Banner headline, just broken in the last few minutes

Actor Corey Haim died this morning of an apparent overdose, according to LAPD. He was 38.

Police tell us they were called to St. Joseph's hospital in Burbank, CA shortly before 4AM PT to investigate.

Haim shot to fame in the 80s -- when he co-starred in a number of films, including "The Lost Boys," with Corey Feldman.

The best way to describe it is, he was supposed to be mega famous but only got slightly famous and as a result got more famous for failing to be famous.

    Ah Mike.

In the 65 years you've been online (I'm just going to assume that's what the number stands for) you know well that a simple google will explain all of that, instead of you eagerly awaiting a concise description from a fellow poster.

This thread is turning into a series of jokes now. Disgraceful. Have some respect for the tragic loss of the boy.

    RIP Corey.
I always got the two of them confused-was he the one in The Goonies and The Burbs?
They were both cute back in the day even if they were a little old for me.

EDIT: i see it was Corey Feldman i was thinking of.

He was a man. The Goonies was about 30 years ago.

Wasn't there rumours of a Goonies sequel being possible?
Sadly, this might effect that happening or at least delay it more now.

Corey Haim wasn't in the Goonies Corey Feldman was.

The two Coreys had a major falling out at the end of season two of their show in 2008. Don't know if they made up again or not.

Ahhhh damn it Corey...stupid drugs :(

Well, honestly, who didn't see this coming for the guy. He was a chronic drug user who kept falling off the wagon.

If anything, he was still living off the tails of The Lost Boys success forever and was more famous for having missed the big-time boat. I always preferred Feldman myself though :pac:

It's AH. The line between subtle humour and moral outrage is a blurred one.

Its old age, I'm going dafter by the second. :(

Loads won't recognise him as he looks way different to when he was in Lost Boys etc.
I know he was big into his prescription drugs but hoped he would eventually get off them.
He was due to start filming or was already started filming some new one.
He was getting back into things thanks to the TV show The Two Coreys.

    :(

    :(

I remember reading something about him (if its him?) making a comeback after the Lost Boys 2 film.
A sad sudden end to what could have been more precious chances in life. :(

IMDB for Lost Boys 2 mentions "Corey Feldman" - I'm confused.
