I am 17 and I play hurling for my local club.
We train 4 times a week and I have started doing a gym workout to try and increase my general strength and fitness.
I am only doing it once a week at the moment but I hope to start doing it more often soon.
Basically I am wondering if I am doing anything wrong and if there are better exercises to do.

    Workout:
    Biceps Curl 3x15
    Triceps Extension 3x15
    Bent over row 3x15
    Bench press 3x15
    Dumbbell fly 3x15
    Squats 3x15
    Straight leg deadlift 3x15
    Calf Raises 3x30

    Any advice much appreciated

Currently doing Doug's 4 day split and I recommend it for a 2 months then move on. 15 reps per set is good for endurance but to increase strength I'd go for less reps 8 to 12 range with heavier weights.
3 sets for arms, 4 sets for the rest. Doug's 4DS is great: 12/10/8/6 for compound, 10/8/6 for arms.

A four day workout would not work you me because I would be too tired for training.
    Anyone else have any suggestions?
