watching the gold cup of course

Denman has beaten Kauto Star - quite convincingly. However there's a train of thought that maintains Kauto wasn't fully wound up for the day - something I find very hard to believe. One thing for certain is that it wasn't Kauto best performance.

That race really got to the bottom of Denman and he hasn't been the same horse since then. He's had serious heart problems where at one stage it looked as if he was going to die.

Since his come back he's run in spots. His initial come back run this year was an excellent performance. However on his last day out he just didn't seem to be taking McCoy into the fences as the real Denman does. He made a bad mistake 3 out and fell at the second last. There are question marks as to whether he would have won that race even if he hadn't made the mistakes. Personally I think he would but not as convincingly as he should.

Kauto Star looks to be in the best form of his life based on his last run.

Kauto is certainly the horse to beat but Denman is known as the boss in the yard!

I hope Denman does the business as he's a complete superstar.

just looking for a bit advice in the 1.30. Horse called Barizan had 7 races over this distance with 5 wins and 2 places. He has also had a 1st and 2nd at cheltenham with most his races on good ground and and his last 5 races he has been carrying a heavier weight.

only thing i see is he aint ran since december?

The question is why is he running at 33/1

I've backed Barizan in all his races over this distance to date. The horse is a bit of a pig to be honest and the man, who's normally, on board get him around.

This is a different class of race and I really don't think he'll be good enough.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I'm having about the worst week of my life tipping so the mere fact that I don't think he'll win is probably enough for the horse to win by 10-15l!

Right been having a shocker this week so ignore these!

    €1 e/w lucky 15

    1.30 - Carlito Brigante
    2.05 - Oldrik
    2.40 - Tell Massini
    3.20 - Imperial Commander

€100 win Kauto Star and thats the wallet empty so if none of them win then no bet on the last 3 races!
