    Week Two TV - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=64934496&postcount=28

Week Three – Live from Pittsburgh Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Welcome everyone to Premier Wrestling Federation - “Up The Premier!”

The show opens tonight with a recap of the contract signing between PWF World Champion Shawn Michaels, and Number One contender Sheamus.

There is then a run-down of tonights card.

Tonights main event features the PWF Heavyweight Champion, Shawn Michaels, facing Austin Aries.

We will also see the Lucha Libre exhibition match, between the legendary Santo and Rayo de Jalisco

However, it’s now time for our opener

Match #1 – Kensuke Sasaki vs Takeshi Morishima w/Matt Striker

Very hard hitting battle between the former tag team champions. Sasaki seems surprised at the new version of Morishima he is facing. Ultimately, Strikers guidance proves too much for Sasaki, and Morishima picks up the victory after a hard fought battle

Winner via pinfall in 10:18 – Takeshi Morishima

After the match, Striker orders Morishima to apply the Bearhug to Sasaki. He starts mocking Bruno, saying anyone could do that! After a few seconds, Morishima releases the hold and they leave the ring to a chorus of “Bruno!” chants from the crowd.

    *commercial break*

We return to a vignette featuring Jonny Storm, Jody Fleisch and Paul Birchill lying on a beach in Barbados. Jonny says that they will have lovely tans for when they debut in Croke Park. Birchill says that they’ll will have such a strong tan that they will stand out among the pale Irish as the biggest tans in Croke Park. Jody notes that he kind of already had a tan, and is starting to turn black. Birchill comments that Jody will be black, and he and Jonny will be tans!

We return to see a dejected Kensuke Sasaki walking to the dressing room backstage. He walks past Roderick Strong, who laughs and calls him washed up. Sasaki looks angry, as Strong quickly walks away.

Match #2 Rayo de Jalisco vs Santo

Santos in-ring debut for the PWF is met with a thunderous ovation from the PWF Universe (wha?). These two legends are bringing the legendary art of Lucha Libre to a new generation of fans, and the fans voice their approval with chants of “Santo!” and “This is awesome!” ringing out throughout the Civic Centre. As the crowd reaches fever pitch at the epic display in the ring, a shocked silence suddenly comes over everyone. They see someone attack the legendary Santo mid match. Rayo tries to help, but is quickly stopped with a swift kick to the gooleys. The man revelas himself to be Blue Demon Jr! The son of the legendary Blue Demon, Santo’s most fierce rival throughout his career. He beats down Santo, and exits to the shocked silence of the crowd

Winner via DQ in 11:37 - Santo

    *commercial break*

We return from commercial break in Paul Heymans office. He is furious that Blue Demon JR ruined his Lucha show case and immediately books a historic match between Santo vs Blue Demon jr for the Bloody Sunday PPV. Shane McMahon enters. He smugly tells Heyman that he told him he was a solid investment. Heyman says he hopes Shane will be even able to make it to the PPV, after how bad he pissed of Bam Bam last week. Shane says that won’t be a problem. The camera pans out to see Tito Ortiz enter and put his arm around Shanes shoulder. Tito tells Heyman Shane will be fine, as they leave the room.

    *commercial break*

It’s now time for our main event, as the number one contender Sheamus makes his way down to do guest commentary.

Match #3 - Non-title match – Shawn Michaels vs Austin Aries

Solid showing from Aries in a match that many people would have completely written him off in. Nice back and forth action between the two. After some time, Sheamus leaves the commentary booth in the hopes of distracting HBK. The referee sees him, however, and orders him to leave the ringside area! As this drama unfolds, Aries hits Michaels with a low blow behind the ref’s back. He gloats to the crowd, saying he is the greatest in the PWF Suddenly, Christians music hits, and Aries is livid! He turns, waiting for Christian, but Captain Charisma doesn’t appear. Aries gives up hope that Christian is coming, and turns straight into Sweet Chin Music for the 1-2-3!

Winner via pinfall in 14:40 – PWF World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels.

As the ref holds Michaels hand in victory, he is attacked from behind by Sheamus who never left ring side. Sheamus picks a tired Michaels up for the Razors Edge, but from behind Christian rescues Michaels from the devastating power bomb. Christian and Michaels leave the area like the two cute whoores that they are, smiling at a frustrated Sheamus and Aries, as this weeks PWF TV comes to a close.

Junior Heavyweight Title, 4 Way Elimination Match

Gregory Helms vs CIMA vs Hayabusa vs Dragon Kid

    563739_0a2511f87f_m.jpg VS 200px-CIMA1.jpg VS 0dBPziCE11E3lmG.jpg VS 200px-DragonKid.JPG
Gregory Helms is the current Junior Heavyweight Champion. He has recently shed the popular Hurricane gimmick much to the chagrin of the viewing audience. The Junior Divison is highly competitive with a host of international performers chasing the heel champion. The NWA has international links with Japanese promotions such as Dragon gate and regularly features touring stars.

    Week 1:
CIMA and Dragon Kid square off in an exhibition match to showcase their skills, wowing the audience with their fast paced offence. Gregory Helms on commentary is most derogatory towards the two Japanese stars.

    Week 2:
Helms cuts a promo in the ring expressing his distaste for the NWA audience. He has with him the Hurricane mask that he formerly wore as a firm fan favourite. He publically denounces the gimmick as pathetic and childish and points to the success he has enjoyed since he shed the popular persona. He rips the mask to shreds to the chagrin of the younger members of the audience.

    Week 3:
At the start of the show General Manager Larry Zybyszko announces that the Junior Heavyweight title will be defended at the NWA: Starrcade PPV ina four way elimination matche between Helms, Hayabusa, Dragon Kid and CIMA.

Helms squares off against CIMA in non-title match. CIMA what is something of an upset victory when Dragon Kid and Hayabusa come to ringside during the match , distracting Helms and allowing him to be pinned with a roll-up. Kid and Hayabusa are annoyed at the disrespect with which Helms has treated his mask. They view their own masks as sacred.

    Week 4:
Throughout the show rumours abound of numerous sightings of the Hurricane in full costume backstage. Later that night, Dragon Kid and Hayabusa square off, with Helms again on commentary. The crowd erupts when the Hurricane’s music hits and the masked superhero runs to ringside. He makes his way to the commentary position and poses in front of Helms, mocking him openly much to the champion’s embarrassment. The Hurricane unmasks to reveal CIMA laughing uproariously at the champion’s anger! The enraged Helms attacks him before Hayabusa and Dragon Kid join the fray as well!

The Four-Way match at Starrcade promises to be as spectacular as it will be hotly contested!

    Match Number 2.

Masato Tanaka Vs Mike Awesome, One Last Time.

    Masato_Tanaka.jpg VS 17991309_117193164197.jpg

    Week 1:
Mike Awesome squares off against a Tony Garea in his NWA debut and destroys him in under two minutes. He takes to the mic and declares that he is sick and tired of being held down everywhere he has wrestled: there will be no more Mr nice Guy. To accentuate his point, he gives Garea a running Awesome Bomb through a ringside table.

    Week 2:
Awesome squares off against a local jobber, destroying him easily, again needlessly putting him through a ringside table. After the match his career long nemesis Masato Tanaka appears on the entrance ramp, requesting yet another match against his old enemy. Awesome rudely brushes him aside saying that he has moved onto bigger and better things than Tanaka.

    Week 3:
Awesome once again goes through his now weekly routine of beating up an unfortunate jobber. He has fast become an unpopular heel with the audience who see him as a bully and a coward for ducking Tanaka last week. Before Awesome can hit his devastating Awesome Bomb on the unfortunate kid , however, Masato runs to ringside and hits an Awesome Bomb of his own on the bully, destroying a ringside table in the process, to the approval of the crowd!

    Week 4:
An enraged Awesome takes to the ring, microphone in hand.

“Tanaka, I though we had moved on from beating each other to death in every promotion we wrestled. I thought the NWA was a fresh start for both of us. But now you’ve gotten my attention yet again. So in memory of the good old days, at Starrcade, we’ll do it one last time, but this time I’m going to finish you off for good!”

Skin and hair is sure to fly, and tables will surely be broken when these two sworn enemies collide for the very last time at Starrcade!

    TV Build Up to NWA:Starrcade

Match 3: TV Title: "Dr Death" Steve Williams (c) vs Stan Hansen

    z40hwzqikj050ltvs0gt.jpg VS hansen.jpg

“Dr. Death” Steve Williams has been the NWA TV champion for nearly 2 years. He has been a fighting champion in that time as is regarded as the finest mat wrestler in the NWA as well as a tough as nails hard hitting brawler. Stan Hansen is his best friend and tags regularly with him in Japan.

    Week 1:
Williams retains the TV Title, wrestling to a 10 minute draw with Arn Anderson. Stan Hansen meanwhile secures a victory over Tully Blanchard in a bruising encounter. Hansen and Williams cut a backstage promo later in the night, with Williams calling himself “the best in the world.”

    Week 2:
Williams retains his TV Title beating IRS just before the time limit expires. Stan Hansen accompanies him to ringside, wary that Shyster’s comrades in the Millionaire’s Club faction,(the Dibiases) may attempt to interfere in proceedings. Post match, Williams heads backstage quickly, appearing to ignore his friend as he does so.

    Week 3:
Hansen wrestles Ted DiBiase Jr. Williams returns the previous week’s favour, accompanying his friend to the ring. Dibiase gets the schnakey win when IRS comes to ringside and hits Hansen over the head with his briefcase. Williams meanwhile is too busy signing autographs at ringside to help his friend.

