the details are listed following the link
    10x magnification
    High quality prism
    50mm fully coated lenses
Field of vision up to 114m wide at 1000m
Compact and light, non-slip rubber casing
    Integrated tripod thread
Includes case, strap & cleaning cloth
    Price per pair

from just looking at the illustration they are obviously porro prism due to the offset between the objective and the ocular lenses

from the given details they have the exact same field of vision as the previous Bresser

And as stated in the details they are fully coated, for those not familiar this means the air to glass surfaces are coated with an anti-reflective coating, you can see this on all lenses from the apparent blue tint. The famous bresser pair are also fully coated but unfortunately at the price point they are obviously not going to be Fully multi coated (meaning multiple layers of antireflective coatings as opposed to the single coating used on fully coated lenses) and red multicoating; which reduces glare in bright lighting conditions, such coating which is not necessary for observing the sky at night but not indicative of an expensive high quality set of bino's fyi the anti uv coatings may actually perform worse in lower light conditions.

I got a pair. anyone else? What do you think? Good view I think but find it hard to have just a circular view as in part D of page 3 of manual. And seem to be blurry at sides sometimes think hair/glasses get in way.

Defo be looking at eachother and birdies! The boots are grand for 15 quid, whether theyll be waterproof remains to be seen but they look good enough and couldnt resist the compass at 4 quid! Really wanted the gps watch but too expensive!

Yeah I got them and a compass, the bins are just fine, they're agrand pair to start off with and for that kinda money you can't really go wrong. I tried them out and they seem to be grand.

I just picked up a pair after work but only got to quickly look at them a short time ago in the dark, i havent found any issues like you describe as i didnt find it hard to get a circular field of vision, they seem to accomodate a good range of eye spacing just like the meade branded pair. are you sure you have correct eye relief? also if your having blurry image problems try adjusting the dioptre (on my pair it seems a little stiff but the focuser is a little looser than my meade pair)

All in all they are on par with the Meade/bresser pair. the price is the most favourable point.

I do have a little gripe with them though in comparison to the meade/bresser; the lense covers are rubber. The ocular covers are a very lightweight rubber (they dont just slide off they seem to stick a little at times on the rubber of the eyepieces and turn inside out on removal) Also the objective lens covers are a light rubber to which at first i thought was an improvement over the meade/bressers plastic ones but putting the binos back into the storage case is a pain, they dont just slide in like my other pair do with the plastic lens covers

The focuser on the Rocktrail slacks on the rubber, you can continually rotate the focuser even when there is no movement left when the eyepieces are either closest to the body or furthest away. This does not happen with the bresser model however, when focused out fully or vice versa the focuser will not budge anymore, or should i say the rubber on the focuser will not budge.

Also the cap on the screw thread for the tripod comes off with relative ease, i remember having to pry the cap off the bresser pair when i first got them

    And my other bresser pair actually feels a little nicer to hold due to the grips (may be because im so used to them) and they also feel a little heavier than the rocktrails which maybe due to differences in construction;

    Sorry pics arent great

    Rocktrail:
    dsc0099f.jpg

    Bresser:
    dsc0108qg.jpg
You can clearly see the brass on the Bresser in person

From the feel of both, the Bresser seems to have the edge of feeling as though they have a little better build quality

Of course these arent things to worry about its just my observation and i may be biased towards the bresser as i have had them so long and couldnt believe their quality initially for their price, so the rocktrails at their price presently doesnt have quite the same impact as when i first snatched a bargain with the Bressers. But the Rocktrails are definitely value for money even in 2010, considering, to find another bresser pair they seem to cost from £24.99 upwards without including shipping charges online

    Additionally they both feature the same optics;
    BAK-4
    Long Eyerelief (LE)
    114/1000m

My final assesment; another great bargain to be had at lidl Übermarket

The pocket Bino's arent bad either for the money, i bought a pair for the girlfriend.

I agree. Some time I went to a shop where I had looked at pair for around 150 euro. That day they let me look at hills and i focused on a building. To 'test' these I wnr back and stood outside the shop and looked at same building and i culd not tell the difference in the view nad remembered view. I am no an expert and probably the 150 were better but there is nothing wrong with these for 22 euro

Not sure if I'm right but I think anything metal close will affect a compass of this type.....

yes the power lines in your house, running through the walls and ceilings along with other electrical equipment. you cant get a reliable compass reading inside or in big towns or cities because they will pick up on localised magnetic fields as they will obviously have more influence than the earths magnetic field due to their extreme proximity, unless of course your using GPS

I just picked up a pair of these from lidl yesterday because of the BAK-4 prisms. i have tried and used many other binoculars throughout the years and these are by far the best. very clear and sharp. I can't believe they sell these for €22 excellent binoc's i have to say. now the only problem i have found is that the rubber casing on the binoc's collect dust and other things as you can see in the picture but thats only a minor thing. they are well built and the focus wheel is super smooth. great binoc's all round especially for the price. rocktrail 10x50, BAK-4, long eyerellef (LE) 114m/1000m oh one more thing they had 15 pairs left when i bought these. just a heads up.

I picked up a pair of these too, just one problem which is the location of the tripod screw, not sure maybe this is where it normally is on Binoculars.
Anyway just wonder is it possible to get some sort of right angle adaptor to to make it come out the bottom so I can attach to a tripod, also bought in Lidl.

You can get it directly from Bresser's site - http://www.bresseroptics.co.uk/product/Binocular%20Tripod%20Adapter
