Getting worried

    Hi,

On a new diet about 6 months this week. Used to absolutely have a terrible one, probably about 3 - 4 chocolate bars a day, crisps, fries etc.

Anyhow, went onto a far healthier one and cut out everything bar one cheat meal on a Saturday and alcohol once a week.

Eating salads / chicken / veg / steak everyday and lost 10kg in that time.

However, instead of feeling better and energised, I feel tired all the time, light headed to the point I feel I'm gonna faint and nauseous. I went to the Dr who said I have Vertigo, but I genuinely don't think it is.

One of my mates suggested it could be related to this diet that my body isn't refuelling enough.

    Anyone any ideas?

Ok - so you'd prefer to take your mates opinion over the doctor's diagnosis?

Did the doctor run your bloods?

not taking his opinion, it was just something he suggested as he is big into nutrition

no, but i'm gonna go back to him tomorrow and ask. it's the only think I can think of that maybe I'm lacking something. been light headed for too long ( some would say all my life :p ) so would rather get a 2nd opinion and relax a bit.

    thanks for the replies.

I would actually go to a different doctor if I were you. It seems irresponsible that he didn't test your bloods, to try and identify what is causing your tiredness and vertigo.