Later in the night Hansen confronts Williams backstage, accusing him of letting his success go to his head and getting complacent and big headed. Williams arrogantly laughs in his friend’s face and points to the TV Title around his waist:

“I appreciate the advice old man, but the gold around my waist says that Steve Williams is the best in the world. And when you’re the best in the world, the rest just don’t matter.”

    Week 4:
Williams wrestles Eddie Gilbert for the TV Title, but the match is interrupted by Hansen coming through the crowd in typical fashion, his trademark bull rope swinging around his head. He attacks Williams in the ring, beating him down with stiff, clubbing blows and takes to the mic. He calls Wiliams an ungrateful little bastard and talks about the years they tagged together in Japan and how he took Williams under his wing when he was starting out in the wrestling business. He finishes up by challenging him to a match at Starrcade for the TV Title:

“If you really are the best in the world, then prove it by beating the toughest sonofabitch in the world at Starrcade!”

This promises to be the most difficult challenge Williams has faced to date in his record breaking reign as NWA TV Title holder, as he faces a fearsome opponent that knows him better than anyone else!

Match 4: World Tag Titles: The Horsemen (Arn Anderson/Tully Blanchard) (c) Vs New Money Inc. (IRS and Ted Dibiase Jr.)

    6540526_std.jpg VS irs.jpg & ted_dibiase_jr_1.jpg
“The Horsemen” Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard are the NWA World Tag team Champions. They are men apart and align themselves with neither face nor heel. Their excellence is beyond doubt and they pride themselves on getting the job done no matter what. Ted DiBiase Jr and IRS, along with The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, make up the powerful heel faction “The Millionaires Club.” They regularly tag together and are known as New Money Inc.

    Week 1:
Anderson and Blanchard aquit themselves well in singles matches against top class opponents in Steve Williams and Stan Hansen. Later they are seen exiting Ted DiBiase’s dressing room, smiling broadly with a large brown envelope under each of their arms!

    Week 2:
The Horsemen defend their World Tag Titles in a fantastic long match-up against the Steiner Brothers, confirming their status as the best team in the business. Later they cut a backstae promo showing off expensive new Rolex watches, mysteriously referring to the fact that they have recently come into money.

    Week 3:
The Horsemen are booked in a Six Man Tag Match, teaming with Dusty Rhodes against the three members of the Millionaires Club. Rhodes and the Horsemen have never seen eye to eye going back to their legendary feud on the territories back in the day. DiBiase is scheduled to defend his NWA World Title against Rhodes at Starrcade. After the match, the source of the Horsemen’s new found wealth becomes apparent.

The Millionaires Club handcuff Dusty Rhodes to the ring-post and begin to beat him down. The Million Dollar Man takes to the microphone:

“OK Anderson, Blanchard, get to work boys, break that bastard Rhodes’ leg! Everybody has a price and $10,000 a man is a small price to pay to get Dusty out of my hair for once and for all!”

Anderson and Blanchard however, seem in no hurry to do his bidding. They beat a hasty retreat from the ring. Anderson grabs a ringside mic:

“DiBiase, we might not like Dusty Rhodes but he’s beaten us enough times to have earned our respect, which is more than we can say for you! DiBiase, you and you minions are nothing but a cheap imitation of the 4 Horsemen, the greatest faction in pro-wrestling history. The fact that you’d pay another man to do your dirty work says it all. A real man, a Horseman, takes care of business for himself. We’re the Tag Team Champions of the world, DiBiase and the fact that you’d treat us as your paid help is an insult to the legacy we’ve built in this business. So we’ll be keeping your $20,000, if you want it back, come get it anytime, any place!”

    Week 4:
The Millionaires’ Club are understandably enraged at the show of disrespect from the Horsemen last week. They take their grievances to Larry Zybyszko, the General Manager of the NWA and an old “friend” of Dibiase’s. A backstage shows a large sum of money changing hands between DiBiase and Zybysko.

Later that night Ted Jr. and IRS interrupt one of the Horsemen’s matches.

“Anderson, Blanchard last week you hit the Millionire’s Club where it hurts us most and thats in the wallet. So this week, we’ve decided to take what’s most important to you. We’ve just had a very constructive meeting with Mr Larry Zybyszko and he’s agreed that New Money Inc are more than deserving of a shot at your titles at Starrcade!”

The heels hit a hasty retreat backstage, leaving the Horsemen fuming in the ring!

Can New Money Inc buy their way to the World Tag Titles? Find out at Starrcade!

Match 5: The Taliban "The Iron Sheik and the Original Sheik" Vs The Steiner Brothers

    aahf154_8x10-no350.jpg & 18e1824c.jpg VS JUvrsttQXnTpiN8.jpg

    Week 1:
The Iron Sheik cuts a profanity-laden, in ring promo putting down America for their actions in the Middle East and Afghanistan. The words “American pigs” and “humbled by Allah” are used a fierce amount. Finally Scott Steiner puts an end to the charade by hitting the ring and chasing off the evil foreigner

    Week 2:
Scott Steiner is apoplectic with rage, even by his own standards and takes to the ring with a live mic which is always dangerous. He cuts a quite brilliant promo cutting the Sheik and all Arabs to shreds, eloquently calling them “no good sand animal mother f*ckers” and referencing the 9/11 airplane attacks. He is particularly upset because his own brother Rick is currently on active service in Iraq “keeping those dirty Arabs in line.” Naturally the red-neck American fans roar their approval.

Sheik cuts a backstage promo sitting on a toilet, cursing the American people. The piece de resistance is applied as he uses the US flag to carefully and thoroughly wipe his butthole.

    Week 3:
The Iron Sheik challenges Steiner to a college style freestyle wrestling bout. Both men were legit wrestlers in their time. The pride of their respective nations is at stake as they square off in the ring. The Sheik manages to over-power Steiner and illegally applies the camel clutch. At this point the Original Sheik makes his debut running in through the crowd. He unleashes one of his trademark fireballs into the face of Steiner and attacks him with a spike, leaving him ain a pool of blood.

The Sheik takes to the mic declaring he and the Original Sheik as a “new force in the NWA called The Taliban, here to do the bidding of Allah and humble all American infidel who get in their way.” They leave Steiner lying in the ring with the Iraqi flag draped over him.

    Week 4:
The Taliban make their way to the ring. Their disgraceful actions have made TV headlines all week. Sheik goes on another of his crazed, incomprehensible yet fascinating rants on US-Iraqi relations. He douses the US flag with petrol and is about to set it alight when Scott Steiner hits the ring. Once again the Taliban play the numbers game and overpower him. However to the delight of the fans, Rick Steiner’s music hits and he hits the ring, fresh from his tour of duty, to make the save.

NWA officials had no hesitation in signing the match for Starrcade. The pride of a nation will be at stake as the All American heroes The Steiner brothers will do battle with the evil Taliban at Starrcade!

    hemmelogo.jpg

Adrian Adonis: Oh really?? Is that so? Well if you're that convinced he can, why doesn't Mikey face me at the VFW Mania?

    HVW Wired

    nvs4l5.jpg
One week to go before worlds collide at Thunderstruck! Things are really heating up and we have a massive main event for you tonight! Terry Funk will indeed be in action, one on one against HVW Undisputed Champion Brock Lesnar! We’re also expecting big news from GM Jimmy Hart regarding the stipulation of the main event. Thunderstruck, where intensities will reach overload...

Jimmy Hart arrives to the ring. He says that he didn’t think the main event could get any bigger or better than Ultimate Warrior v Brock Lesnar but Terry Funk adds an extreme and unique edge to the match. However, he states his intention to add the icing to the cake tonight. In the titantron appears a text number. He tells everyone to listen carefully as they’re going to have an impact on the stipulation of the main event. He says to text a, b or c to that number. The option appear on screen. A vote for option ‘a’ is a vote for a Barbed Wire Ring match, ‘b’ is a vote for a TKO match and ‘c’ is a vote for a 60 minute Ironman match. He tells the crowd and the viewers at home that they have an hour to text the number and that he’ll be back out to announce which one has been decided. JR and Cole comment that Cyber Sunday has just been taken to a new level. Fans can directly influence the main event to their liking now.
Backstage, Hardcore Holly is walking towards a locker room. He knocks on the door and calls for Chyna. She shouts not to come in because she’s not decent. He laughs and says that’s never stopped him before. Eventually she comes to the door and seems reluctant to let him in. He says that he left his cellphone in the room and needs it. In the room he stops for a second. “What smells like butter?” he asks. Chyna seems very sketchy about something. She quickly hands him his cellphone and wishes him luck in his match tonight. She then tells him that she needs some privacy and rushes him out of the room.

Match One: Cody Rhodes v Ahmed Johnson (w/Booker T and Stevie Ray)

HVW Empirical Champion Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring. The fans love the babyface and try to get behind him as Harlem Heat makes their way down to the ring. Booker T runs his mouth on the mic about how Rhodes only got this far because of nepotism and luck. He adds that he’s going to give Cody the beatdown of his life on Sunday as Ahmed charges into the ring and the match begins. Cody holds his own with the distraction of the brothers on the outside but it eventually gives Ahmed the upper hand. Courageously, he battles back and shocks Harlem Heat by stealing a victory with a schoolboy roll-up. He manages to escape up the ramp before they can assault him.

