    3 scotland
4 poland--pulled out due to injury on the tyre flip

Thats the exact result aye, Slawek Tolcek tore his right bicep on the tyre flip, the Ireland "b" team stood in for Poland but dont earn any points.

Fennelly was brilliant, however Mark Warner put in a poor performance considering how good he can be, he also took a hit to the head when the lifting bar dropped on him in the overhead press.

Mark Felix just tore it up though, v good performance especially in the farmer's walk.

Really good, six events back to back. My favourite was the team tyre flip. 505kg tyre flipped 8 times. Amazing to watch, I hope to have some of it up on youtube during the week. Defo recommend seeing the strongman champions league later in the year if this is anything to go by.

glad to hear you enjoyed the show yesterday i organised it for my sins. It went well Slawek tearing his bicep was a big blow but the Irish A team did well and its great to see there is two good lads coming through.

Mark Felix and Laurence Shahlaei where excellent they are amazing strongmen.

James Fennelly showed he can compete at the top level and Dave did well i was surprised he wasnt hurt bad from hitting his head on the shoulder press but he kept goin

Louis Mclean and Jimmy Marku put on a good show they are very entertaining and real gentlemen.

The Polish team had to pull out due to injury but had finished 2nd in the first event the super yoke medley

Ireland A went well Valdes and Eoin Shannahan went well winning the team deadlift (they where fresh) but the highlight of the day was watchin Eoin Shannahan beat Jimmy Marku in the farmers walk well done Eoin

All in all a good day if anybody needs info on other shows or are interested in competing please let me know at gkirwan@o2.ie

What was the turnout like on the day?
The weather was good at least which has to help.
Was Mother's day a scheduling issue as in if it was not mother's day more would have turned up?

Good pics so far. Any more or vids would be great.

The attendance was disapointing around 800 we thought it would be better.

Mothers day was a small issue but onwards and upwards.

Strongman Champions League Ireland is next in June and that will run at Sports Expo Ireland which will be a great event loads to see and do from bootcamps to martial arts all at the expo.

    It all sounds good mate.
800 is not so bad. If that was a BB'ing show you'd be over the moon!:)
Hopefully you broke even and as you say onwards and upwards - great to see genuine big names in strongman coming over!

What were you hoping for on the attendance?

We had hoped for 2,000 but with mothers day and the parade it was only 800.

If anybody has any ideas for sports expo ireland or suggestions please put the on the expo thread and we will see what we can do.
