Breakfast: Porridge + Golden Linseed, water, and possibly a banana or some type of fruit.

Lunch: Bit difficult as haven't much time to eat in college but normally bring load of grapes, yoghurt or two, plus another bit of fruit. Water.

Dinner: Meat(normally pork/bacon or else chicken) and a huge plateful of veggies. Water.

Sooooo. Used to be 9 stone(Which was the perfect weight for my height) then over the course of the last 2 or 3 years I've gone up to 12 flippin' stone

Only good thing about the weight increase was alot of weight went to my boobs! :p

I've started eating alot better these days and will keep it up as have a goal of looking good for going to America for the summer :D
Started up my kickboxing training again in my spare time and walking.

So I know I will be loosing bit of weight slowly but surely but I would love it if I could keep my boobs and loose the weight from other parts!

Any tips/advise? Or should this be posted in the Fitness place...

the no weight loss in the boob department is NOT going to happen as when you drop fat its going to drop from everywhere.

You can certainly help give them more lift with press ups and overhead press exercises though

Transform is right, you lose weight from top to bottom generally, so it comes off the face first, then the neck and then the chest. Last thing to go is belly and thighs, which is unfortunately where most people want to lose weight first.

But arm-flys and push-ups definitely do help the underlying muscle which helps keep 'em perky :)

my fat tests with clients do not agree with the top to bottom statement.

Just that people drop it in different areas according to varying hormone levels really e.g. insulin high due to high carb intake will cause more fat gain around the waist etc

    What are arm flys!?

I'll definitely do plenty of them exercises then so.
Well even if I loose a bit too much off them I can just put it on again by eating the wrong foods ha!
    Cheers folks

The great thing about boobs is that you almost never get them out naked. So if you wear a push-up bra or one with a bit of built-in padding, no-one is any the wise. Plus, of course, dropping weight from the waist and hips automatically makes your boobs look bigger.

Never get them out when naked  Confuzzled!

They have always been grand but with the extra weight they just got better. Like free boob job without the expense! :D

That last bit in bold is true I had forgotten about that.

I mean that even if you have a great pair of bangers, you still don't go round with them nakkid. You have them inside a tight t-shirt or something. Legs and arms and even abs occasionally have to be exposed in public, but very rarely boobs.

do all of whats in this video to start with and then take it from there.

if you cant do all of whats in the vid i would ask some questions about getting the very basics right first as most women need to focus on doing all of this and use a proper weights program to seriously ramp up the fat loss and increased muscle tone

Sorry to hijack this thread but if high insulin levels as a result of high carb intake causes more fat gain around the waist, what causes fat gain around the ass/thigh area???

Yep. Being female. The good news is that fat around the bum and thighs have far less health implications, but it's hell to shift. This fat just needs lots of calorie counting for a long time. The only time the female body is willing to give up this fat without a major struggle is when you are breastfeeding.

current theories would suggest its high cortisol levels (this applies to men and women) from stress, lack of sleep etc

Dealing with stress better and getting more sleep can help almost everyone have more energy and oh yes cut back on the caffeine also (increases cortisol).

Oh and Transform the above exercises, to help firm upper body, are they ok for someone with a weak / dodgy back?? *Note - I am seeing a doctor about my back and I am getting an MRI in May!! Thanks

I currently have a weak/dodgy back and I do both a pilates class and a yoga class once a week. I also do a series of core exercises at home myself 2 or 3 times a week. I missed a few weeks recently and backache has returned so it seems these exercises will be part of my daily routine forever.

However, don't attempt any exercises without consulting your physio first. You may also want to consider going to a pilates or yoga class for a while so you know how to do the exercises properly at home. When I started I was only doing very basic exercises and I built it up gradually.

I am not allowed do any yoga or pilates at the minute :( Have to wait for the MRI so prob have to wait until then to do the above exercises!!! :( Thanks

cant make that call for you but from my experience most back pain is directly related to terrible flexibility (not being able to touch your toes is a simple start) and weak core muscles

I used to think that some lower back pain was due to me been hunched oer on the bike so much. When i actually engaged my core on the bike and started doing more core work as well as paying much more attention to my hip flexors, back, shoulder and ham, quad and calf flexibility i have no back pain.

That's quite frustrating but at least you're booked in for an MRI. I hope they find the cause of it.

I am actually over flexible, but I know my core is weak but can't do anything to strengthen it at the minute in case I do more damage to the problem already there!!!!

Not booked yet, waiting until after my exams!

totally agree and as mentioned i see this ALL the time and quite often an MRI will come back telling people what they possibly already know - poor flexibility and weak core muscles or weak glutes or very tight piriformis muscles.

overall even with back issues you have to start somewhere but its identifying what is the most pressing issue to resolve first that is the key

Just to quote this again as didn't get an answer, cheers!

Over head press exercises are when you start with dumbbells or barbell at chest/shoulder height and push it over your head, so your arms are almost straight.

There are various fly exercises, Chest fly is where you lie on a bench with dumbbells held straight up over your chest, and you lower them until they are level with your body, than raise again. Reverse fly is where you stand, hinged forwards at the hip, so your body is parallel to the ground, with the dumbbells hanging down in front of you, and you raise them until they are level with your body.