    Winner: Cody Rhodes

    cody-rhodes.jpg
Hardcore Holly is being interviewed backstage about his upcoming match against Bob Backlund. He’s about to answer a question when he sees his brother Crash over by the food table. Things clearly aren’t smooth between these two. He demands to know why he’s here. Crash says he was hoping to talk to him about something. Holly says that it’ll have to wait because he has a match now. Down in the ring, Pedro Morales makes his way to the announce table to sit at ringside for the upcoming match.

Match Two: Hardcore Holly v Bob Backlund

As the match begins, Morales discusses his lack of understanding regarding the actions of Backlund. He says they were tag team champions together and best of friends. JR points out that Backlund seems very prejudiced all of a sudden. Morales says he can’t get come to terms with it but he has to stand up for himself and his ethnicity which is why he’s requested that this be a no-holds barred match at Thunderstruck.

Holly is holding his own in the ring and is unlucky not to score a pinfall with a Falcon Arrow but just as he’s waiting for Backlund to come to his feet the titantron begins to play a GTV clip. It shows Chyna, Butterbean and Crash Holly in the locker room behind a shower curtain clearly partaking in a triple-threat of their own. Holly puts his hands on his head and screams ‘NO!’ at the titantron. Backlund is on his feet now though and locks in the Crossface Chickenwing to put Holly to sleep.

    212923-holly0130_large.jpg

    Winner: Bob Backlund.

Holly is out cold from the submission move as Backlund continues to beat him down. Morales runs to stop him and the two of them brawl. They have to be physically separated by staff and referees as we go to a commercial.
In Jimmy Hart’s office, Brock Lesnar is trying to persuade him to just go ahead and choose the TKO match. He presents Hart with a brown envelope and says there’ll be more where that came from if he gets his way. Hart turns his megaphone on and tells Brock that he’s being very naughty. He tells him to go get ready for his match. Lesnar squares up to him but Hart doesn’t give way. Eventually Brock turns and walks away. Hart waits until he’s gone and shouts ‘NEXT!’ into his megaphone. In walks Crash Holly and Butterbean. Hart can barely keep composed, obviously finding the whole scenario hilarious. He tells Crash that technically h shouldn’t even be here but seeing as how he has no problem taking (or sharing) his brother’s woman then he’ll have no problem taking his job either. Hart makes a Holly v Holly match for Thunderstruck with the winner being allowed to stay on the HVW roster. He employs Butterbean as the special guest ring enforcer, commenting that he’s obviously had plenty of practice enforcing rings tonight already.

JR and Cole find the pun unbelievably funny and Hart really doesn’t leave much to the imagination. They take the viewers at home to a recap of last week, showing Orton and Muraco clearly having issues with each other. They make their way to the ring for their match against an opponent they haven’t yet been informed of.

Match Three: Cowboy Bob Orton & Magnificent Don Muraco v The Ultimate Warrior.

    5e8fc436994b073dcca201115e9738e6.jpg

The crowd goes wild as Warrior’s music hits. He seems in perfect condition despite the beatdown he received last week at the hands of Brock Lesnar. Orton and Muraco try to work out some sort of game plan but there’s very little that can be done to keep Warior down in this vein of form. He just won’t stay down, double suplexes, sleeper holds, nothing is working. Warrior manages to get Muraco out of the ring before Powerslamming Orton and hitting the Body Splash for the win.

    Winner: The Ultimate Warrior

Warrior goes for the microphone and gets back into the ring with Orton and Muraco who look ready to tear the head off each other. Warrior tells them something about how a bee on its’ own can’t get much honey and that it’s all about pleasing the queen, that they must stay strong and fight for their own good. While no one seems to have a clue about what they’re saying, it seems to be compelling enough for Orton and Muraco to shake hands and put their problems to one side. “Warrior an arbitrator, who’da thunk it?” asks JR rhetorically.

    *commercial*

    Jimmy-Hart.jpg

When we get back from the break our GM Jimmy Hart is back in the ring. He tells the crowd thanks for their participation and informs them that the match on Sunday will indeed be a… Barbed Wire Ring match! The turnbuckles will be replaced by barbed wire and blood will most certainly be shed. Brock Lesnar’s music hits. He stresses his anger at not being listened to and charges for the ring. He’s right up against Jimmy Hart again. Hart smashes Lesnar over the head with his megaphone but it has little effect. Lesnar gets him in position for the F-5 but puts him down as Terry Funk’s music plays. Funk asks Lesnar if he’s afraid of a little bloodshed. Lesnar tells him to come down here and find out. Hart, out of breath grabs the microphone and says that there’s no need for a referee because he wants the pleasure of this one himself.

Match Four: Brock Lesnar v Terry Funk

Neither man has Sunday in mind as they both give it all in an enthralling encounter. Lesnar’s keeping one eye on Hart all the time and at separate intervals complains to him about the speed of his counts. Funk on the other hand is hell bent on playing dirty against the stronger Lesnar. He uses the steel pole, steps and ropes to his advantage and barely breaking illegal holds by the count of five. None of it can keep Lesnar down though and his trademark UFC takedowns are lethal. He’s cocky as ever as well and has an unbelievable amount of heat from the crowd. They cheer though as Funk reverses and F-5 and plants a DDT to very nearly lead to a huge victory. Funk pulls Lesnar outside the ring and begins to tear the top off the announce table, signifying something big. Beautifully, he glides through the air to plant him with an elbow drop right through. Hart allows the match to continue but Lesnar manages to get up before being counted out. Incredibly defiant, he counters a Funker and plants an F-5 to keep Funk down as Hart reluctantly counts to three.

    Winner: Brock Lesnar

Lesnar tells Hart to raise his hand, he does so but Lesnar firmly plants him with an F-5 as the show ends.

Can Lesnar be stopped? Tune in to Thunderstruck, live on PPV to find out.

The show starts off with a re-cap of last weeks show followed by the intro sequence. We go live to The 02 in London where a series of pyro's go off.

Our main event tonight will be Yoshi Tatsu vs. a mystery opponent where the winner will get the final spot in the Semi-Finals of the D.W.O Heavyweight Championship chase.

Lethal and Creed come out to cut a promo on how under-rated they are going into "Annihilation". They aim to prove everyone wrong and win the D.W.O Tag titles. A guitar wails and out come "the Hart Dynasty". An impromptu match is made. The Hart Dynasty control the majority of the match but, yet again, Lethal and Creed come out with the win.

Lethal claims that they've now proven themselves to be note-worthy tag title contenders as they've beaten Beer Money and, now, The Hart Dynasty. As The Hart's leave and Lethal and Creed are celebrating the victory, Beer Money come out. They sneak behind Lethal and Creed, who are both over at different corner's of the ring and smash beer bottle's at their heads. Beer Money hit the DWI on Lethal while Hall hits "the Razor's Edge" on Creed. Hall cuts a promo as only he can, all while rubbing his mouth with a $100 bill and drinking a bottle of Bud.

Tag match for "Annihilation" made official. A 3 team brawl between Beer Money, Lethal Consequences and The Hart Dynasty.

Backstage, Velvet Sky attacks Angelina Love. Segment ends when Trish runs in after Sky put Love's head into the "designer" paper bag

Ziggler comes out and cut's a promo about how a ladder symbolizes his career. Over the past few years, I've had my up's and my downs but now, I'm just 1 step off the top and then, I'll reach the top and become the D.W.O Heavyweight Champion. Eddie comes out and starts talking about what a joke Ziggler is. Ziggler tells Eddie to have their Semi-Final match there. Eddie walks to the ring and, just before the bell rings, he leaves. Crowd instantly boo.

Next is a match between Evan Bourne and..... Kevin Thorn?!?! Bourne looks bemused as Thorn makes his way out, drinking what appears to be blood. Thorn spits the blood in Bourne's face and hit's "The Crucifix" for the win.

    TV Build Up to NWA:Starrcade

Match 6: No Holds Barred Fistfight: Cactus Jack vs Floyd "Money" Mayweather

    cactusjack_posed.jpg VS Floyd.jpg

    Week 1:
Floyd Mayweather is in attendance at an NWA show sitting in the front row with his entourage of ridiculously clad leeches. During the Main Event of teh show, where Mick Foley is battling Dusty Rhodes for the Number 1 Contendership to World Title, he is interviewed for NWA TV.
Mayweather is cocky and arrogant as ever. He seems unimpressed at the efforts of the wrestlers he has seen thus far.

“To be honest, these wrestlers are a joke, pretending to beat on one another like fools. Look at those two guys in the ring Dick Foley and Musty Rhodes or whatever they’re called. They call themselves athletes? There’s more cellulite and blubber on show in that ring than Manny Pacquiao’s Momma’s ass!”

    Week 2:
Mick Foley is irate at Mayweathers’ comments the previous week. He cuts a typically passionate promo in the middle of the ring. He is grieviously upset that Mayweather woud question his toughness.

“Mayweather , how dare you question my guts. I’ve had my ear torn off in a wrestling ring. I’ve been thrown off balconies, through tables, I’ve been sliced from head to foot with barbed wire, I’ve fallen 30 feet off a steel cage, I’ve been to hell and back. And I didn’t put myself through that hell to have a jumped up little Fresh Prince wannabe come into my company and call me a wannabe fighter. You think you’re a tough guy, Floyd? Well how about you fight Mrs Foleys little boy at Starrcade?”

    Week 3;
Floyd Mayweather appears on NWA TV to answer Foley’s challenge. They confront each other face to face in the ring. At first Mayweather appears reluctant to agree to a fight with Foley. But Foley goads him into doing so, saying he’ll never live it down if he ducks away from a “pretend fighter.” Finally Mayweather agres to the fight. However there isn a sting in the tail for Foley.

