    Hi folks,

Hoping someone can help me out. Have lost bou 3 stone over the last 18 months. Am f, 5 71/2 and currently weigh 152lbs, but can't seem to get below this, and I am carrying a lot of weight on my stomach, that I cant seem to shift. The problem is I have a slipped disc in my back so am very restricted in what I can do. I walk bou an hour a day but slowly and do a small bit of swimming.

My diet is fairly healthy, but just wondering if there is anything I can do or specific foods I could eat that would help, my goal weight is 133lbs (9.5 Stone ) or there abouts.

    Would really appreciate any suggestions.

    Cheers

There's a thread on the first page, with almost the same title?

My Girlfriend always says it's the carbs that ruin everyone, not too sure how true that really is. I lost a stone in the past 3 months and that was purely excersize everyday for 30 mins and as i got fitter i'd work out for a lot longer.

I understand it can be a lot harder to work out if you have a slipped disk...as you are really restricted when it comes to movement.

I hope you get better soon.

you should probably post full days typical diet so folks can offer opinions.. with a slipped disk diet is going to be key factor here .. youve done pretty well so far though :)

    OP,

Check with your Doc, but Aqua Jogging could be a good option.

It's non-impact which should be okay if you have back problems.

cheers for the replies, try to eat fairly healthy most of the time

Brekkie - Porridge & skim milk
Lunch - mix of carrot, celery, tomato, cucumber & 2 laughing cow, some melon for afters.
    Snacks - apple ,pear
Dinner - roasted veg , home made burger or beef stirfry
2 litres water , 1/2 cups of coffee

havn't drank in over 2 months since i hurt my back. Walk 30 mins twice a day slowly , and do small bit of swimming 2/3 times a wk.

I do allow myself slice of bread at the wkend and some pasta, but nothing major. Just cant seem to shift the weight from my stomach and backside. I'm getting very frustrated with it, nothing seems to work and doc says it could be months before my im able to do any proper exercise.

will deffo try the aqua jogging, will try anything. Have barely moved recently and need a lot of toning.

Thanks for the suggestions tho, will keep at.
