    Hi,

I am currently trying to get myself into working out for the first time. I live in town but work in Clondalkin area and I think it would be best to find a gym near work so I dont get lazy and end up on my couch all evening when i get home. Any advice on good Gyms in the Area? I know there is one in Clondalkin and one or two in Liffey Valley if any of you have had any more recent (than what i can find on here) experience I would really apprieciate the advice. If I cant find one it will probably be crunch in town...

Sure try out a few and see which one takes your fancy. Don't feel under pressure when they say their sale or promotion will end in the next 8 minutes or whatever.

But first things first, start doing something!

i have checked out a few websites, Clarion, Jackie Skellies, Liffey Valley Fitness and Clondalkin Leisure but the latter is the only one that states their cost. Anyone know of any others or reccomend any of the above? I'm a little scared to go in as I may come out paying more than I should (dont trust sales people) but I am going to ring around the above a little later...again any advice is welcome, thanks

Go to all the places that you would be willing to go to, get the prices and have a look around to see which you prefer, but don't sign up for anything till you have seen everywhere.