The Millionaire’s Club make their way to ringside and attack Foley. Ted DiBiase takes the mic:

“Foley, let me introduce the newest member of the Millionaire’s Club, Mr. Mayweather. He ticks all the boxes for the calibre of man we welcome into our exclusive club: talent, charisma, a supreme athlete, but most of all bucketloads of money! By the time we’re finished with you you’re not even gonna make it to Starrcade. And a great leader always looks one step ahead and I’m all on for eliminating the competition for my World Title! Finish him boys!”

The Millionaire’s Club destroy Foley in the ring, handing him the beating of his life.

    Week 4:
Foley cuts a promo in a darkened room backstage. His covered in cuts and bruises after the beating he suffered last week

“I hereby announce the official retirement of Mick Foley. I’ve taken a lot over the years but I cannot take it any longer. I’ve met my match. The fight has been beaten out of Mick Foley. For years physical pain has been my friend and companion. I thrived on it, it kept me hungry, it kept me angry. It kept me getting into that ring night after night. But this morning the pain was too bad. This moring Mick Foley didn’t want to get out of bed.

Floyd Mayweather and The Millionaire’s Club, congratulations. You have ended the career of Mick Foley, you have done what no one else has ever done before and beaten the fight out of Mick Foley. But Mayweather, what you don’t realise is that by putting an end to Mick Foley, your problems have only begun. Because while Mick Foley might done with wrestling, there’s another man who’s always ready for a fight. A man that will take everything you can throw at him and return it with a smile on his face. A man that frightens me as much as he should frighten you and your millionaire buddies.

At Starrcade, Sunday night, Mayweather you better tape those puny little fists up good and tight , because on Sunday night, the nastiest, toughest, craziest sonofabitch in the NWA is coming to town.

On Sunday night CACTUS JACK is comin’ for a good old fashioned fistfight!!!"

    Welcome to BWA Raw

The Show opens with a rematch from last week to determine whoreally are the no.1 contenders for the tag team titles. The tag champs David & kevin Von Erich Join the commentatoers for this one.

"Pretty Wonderfull" Orndorff & Roma vs King Kong Bundy & Big John Studd

Hercules Hernandez comes to ringside with Pretty Wonderfull and is in their corner as the match begins. A promising start for Orndorff & Roma is curtailed as King Kong Bundy is tagged in and hits a number of big body slams on Paul Roma. He then signals for his Giant elbow drop but Hercules jumps the ringropes to defend his normal tag partner and hits Bundy with a big backbreaker. The Referee calls for the bell as all four men begin to brawl in the ring.

    Double DQ finish
    Img32.jpg

GM Stallone comes out mic in hand and interrupts the in ring meele by making a big announcement, he says that just like at the original BWE: Awakening PPV BWE:Re-Awakening will see two titles defended in elimination matches. first all the women of the BWA will one by one be eliminated to crown a undisputed Womens champion, then (the real bombshell) there will be a 3 way elimination match for the tag team titles where The Von Erichs will face off against both "Pretty wonderfull" Orndorff & Roma and the team of King kong Bundy & Big John Studd. Stallone then leaves the ring as all the in ring competitors seem surprisingly happy at the outcome but the Von Erichs are irate on commentary, now they will essentially have to win two matches to defend the gold at the PPV.

*Promo for BWA:Re-Awakening is aired with the full announced card for the PPV*

Tag title elimination match: Bundy/Studd vs Pretty Wonderfull vs the Von Erichs
IC Title Match: Kenta Kobashi vs Nigel McGuinness (c)
Womens title elimination match: Awesome vs Aja kong vs MsChif vs Cheerleader Mellisa vs lacey Von Erich
Kerry Von Erich vs Mitsuharu Misawa
    Rowdy roddy Piper vs Rikidozan
Heavyweight title match: Hulk Hogan (c) vs the Big Show

Before the next match nigel McGuinness comes down to the ring with a microphone in his hand. He says that We have seen Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawa these past few weeks put on exhibition matches against complete nobodies and think that they have impressed everyone with their actions but they havent. Tonight he is going to put on an exhibition match of his very own and show Kenta exactley what he can expect this Sunday but he wont do it against a complete nobody, he will face whichever BWA superstar backstage has the balls to come out and accept my open challenge, he also quips that it would be nice if Misawa or Rikidozan accepted his challenge but apparently they are only facing local nobodies until the PPV. just Joe's music hits and the challenge has been answered.

    Nigel McGuinness vs Just Joe

McGuinness is completely on top of this match and it does seem similar to the recent japanese wrestler's exhibition matches with him delivering a string of big moves on Just Joe including a Flowing snap DDT, an STO and a big headbutt which knocks Joe onto the ropes. He then hits his Tower of london rope hung cutter on Joe and looks set to get the 3 count when he notices Kenta Kobashi and Toyonobori making their way down to rinside. Both men go right up to the ringsteps on either side of the entrance ramp and get up on the ring apron. Inside the ring McGuinness is gesturing and shouting at the two to get into the ring and face him when suddenly Just Joe grabs him from behind in a roll up for the 3 count.

    Winner: Just Joe
    legend.jpg

Kobashi and Toyonobori laugh as they make their way to the back whilst Joe celebrates like he has just won a world title in the ring.

    ---Backstage segment---

Awesome Kong is interviewed by Todd Grisham and asked about Alyundra blaze;s recent comments and her upcoming title match at Re-Awakening. Kong seems surprised at the mention of Blaze's name as she says that after her brief stint in the BWA she thought blaze gave up on continuing in Pro Wrestling and become a moster truck driver or something. She states she has no idea what belt Alyndra is carrying around seing as she defeated her for the BWA womens title before she left the BWA due to that embarrasing incident (she does not elude to what this is). However speaking of womens titles she says that she now knows what type of match she will win the new undisputed womens title in this sunday and that Blaze and all other wannabe womens wrestlers should tune in to see it.

Cheerleader Melissa w/MsChif vs Aja Kong

Just like last week when Awesome Kong took on MsChif w/Melissa this match see's Kong face an disadvantage with no backup to counter MsChif's distractions and interferance at ringside. Eventually it gets too much for Aja and whilst she her attension is on MsChif she is the victim of the cheerleaders big missile dropkick after which she locks in a Kondo clutch. Aja almost gets to the ropes but when Mschif pulls them away from Kong, the big lady taps out.

    Winner: Cheerleader Mellisa

    ----Backstage segment---

Hulk Hogan is interviewed by Todd Grisham about the Big Show's threat to kill Hulkamania this sunday. He says that there are thousand of Hulkamaniacs here in attendance tonight to see the Hulkster in the main event and they all know that that is baloney brother and that... just then The Big Show comes charging into the room attacking Hogan and delivering a serious beatdown.

*a Promo recaps all the recent media hype surrounding the BWA and the new monday night wars with WECWF and MNG including Eric Bischoff's appearance on BWA Raw last week*

    Piper's Pit
    0.jpg

Roddy Piper after once more begining his show with a rant aimed at Rikidozan before introducing his guests Kerry, Kevin & david Von Erich. After briefly talking about the great Von Erich family and how David & Kevin are his pisck to retain the tag titles this sunday Piper talks to Kerry about their matches tonight and this sunday when he just like Piper will take on one of the new Japanese wrestlers to have come to the BWA. However he says that Kerry will not be the only member of his family to do so this sunday as he introduces the newest addition to the BWA roster someone who he says there had been rumous about signing for a young Irish wrestling promotion known as the DWO but no here she is .... Lacey Von Erich

The Von Erich are all united in the ring and are clearly elated at the news but Kerry speaks about his concern that Lacey is not ready for the BWA womens title elimination match this sunday against superstars such as Awesome Kong, he then asks David and Kevin to take her into the back and start her training right now and that he will be back after his match.

Kerry Von Erich & Roddy Piper vs The Big Show & Muhammad Hussan

A top match between these 4 big name superstars is once again marred as two of the new Japanese wrestlers to join the BWA roster Toyonobori and Mitsuharu Misawa make their way down to ringside. After Piper tags himself out Big Show grabs him and before he can leave the ring tosses him to the outside, Misawa and Toyuobori begin attacking him. This leaves Kerry Von Erich completely isolated in the ring as Big Show and Hussan begin to double team him. Eventually Show hits a big chokeslam on Von Erich before tagging in Hussan who gets him to tap out by applying a camel clutch to his near limp opponent.

Winner: The Big Show & Muhammad Hussan

    hassan.

post match Hussan promo where he runs down BWA GM Stallone putting himself in the ring with Hussan and says that although he is pleased to be in the card the BWA have still been discriminating against him and he deseves to be in a main event spot just like his partner tonight the big show.

Rikidozan and Aja Kong are in their dressing room talking in Japanese when Sylvester Stallone enters the room. He isn't happy. He says he is sick of the constant interference in matches and that although he knows that Rikidozan, Misawa & Kobashi aren't going to have a competitive match until BWE:Re-Awakening nobody ever said anything about Toyonobori. He then says that Rikidozan should tell his silent friend that he has a match and its next, he also states that all the other members of this new japanese faction are banned from ringside!

    Hulk Hogan vs Toyonobori

Hulk Hogan is still selling his injuries from The Big Shows attack earlier on as Toyonbori gets some early offense in including a power slam and a full nelson but it isn't long until with his Hulkamaniacs behind him Hogan gets a footing in this match. After multiple punches with the usual hogan theatrics the immortal hulkster hits a big vertical suplex which he folllows up with a big boot and his signature running leg drop finish. Hulkamania is alive and well tonight.

