My turn. Hmm... let's see... 1. It's Friday. 2. I just heard one of my favourite pieces of music on Radio 3, Debussy's "La Mer" 3. I got my bike back from being serviced at the local bike shop. It cost a small fortune but it's as good as new again. 4. Had a very satisfying home-cooked meal. 5. I'm alive! And I'll almost certainly still be alive tomorrow!

Lovely idea for a thread These aren't just today but this week really!

1. I'm going to Killarney with some great friends on Tuesday for a few days to celebrate St. Patrick's Day
2. The bright, sunny mornings we've been having recently
3. I have the most amazing, supportive parents
4. I'm starting to feel fit and healthy again after a long medical problem
5. Realising that when one door closes another one opens, it really does :pac:

Great idea - gives us a chance to acknowledge what we're grateful for!

1. It's Mother's Day and my mother is alive and well.(Lost my Dad suddenly last year)
2; I have a wonderful son and daughter.
3; I re-married a year and half ago and have never been happier.
4; I am still managing to pay my bills!
5; My daffodils are just about to bloom (my favourite flower)!

Now I feel much better than I did before I saw this thread! Thank you OP!

4. Im babysitting one of my neices tomorrow
5. My IBS has calmed down (hence pizza order)

2. I am looking forward to hanging wit my sis and her fiance tomorrow for the rugby
3. I saw Shutter Island today and it is AWESOME
4. After a sh1t break-up, i'm starting to come around to being myself again

1. In 1 week I leave for my trip home!!
2. I have a roast cooking in the oven and I'm going to seriously enjoy it when it's ready. Nom!

4. I just bought tickets to see John Mayer. I've wanted to see him live from ages.
5. My cat brought in a lizard this morning. I don't know if this is a good thing for me but he was absolutely thrilled with himself so I think it should be included.

1. I'm still alive and healthy. 2. I found a stack of old Ladybird books, mostly Peter and Jane books, and I've been poring over them, reliving my early childhood. 3. I've just downloaded a lot of tracks from the internet and I can play them anytime. 4. I'm warm and dry in spite of all the lousy weather we've had lately. 5. I'm able to surf the net and post on Boards.ie on my mobile phone!

2. I have 2 beautiful, clever, and genuinely good hearted children. Good people of the future, and I'm so proud of them.
3. Great friends, 2 of which are spending the night here.
4. A gorgeous loving cat, part of our family, and such a joy every day.
5. The house of my dreams in the country (not a big house, but my perfect home).

I'm an anxious person, 15 years ago, I would never have believed it if you had told me I would have all these things and I would be so happy. So to anyone anxious, it can happen.
