Just eat lots and lots of food.

There is no secret, just eat calorie dense stuff like milk, nuts, oats, pasta, pizza, whatever...

    Beer???
I know it can be hard to put on weight some people can eat the house and still not put on weight. Be careful don't eat only sweet things as this has its own complications. Eat lots of healthy foods and look at the food pyramid it will give you good guidance.

like podge sed, solid food. carbs protein and good fats.
I'm not a big believer in supp. take some protein (iso) after trainin just incase it works but wen i get home its straight for the blender tuna and water. I was 123kg in dec and still rising. ur bodytype can b ecto, endo or meso but u can adjust ur meals accordingly. every two hours, 3 max. do this consistently and u will gain

Hi, I just had to sign up to boards.ie to say, that was the funniest thing I read in a long time, thanks for cheering me up after a long week. If there was a prize for gaining weight as a nation, I say we would be well in with a chance :D

Wait you don't like protein powder but you blend water and tuna? I'll stick to the supps thanks.

This may sound completely far fetched but why not just eat the tuna?

If you read my post carefully you'll see I didn't say you liked it either...regardless of this semantical issue, what possible reason could you have for blending tuna and water, and why do you think it is preferential to whey? And how will this suggestion help the op gain weight, considering the low carb/fat/calorie nature of tuna?

Good point the girl in the first video made about multivitamins

Theres a lot of criticism on this forum against multivits, but as she said, use only as an insurance policy, JIC you come up short in one area of nutrients

thank you all for ur responses i didnt think anyone would answer lol, i eat healthy no refined foods eat loads of carbs but i just cant pile the food in fast enough, i eat every 4 hours. i have heard not so great things about supplements but if any one had any good experiences with a particular brand if they could share the info on it that be great. im just sick of not being able to shop for clothes a size 4 is hard to find so im often forced to shop in the kiddies section.

The big round things you stick on the Barbells.

The word also refers to the things you put food on, which is also important here. :)

    Podge said it.
The common idea if you want to put on some weight is to get lots of food into you. Up meat intake.

Make sure that your strength training is using exercises that use a lot of your muscles.

    http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/Starting_Strength_Wiki

That is a site that outlines a basic strength training programme that may/ or may not suit you, but have a read anyway.

takes about 3-4 minutes to eat tuna-i dont particularly like the taste, where as i can drink it in about 5 seconds. thats the only reason

i'm just pretty sceptical of all supplements. solid food works for me where supps have failed. also as i'm sure your aware protein a key ingredient in muscular hypertrophy, but i did not mean to suggest it be the sole component of his meals. i did say carbs and good fats

The stickies above are all you need to know really. To gain weight you need to lift big and eat big; they're the basic principles. You say you eat every four hours? What do you eat exactly? Write down everything you eat in a logbook, down to the last slice of cheese. Then work out how many calories you're ingesting every day; evidently it isn't enough to fulfil your goals. Make the decision to increase this; for instance if you're taking in 1900 cals a day bump this up considerably. To do this you need to identify high calorie good foods, as well as ensuring this food contains adequate protein (the building block of muscle gain.) Lean steaks, milk and peanut butter; these are three foods that will aid the process of weight gain. Eat every three hours at most. Complex carbs such as brown rice and wholewheat bread are a must.

Milk is your friend. As are eggs. Eat them all. It takes a while to get accustommed to stuffing your face, but f*ck it, you'll get used to it. Make sure you maintain your food log throughout and continually ensure that you're eating adequate calories, it's extraordinarily easy to delude yourself when it comes to food intake.

As for lifting, again refer to the stickies. Whatever program you adopt make sure the bench press, squat and deadlift are part of it. It doesn't matter if there's two tea-bags on the barbell as long as you're challenged in your lifting and progressively moving up the weight.

I'm no expert, so again, consult the stickies.

    Good luck!

peanut butter, nice. jus a thought on the wholegrains (welcome your feedback as it's just my opinion), the nature of these complex carbs, gives a slow release which leaves feeling full for longer, i ate whites such as white rice and pasta. I found myself to be always hungry and eating every two hours was not too much of a challenge.