    Winner: Hulk Hogan

We are coming to you live from the 2nd home of the BWA, Madison square Garden after recently completing our tour of Japan and Taiwan.

Pre-show BWA.com exclusive match: Hercules Hernandez vs Just Joe

    Winner: Hercules

    BWA Promo

Tag team title elimination match: The Von erichs (c) vs Pretty Wonderfull vs King Kong Bundy & Big John Studd

Hercules Hernandez has stayed at ringside for this match as his usual tag partner Paul Roma hopes to win the tag belts with someone else ("Mr Wonderfull" Paul Orndorff) in it. It is infact his interferance that leads to an early elimination as the ref continues to scrutinise Roma/Orndorff causing "Mr Wonderfull" to turn on Hercules on the outside. This brawl distracts roma who is in the ring and King Kong Bundy hits a big Atlantic City Avalanche following a running shoulder block for a 3 count.

now its just a two team match as David Von erich quickly enters the ring and takes the big man down with numerous running kicks to the legs. Bundy is able to fight his way to his corner though and tags in Big John Studd who hits a number of big clothes lines on Von Erich. David is allowed back to his feet by the big man but only so he can hit another big running clothesline, however this time Von Erich ducks it and locks in a sleeper hold. Just as it looks like Studd is fading he gets one big burst of energy and breaks the hold. Then using his monetum he slingshots himself against the ropes and attacks his opponent with another clothesline this time a diving one. David Von Erich see's this coming though and once more avoids the move which ends up knocking Studd's tag partner onto the ring matt. Studd then stumbles backwards after clashing heads with Bundy and directly into the Iron Claw which seals a succesful title defense for the Von Erich's.

    Winner: The Von Erichs

    ----Backstage segment----

Piper's Pit Is set up backstage and The Hotrod introduces his guest this evening the BWA GM Sylvester Stallone. The two talk about how it is an exciting time for the BWA, how they have had a number of high profile wrestlers join the BWA in recent times and are still beating both WECWF and MNG in the ratings. And now at the shows biggest PPV in years BWA:Re-Awakening both men have massive matches. After once again going off on a brief rant about how he is going to teach Rikidozan and his group a lesson before asking Stallone how he feels about steping into a BWA ring tonight against Muhammad Hussan. Stallone says that he knows this isnt a movie but just like in one of his movies he is going to kick the bad guys ass, He is the GM of the BWA and tonight he says he is going to silence his biggest critic with his fists, he then heads to the ring.

    10101958asylvester-stallone-rocky-posters.jpgmohammedhassanWWE_01.jpg
Sylvester "Rocky" Stallone vs Muhammad Hassan

Hassan starts strong here really showcasing who the real experienced in ring competitor is. Stallone is clearly struggling as Hassan looks for an early win when he locks in a camel clutch on the BWA GM. He's visably in a lot of pain but the hold is broken as he makes it to the ropes. Stallone rolls outside to catch his breath for a moment but Hassan stays on him attacking him on the outside to a corus of boos from the crowd. Hassan pulls a monitor out of one of the spanish announce tables and rams it into Stallones head. Hassan then starts berating the crowd and lording it over Stallone who looks completley out of it. Hassan gets back into the ring and encourages the Ref to count his opponent out. as the ref reaches 4 the crowd begin to chant "Rocky Rocky Rocky..." and Stallone slowley gets to his feet and into the ring just as the ref calls 9. Hassan rushes him trying to keep his momentum but is caught as the former Rambo star drops his sshoulder and catches in a half spear half spinebuster. Hassan quickly gets back to his ffet however and the two go toe to toe with big right hands a la a scene from Rocky. both take unbelievable blows to the face while still keeping their footing but the dual is eventually ended when Stallone ducks a big straight right and delivers a huge uppercut of his own and indoing so sends Hassan airbourne. 1-2-3 and once more we have the commentators likening the GM to one of his onscreen alter ego's Judge Dredd due to his laying down the law here tonight

    Winner: Sylvester Stallone

    ----Backstage segment----

Todd Grisham interviews Rikidozan who is accompanied by AJa Kong who acts as his translator and Toyonbori. In Japanese Rikidozan says that tonight him and his associates will win 2 titles and four matches including when he stops Roddy Piper running his mouth and they will prove that as they have stated they are the best in this business and should be recognised as such. Then when questioned what his hopes for the group are after he simply says he will be BWA champion. Aja then interrupts the interview and says the have a match to watch.

    220px-Nigel....jpg200px-Kenta-Kobashi.jpg
Intercontinental title match: Nigel McGuinness (c) vs Kenta Kobashi

This is an epic encounter that is given the time it truely deseves tonight. McGuinness gets the early advantage after locking in multiple hammerlock variations on Kobashi the first of which he turns into a quick DDT whilst the second a Northern lights suplex. Kenta fights back though and hits a tiger suplex of his own on the Englishman. Later Kobashi seems to take full control after hitting a powerbomb on nigel into the turnbuckle. McGuinness struggles out of the corner and looks set to be the victim of Kobashi's Burning Lariat but he surprises everyone with a his Artful Dodger Roll-up to avoid the attack which he then turns into his London Dungeon submission. Kobashi comes close to tapping but eventually forces Kenta to break the hold. McGuinness doesn't let up though and applies an armbar on Kobashi but he once more powers out of this and hits McGuinness with a kick to the gutt which he follows up with a double underhook DDT. McGuinness kicks out after 2 and gets back to his feet as the two exchange huge chops. Kobashi throws Nigel into the ropes and deespite the Brit trying to hit a big shoulder on he return Kobashi is able to avoid it and catch McGuinness for a death valley driver. Not satisfied with that the man making his competitive BWA debut makes his way to the top ropes and hits a Moonsault for the win.

    Winner: Kenta Kobashi

    ----Backstage Segment----

Roddy Piper is seen entering the Von Erich's dressing room where he first congratulates David & Kevin Von Erich on their tag team retention tonight the speaks to Kerry Von Erich about his upcoming match with Mitsuharu Misawa tonight. The camera leaves the backstage area after the crowd pops big for Lacey Von Erich who emerges from the private shower they have wearing only a towel searching for her ring gear and screaming that her match is next.

Aja vs Awesome Kong vs Ms Chif vs Cheerleader Mellisa vs Lacey Von erich

After a brief period where all 5 competitiors are in the ring Awesome Kong clears the ring while making a beline for her former double Kong tag partner Aja. Mschif seems content to allow the two big women go at it while see bides her time at ringside. Cheerleader Mellisa isn't as smart though and gets right in the mix only to recieve an Implant Buster facebuster from Amazing Kong. Then to everyones surprise Lacey Von Erich performs an impressive moonsault which transitions into an elbow drop to elimante Melissa. the cheerleader stares a hole into Lacey before heading to the back.

Unfortunatley now Lacey is in the thick of it and is seemingly passed around by both the Kongs as they try to out do each other with big power moves. Aja eventually gets the pinfall and eliminates Von Erich after Amazing hits a gorilla press slam and the japanese wrestler follows it up with a northern lights suplex pin.

Then Mschif gets involved and it becomes a three way brawl. Eventually when MsChif and Amazing Kong have momentarily begun to work together Aja is hit by a Russian legsweep by Mschif and then an Amazing press (Big Splash). Amazing Kongs big splash takes a lot out of both women though and leaves MSChif with the chance to take advantage. Instead of pinning Aja though Chif takes this opportunity to hit a standing moonsault on the downed Awesome kong who she then surprises all by eliminating with a 3 count. We are then lef with just the Shimmer champion MsChif and Aja representing the new Japanese faction in the BWA.

MsChif fails as she tries for a quick pin after also eliminating Amesome Kong as Aja kicks put after two and then fights her way to her feet. After the two trade moves for another few minutes including MsChif hitting her Desecreter scissored DDT, the shimmer champ locks in a dragon sleeper and seems to be about to become the unified champion but Aja powers out and then after a punch to the her opponents midsection Kong delivers a Piledriver to grab control which she then capitalises on by hitting MsChif with a Powerbomb for the win and thus becomes the undisputed womens champion.

    Winner: Aja Kong

The commentaters recap the last match and then once more talk up tonights main events whilst the wrestlers exit the ring and make their way to the back.

    ----Backstage segment---

Aja Kong is greeted as she returns to the back by Kenta Kobashi the two new champions briefly celebrate together talking in japanese until Aja makes a solitary statement in english "2 down, 2 to go".

    texastornado1.jpgmisawa.jpg
Kerry Von Erich vs Mitsuharu Misawa

A back and forth encounter where Kerry has a lot of early momentum hitting a number of big tornado punches on Misawa and forcing him into the corner. He climbs the turnbuckle and delivers 10 big right hands to Misawa which the crowd count out but as he goes for no.10 Misawa reverses the situation and hits an innovated Tiger Driver from the second rope. Von Erich rolls out of the ring in pain and trys to recouperate by the announce table but Misawa performs a Suicide dive which transitions into an elbow smash through the ropes catching him. The move took a toll out of Misawa too and both men struggle to get to their feet and back into the ring but first Kerry does and then Misawa with the help of Toyonbori who has come down to ringside return to the ring. Von Erich is waiting for Misawa as he returns to the ring and trys to lock in the Iron Claw but Misawa gives him a kick to the gut which he follows up with a firemans carry. Instead of going for the pin there and then Misawa wants to make sure of an impressive victory in his first competitive BWA match and instead delivers Emerald Flowsion to Von Erich and gets the 3 count.

    Winner: Mitsuharu Misawa

Mitsuharu and Toyonbori celebrate as the commentators speculate if we will see a clean sweep from this new faction here tonight

    ----Backstage segment

The Big Show Is in his dressing room warming up for tonight when Just Joe comes into the room. Joes says "The guys in the back are talking and Show I just thought youd like to know that Hulk Hogan has just arrived". This little simple remark sends Show over the edge and he starts shouting about why would he care that Hulk Hogan is here, that he does not fear The Hulkster and then re-iterates his vow that tonight he is going to kill Hulkamania, he then grabs joe and slams him into the wall making a big visable mark in it.

    roddy_piper1.jpgrikidozan2.jpg
    Rowdy Roddy Piper vs Rikidozan

Rikidozan accompanied by Toyonbori take their time making their way to the ring during an elaborate entrance while Piper waits in the ring, but not patiently after a while he begins shouting at Rikidozan to get in the ring. When he final does and the bell rings Piper charges straight at Japanese Icon, but Rikidozan uses his sumo skills and Piper's own momentum to toss Piper into the turnbuckle where he begins to deliver a number of clubbing blows. Piper pokes Rikidozan in his eyes however and fights his way out of the corner with a number of jabs, then just as Rikidozan is teetering he hits him with a runnig knee strike knocking the big man to the floor. Piper locks in a figure four leg lock and it looks like he may get the win as his opponent is nowhere near the ropes. Rikidozan endures teerible pain as the referee warns Toyonbori if he interferes he will DQ his leader but after a few minutes locked in the figure four he eventually gets to the ropes and the hold is broken. The referee has his back to Rikidozan as he holds Piper back to allow the japanes wrestler get back to his feet, but as he does so he removes one of the turnbuckle pads and exposes the metal ring beneth. Then when he finally gets to his feet and the referee allows Piper to go for Rikidozan a quick foot trip see's Piper nearly knocked unconcious. The hotrod stumbles backwards after the colision straight into position for a Rikidozan Piledriver for the 3 count.

    Winner: Rikidozan

Rikidozan and his faction have backed up everything that Rikidozan said at the top of the show, they aree going to be a real force to be reckoned with here in the BWA

    Backstage Segment---

Hulk Hogan is asked how he feels after viewing Rkidozan defeat Roddy Piper since the Japanese icon had said he was coming for the title next. Huk Hogan simply says that be it This new faction, the WECWF, MNG or The Big Show that he is facing one thing will always ring through and that is something he says he is going to prove to The Big Show next and that is that the strongest force in pro wrestling is Hulkamania and that it is going to keep running wild for many many more years.

Hulk Hogan vs The Big Show

After a fairly even opening big show starts to become dominant as Hogan struggles to be able to lift him for any of his big moves. Hogan does get a brief bit of offense in when he hits a number of big clotheslines and then in what is a huge moment for him he succesfully bodyslams Show. However that takes a lot out of the Hulkster and Show gets the advantage back with a big headbutt and a sidewalk slam, he then locks hogan in a giant sized bearhug. Hogan is fading and the Ref lifts his hand and drops it to check he is still concious. just when it looks like he is out for the count and his hand will drop for a 3rd time some life returns to Higan as all the hulkamaniacs in the arena chant his name, hogan fights his way to his feet as he begins hulking up and breaks the bearhug with a number of elbow strikes to show. he then delivers a number of big right hands leaving Show teetring before running against the ropes slingshotting hmself and going for the big boot. However Show catches him and hits a big chokeslam in the center of the ring. Show is not fnished though, wait what is he doing, Show seems to be going to the top rope, are we going to see the mythical Big Show Moonsault? yes, yes we are, Show climbs to the top rope and hits a hugely impressive Moonsault but unfortunatley for Show Hogan gets out of the way just in time. the fall has left Show in huge pain in the center of the ring which the commentaters state they are surprised is still standing. Having regained his composure Hogan delivers a big boot to the incompasitated Show and picks up the victory.

    Winner: hulk Hogan

Dusty Rhodes and Ted DiBiase: A Brief History.

A feud based in irreconcilable differences. A deep rooted hatred based around one powerful man’s desire to hold another man down. One man’s struggle to fulfill his impossible dream.

This is the story of “An American Dream.”

First a little background to the feud. Dusty Rhodes is undoubtedly the top babyface in the NWA. He is a man of the people, a champion of the underdog and his amazing charisma means he is over more than any other wrestler in the NWA’s long and storied history. In direct contrast is his sworn enemy The Million Dollar Man. The men are polar opposites. Where DiBiase is arrogant, Rhodes is humble, where DiBiase has taken short cut after short cut and bought his way to the World Title, Rhodes has been fighting and beating the odds since the first day he wrestled, where DiBiase surrounds himself with his lackeys in the Millionaire’s Club, Rhodes fights his own battles, where DiBiase treats the fans of the NWA with contempt, Rhodes is truly one of their own.

    dusty1.jpg

DiBiase has been ducking and diving to avoid Rhodes for two long years now. Time and time again he has avoided facing him in the ring, mush to Dusty’s deep frustration. DiBiase’s “friendship” and business relationship with the evil NWA general manager Larry Zybyszko means that time and time again, obstacles have been placed in front of Dusty in his quest to fulfil his dream of becoming NWA World Champion. There is no low to which DiBiase will not stoop to avoid Dusty and make his life a misery. He has showered Zybyszko with expensive gifts, money and whores and suspicions abound that he has even bribed NWA referees in the past.

    milliondollarman.jpg

Will Dusty ever beat the numbers game? Will the People’s Champion ever gain the NWA Title to go with his place in the hearts of the NWA’s fans? How can he ever overcome the odds that DiBiase’s millions have stacked against him?
For as far back as he can remember Dusty Rhodes has had a dream, an “American Dream.” Will that dream be fulfilled at NWA: Starrcade?

The Official theme song for Starrcade and theme of the PPV is "An American Dream" by Hank Williams Jr. in honour of Durty's quest for the gold. Hank will be in attendance to play the theme tune for Dusty on the night of the show!

    LizLinear Wrestling Entertainment Presents

    Friday Night Fights

    friday_night_fights.jpg

The show opens with GM, JBL coming to the ring to a large chorus of boos.

    John+Bradshaw+Layfield-wwe.jpg

He gets on the mic and goes on that last week he should have left there as the champion but that Sid and his she-he friend Sherri destroyed that.

A video recap of the last week's show ending is shown.

He also says that to make matters worse Mr. Donald Trump has also come to see how his winning apprentice was doing as GM and to congratulate him on doing such a fine job. He says as LWE is doing so well with him as GM he is thinking of changing its name to Layfield Wrestling Entertainment. He feels it has a better ring to it and men are the better leaders.
He says Sid and Sherri will pay high for what they did. He says Stephanie isnt there tonight over her horrific injuries she suffered from Sherri. He says tonight Sherri will defend her women's title in a match against Beth Phoenix. He also says that tonight the tag titles are on the line against the IC Champion Christopher Daniels and his mystery partner.

    Out comes Donald Trump

    15_donald_trump.jpg

He gets in the ring and shake hands with JBL.

He says he thinks JBL is doing a good job but he could do a lot better. He says he is thinking of making an offer on LWE but first be would like to try out the GM's chair for a bit which JBL refuses. Donald makes JBL an offer he can get anyone from his locker room to fight an opponent that Trump's chooses tonight and the winner is the GM until after the next PPV which is Frenzied Fury. Trump asks JBL maybe if he is chicken as his locker room wont follow him. JBL agrees to the match tonight.

Up next is Generation Me V The Mexicools
Nick won the match for his team with 450° splash on Psicosis

JBL is backstage with Daniels who asks JBL if he is wrestling tonight for him but JBL tells him not to worry he will find someone. Tony Altas approaches and again asks JBL about him and Rocky J getting a tag title shot. JBL just looks at Daniels and laughs both walk off.
Tony tells Rocky J that JBL wont give them a title shot and sees them as a joke. Rocky J tells Tony he a plan and not to worry.

Up next is Beth Phoenix V Sherri Martel for the Women's Title.
Beth is out first and next out is Sherri with the title. JBL comes out and informs Sherri that if Sid comes out for any of the match she will lose her title. Sherri and Beth start the match. Beth has knocked the ref out by mistake. Beth goes from the Glam Slam but Sherri reverses and rolls Beth up for the pin but the ref is still down. A hooded person enters the ring with a chair and knocks out Sherri. Beth covers Sherri for the win. Beth is the new women's champion. The hooded person removes their jacket and its no other than Stephanie McMahon who gets on the mic and tells Sherri that its time to play the game. Beth and Stephanie are beating on Sherri. Stephanie gets the chair while Beth holds up Sherri. Out comes Marty Jannety who makes the save. Beth and Stephanie leave the ring.

JBL is in his office when Daniels comes in and tells what happened with Sherri and Beth. JBL is fuming about Jannetty making the save. He tells Daniels to get the tag titles tonight.

Up next is tag champions Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black V Christopher Daniels and a mystery partner for the tag titles.
Out first is tag champs Jimmy and Tyler who seemed to have put last week's disagreement behind them. Out next is IC champion Daniels, he gets the ring and gets on the mic. He says i'd like to introduce my tag partner Tyler Black. Jimmy looks around confused and Tyler walks over to Daniels's corner. Jimmy goes after him and asks him why Daniels takes out Jimmy and covers him for the win. New tag champs Daniels and Black.

After Vince McMahon's shocking debut last week what's in store for the final show before Wrestlemania? Will Leslie Nielsen finally solve the case on who shot William Regal? And will anything be said about the challenges laid down by rival companies?

Before the show begins we see a clip of Jack Brisco asking Mr. McMahon to book a match at Wrestlemania involving Brisco and Chono to settle the rivalry that has been brewing the last few weeks. McMahon agrees and it is now on for the PPV. The show's theme plays:

Fireworks and pyro go off as we are live from Detroit, Michigan! The show opens with WWE Champion John Cena making his way to the ring.

    newcena.jpg

Cena says he knows a lot of people expect him to lose his WWE title at Wrestlemania - especially since he was pinned by Masahiro Chono last week - but Cena said never count him out. He said he would like a chance at Chono again tonight one last time and that at Mania he would become Undisputed Champion by taking Thesz's NWA belt and also ending Samoa Joe's undefeated streak. At this point Joe came out -

    SamoaJoe.jpg

He got in the ring saying winning at Wrestlemania was his destiny. He gave a passionate promo acknowledging of the two former friends Cena had achieved more, but that this would change Sunday. He said Cena was the star of the present and Thesz was a star of the past but he was the star of the future. He promised his streak would remain intact and that Thesz and Cena would lose what's important to them. Then Lou Thesz's patriotic music hit -

    thesz.gif

Thesz also got in the ring and said he appreciated Cena was someone who fought for respect, and that Joe fought for glory, but that he himself fought for honour. He said both men may well be stars of the present and future respectively but never count out a wily veteran like himself. Thesz then said perhaps they should stop talking about what they'll do Sunday and intead get it on right here right now! The crowd popped as the three men looked ready to go. At this, Vince's music hit who came out with his trademark strut -

    30.jpg

Vince said he couldn't risk giving away his main event early, especially in a town like Detroit as the crowd booed. He said tonight he had to protect his investments at Wrestlemania and so EVERYONE involved in matches at Mania could not physically touch their opponents or their matches would be scrapped and they would be FIIIIIRRRRREEEEDDD. The crowd booed again.

Vince said there have been challenges made towards him from other companies. Vince said no one has bigger grapefruits than him and he would gladly face them after Wrestlemania if they had the testicular fortitude. He said the BWA stood for the Brokendown Wrestlers Assocation. He commended them on a good PPV with his creation Hulkamania. As for Bischoff he and the WECWF and their roster of liquored up deviants would be taken down in future months as would that no good son-in-law of his if he kept running his mouth. But right now it was time to concentrate on his baby - Wrestlemania.

Vince said tonight, the last show before the PPV, Cena and Joe, the old pals act, would team up for old time's sake against Masahiro Chono and his Wrestlemania opponent Jack Brisco. Vince warned the partners they better play nice and not physcially attack one another and to ensure this he would appoint the legend himself Lou Thesz as Special Referee. He laughed as Thesz shook his head in disgust and we went to a commercial break.

    (commercial)

Match # 1 Juventud Guerrera vs El Hijo del Santo (non title)

As the men wrestled we saw an old-school style clip of Cruiserweight Champ Juvi cutting a promo from earlier saying he was happy to be at the company and talking about the importance of the mask to El Hijo del Santo. He said he hoped his fellow countryman would win against Tiger Mask in the mask vs mask match at Mania.

The match itself was a very enjoyable 15 minute bout which saw El Hijo del Santo dodge Juvi's 450 splash attempt and roll him up for the 1-2-3. Afterwards the men shook hands as we saw Tiger Mask watching on intently on a monitor in the back.

    Winner: El Hijo del Santo

    02.jpg

Backstage: As Juvi walked along the corridor he ran into Vince. Juvi wanted to know if it was true Vince was trying to offload him to other shows? Vince said he remembered what a train wreck Juvi was and someone like him belonged on a show like WECWF with all of their addicts. Vince said he had a good mind to fire him but instead he would put him in a match at Mania for that pretty belt of his against fellow luchador Negro Casas. Vince walked away laughing and ran into John Cena. Vince said speaking of pretty belts John was wearing his company's belt, the WWE Title - but not for much longer it looks like. Vince said Cena has no chance in heeelllll of beating Thesz and Joe at Mania and walked off.

Elsewhere we saw chief investigator Leslie Nielsen arriving.

    airplane.jpg

He encountered Victoria, Mayumi Ozaki, Molly and Akira Hokuto who were arguing with each other as refs tried to stop them fighting and potentially losing their Wrestlemania bout. Nielsen said he wanted to question them about Regal being shot.
Nielsen: Girls I need to know if any of you know anything or were involved in Mr Regal unfortunately getting shot in the tush.
Akira & Ozaki: (say something in Japanese)
(A Nielsen voice-over: These women were speaking my kind of language - the kind where I have absolutely no idea what the hell they were talking about.
Nielsen: OK girls you have me convinced. I doubt with your language skills you could have bought the gun that was used. What about you Murphy?
    Molly: It's Molly.
Nielsen: Isn't it true Molly that you once shaved your head bald and wore a wig?
Molly: Yeah a long time ago? So?
Nielsen: Well I put it to you that this isn't actually your hair but is rather a disguise! (grabs her in a headlock and tugs her hair as she screams)
Nielsen: Oh I guess it is.
Molly: I didn't shoot William you freak.
Nielsen: What about you Victoria? I hear you're a slightly unhinged individual.
Victoria: I am, but I didn't do it.

(At this point Alundra Blayze entered and talked about how she was the fifth participant in the match at Mania and would take the title)

Nielsen: Wait a minute - Molly might not be wearing a disguise but there's no way in hell that's not a mask. (Lunges at Alundra and tugs at her face)
Nielsen: Oh...I guess it's not a mask. Sorry but I had to be thorough.

(she kicks him in the balls)

    Alundra: Is that thorough enough?

(She walks off as the rest of the women leave arguing).
Match # 2 - Lance Storm vs Tiger Mask

Finlay the IC champion came down to commentate and scout his opponent this Sunday, Lance Storm. This was another good match which saw both men put on a great 20 minute encounter. El Hijo del Santo was watching it backstage on a monitor ahead of his mask vs mask match. The finish came with Finlay distracting Storm as he was getting ready to hit a Super Kick. This allowed Tiger Mask to hit a backslide for the 1-2-3 victory.

    Winner: Tiger Mask

    tiger1.jpg

Afterwards Finlay goaded Storm into retaliating knowing he couldn't attack his Mania opponent. Storm mouthed he would take the title Sunday as he left up the ramp.

Backstage: We see Masa Chono sitting with Negro Casas as Jack Brisco walks in. Brisco says he doesn't like the fact he is teaming with Chono tonight but says he likes the fact he will get his hands on him on Sunday. Chono smiled and said he can't touch him tonight as Chono and Casas laughed. Brisco then turned and punched Casas out cold and said he can do that though. Chono looked on knowing he couldn't retaliate. Brisco said he looked forward to later on...

    19.jpg

Meanwhile Leslie Nielsen ran into Mr McMahon...
Vince: Ah I've been eager to meet you Mr Nielsen. Have you found anything then?
Nielsen: I found this penny this morning but that's not important right now.
Vince: I meant in regards to my predescessor being shot in the backside, you idiot.
Nielsen: Yes I have. Some surveillance footage has surfaced but it's tough to make out. I'll need a few days.
Vince: That's Wrestlemania? Are you positive?
    Nielsen: I'm quite cheerful, yes.
Vince: I meant are you positive about finding who shot him?
Nielsen: I believe so. Why you're not nervous are you, Mr. McMahon?
Vince: Of course not. I wasn't here at the time. Just get me the damn assailant at Wrestlemania.
    (commercial plugging Mania)

Elsewhere we see Samoa Joe visit Lou Thesz. Joe said he wanted his undefeated streak to remain intact going into Mania and as long as Thesz and Cena do what they're supposed to do tonight everything should be fine. Thesz said tonight he would call it down the middle - but at Wrestlemania he would end Joe's streak and take home all the gold.

    samoa-joe.jpg

Main Event: John Cena & Samoa Joe vs Masahiro Chono & Jack Brisco (Special Referee Lou Thesz)

The match saw both men teasing losing their cool with their tag partners. The finish came with Brisco looking to make the hot tag but Chono wouldn't tag in. He went to leave up the aisle but Thesz dragged him back. Finish came with Joe hitting the Muscle Buster on Brisco for the pin whilst Cena had Chono tapping out at the same time as both men prevailed.

Winners: Samoa Joe and John Cena

    25.jpg

Afterwards tempers flared and everything looked about to kick off. Vince came down to try and stop that from happening as the crowd chanted 'let them fight'. Thesz got a mic and said Vince's father was someone who knew the importance of giving the fans what they wanted. Thesz said it seems Vince is a coward unlike his old man. This got under Vince's skin who screamed - "LET 'EM FIIIIGGGGGHHHHHTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!"

    26.jpg

Suddenly everyone in the ring was hitting each other with rights and lefts. Backstage the women were shown fighting as were Finlay and Storm and Tiger Mask and El Hijo del Santo. The show went off the air with JR screaming - "BAH GAWD IT'S LIKE A PIER SIX BRAWL HERE! WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN AT WRESTLEMANIA THIS SUNDAY? OH MY GOD! SUNDAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!"

As the show went off the air the promo for the main event played one final time:

TV Build for NWA: Starrcade PPV.

    MAIN EVENT:

NWA World Heavyweight Championship STEEL CAGE MATCH

"The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (c) Vs "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes

    dusty1.jpg

    VS

    Ted_Dibiase.jpg

    Week 1:
Dusty wrestles Mick Foley in a Number 1 Contenders’ Match for the World Title. This has been the culmination of weeks of battling and fighting on Dusty’s part. NWA General manager Larry Zybyszko has placed obstacle after obstacle in his path, having been by bribed by the Million Dollar Man. However Rhodes has been equal to every challenge and his burning desire to finally become World Champion sees him overcome Foley in a hard fought, vicious encounter.

    Week 2:
In one last desperate attempt to avoid facing Rhodes at Starrcade, DiBiase promises NWA GM Larry Zybyszko a lifetime’s supply of the best whores money can buy if he can get the match called off.(Zybyszko is an awful man for the whores), not to mention unlimited use of the Million Dollar Man’s summer villa in picturesque Roscarberry, West Cork.

Zybyszko books himself in a match against Rhodes, with the Millionaire’s Club as lumberjacks, with the stipulation that if he beats Dusty, he loses his match for the title. Dusty reluctantly agrees but only if he gets to name the stipulation for the title match at Starrcade if he wins.

The match itself is a tense affair, with constant interference from the Millionaire’s Club. Dusty manages to snatch an unlikely but heroic victory when IRS tries to clobber him with his briefcase, only for Dusty to duck and the briefcase inadvertently knock Zybyszko out.

    Week 3:
Dusty announces the stipulation for the Main Event at Starrcade:

“Its been a long long road for the American Dream, but finally my dream is on the verge of coming true. In two weeks time at Starrcade, there’s only one way of keeping you from running from me like you have done for years Ted DiBiase. And theres only one way to keep your Millionaire’s clubs buddies from interfering in my business. So in true Starrcade tradition, the Main Event will be a Steel Cage match!!!I’ve finally got you exactly where I want you Million Dollar Man!!!”

Later that night, DiBiase’s desperate attempt to pay the Horsemen to break Rhodes’ leg backfires spectacularly when Anderson and Blanchard double cross him, giving him a taste of his own medicine (Details in the Horsemen vs New Money Inc write up).

    Week 4:
All night backstage segments are shown of the Millionaire’s Club in a panicked state as the Steel cage match looms worryingly on the horizon. DiBiase is shown in larry Zybyszko’s office pleading with him to do something to get the match called off. However even Zybyszko seems to have tired of DiBiase’s ducking and diving:

“Ted I’ve done everything in my power to help you over the years but this thing is out of my hands now. If we call off the match now, we’ll have a riot on our hands. On Sunday night at Starrcade it looks like you’re all on your own.”

To close the show, an emotional Dusty Rhodes cuts a passionate, hearltfelt speech like only the American Dream can. He references all the great wrestlers who have held the title and the true privilege it would be for the mere “son of a plumber” to have his name added to that roll of honour. He speaks of the way that Dibiase’s underhand methods have tarnished the reputation of the NWA Title. He speaks angrily of the “hard times” that the Millionaire’s Club have brought on he and his family. He speaks of how all the suffering and pain he has endured throughout the years at their hands will have been worthwhile to get the chance to lay his hands on DiBiase in a cage at Starrcade.

    He closes with the following moving words;

“Martin Luther King was a man with a dream.

President John F Kennedy, God rest his soul, was a man with a dream.

Some little boy and girls dream of being a policeman, or a fireman or to set foot on the moon. And just like them, Dusty Rhodes has had a dream since he was a little baby boy. And that dream was to one day be the Heavyweight Champion of the World.

They say that dreams don’t come true and and right from day one Dusty Rhodes was told he’d never live out his dream. But I have fought and battled, time and time again I have beaten the odds, and here I stand on the cusp of An American Dream. Sunday night Ted DiBiase, I prove to you and everyone else who ever held me down that dreams do indeed come true. Ain’t nothing you can do about it Teddy boy!”

    UWE: Jolt

Piers Morgan walks to the ring to open the show, walking alongside El Canek & Brian Lee. He orders the guys in the truck to play the video, and we see the beatdown Canek and Lee gave to Andre the Giant last week. As we cut back to the ring Morgan is smirking. "Andre, I know you're watching from home healing after that beatdown, so listen to me. You did wrong by me, and I just cant let that slide. But I'm also a smart man and I know how tough you are, so I had to find someone that can take you down. Lucky for me I have sources all over the world and I found this man. A man that holds a very, very rare win over you. A man that has lifted you off your feet and slammed you to the mat. El Canek. I'm sure you remember him and you'll get to meet him again at Wrestlebrawl. There, it will be you v Canek, no DQ. And just to give you fine folks a taster of what'll happen this weekend Canek is up next."

Match 1 - El Canek v local jobber tag team, no DQ

Canek shows of his brute strength throwing these two guys around like rag dolls. Both job guys are bleeding as the ref mercifully stops the match with neither guy in any shape to continue.
    Canek20Pose6.jpg
    Winner: El Canek
Morgan takes the mic after the match just saying "And that's the damage he can cause without weapons" before leaving.

Match 2 - Speed Muscle & Tatsumi Fujinami v The American Wolves & Buddy Rose
Before the match starts a graphic appears on the screen to inform us that Speed Muscle v The American Wolves has been signed for Wrestlebrawl, and we're reminded that Buddy Rose will face Tatsumi Fujinami for the crusierweight title. A great ten minute tv match giving a taste of the spectacular action we can expect at Wrestlebrawl ends when Rose gets a blind tag and pins Fujinami.
    thewolvesV3.jpgbuddyroseqj5.jpg
Winners: The American Wolves & Buddy Rose
As Buddy celebrates in the ring Fujinami gets on the mic and says in his broken Engrish that he's glad Buddy is happy now, and that he's a slim, trim, 217 pounds because their match will be a ladder match! All the joy has left Buddy's face.

Backstage Morgan meets with the newest UWE recruits, The Can-Am Express. He says he's glad to have them on board, and while the show is fully packed tonight how would they like to debut at Wrestlebrawl? "We'd love to!". "Great, your match will be the pre-show highlight match on www.uwe.com against... Hmm, this man Brian Lee and... Umm Bunkhouse Buck!"

Black Shadow comes to the ring and cuts a promo on Blue Demon. He makes the points that he should be the one that's a legend. He should be the one starring in movies. He should be the one idolized by everyone from child to grandparent but he isn't, and he's sick of it. He tells the crowd that if people don't think of him as a legend on Blue Demon's level, he's going to make it happen by taking his mask at Wrestlebrawl. Blue Demon comes out and begs him to reconsider, and points out all the great times they had as a team. Shadow says that didn't matter because even as a team the focus was never on him. He goads Demon into accepting the match by saying if he refuses he'll forever be thought of as a coward.

Match 3 - Bob Sapp v Jerry Lawler

Before the match Lawler cuts a quick promo on Sapp hyping up both the match next and the tag team title match between himself & Jumbo Tsuruta v Sapp & Genichiro Tenryu. Their match goes a few minutes, back & forth with both men having moments in control until the ref is distracted by Tenryu walking down the aisle. This allows Sapp time to put on brass knuckles and knock Lawler out for the three count.
    bobsapptime.gif
    Winner: Bob Sapp
Tenryu whispers into Bob's ear, who then laughs then shakes his hand before walking to the back.

We get a quick shot in the locker room of Goldberg and Sgt. Slaughter. Goldberg tells him that while he doesn't like him or agree with these anti-American people rants he's been on they're tag team partners tonight against Stone Cold and Austin Idol so they better work together and he better not screw up.

Match 4 - Genichiro Tenryu v Jumbo Tsuruta
The crowd is polite but not red hot at the prospect of the two Japanese legends facing off but after a 25 minute classic they're on their feet chanting "This is awesome" and following the chant with swanky rhythmic clapping. At the start of the match Jumbo seemed to be holding back hoping he could heal the friendship they once had but after Tenryu was caught trying to use the knuckles used by Sapp earlier Tsuruta goes all out. At the end of the match each man is on the ground too beat up to answer the referees ten count.
    444131212_e84495a90c.jpg?v=0
Winner: The Audience & Viewers watching
Post match Sapp runs down to try take advantage of the fallen Jumbo. Lawler runs down with a bandage wrapped around his head to make the save. Both Tsuruta and Tenryu collect their wits long enough to join in the brawl. The ref rather uselessly repeatedly calls for the bell. Security run down to break them up.

Steve Austin and Austin Idol are walking together down a hallway. Idol remarks how they're a perfect team, "Stone Cold and The Universal Heartthrob, the two Austins, the.." Steve cuts him off and stops. "Look son, this match my last match before the biggest match of my career. Try not to mess up." Idol responds "I've got an important match myself. I'm all business, Jack." Stone Cold smiles and they continue walking.

Match 5 - Steve Austin & Austin Idol v Goldberg & Sgt. Slaughter
The crowd is at boiling point at the prospect of seeing Austin & Goldberg in the ring at the same but but for most of the match they're kept apart. Finally Steve tags in after Idol was out of his depth against Goldberg the building erupts. They stare across the ring but Slaughter tags himself in. He and Goldberg row before Slaughter walks into a stunner and looses the match.
    stone-cold-steve-austin.jpgaustin_idol.jpg
    Winners: Double Austin
The final show before Wrestlebrawl ends with Austin and Goldberg staring down in the middle of the ring.

A entertaining enough match with plenty of good moves by both men , CW had Bagwell in a lot of difficult positions early on including a really nice arm bar but Bagwell was just beside the rope and ref had to break the count, CW Anderson puts Bagwell under a lot of pressure and when he goes for the single arm DDT, Bagwell is able to counter with a suplex and then finish him with a single arm choke

Its time for two of the greatest tag teams ever to finally meet Demolition have been looking for competition for a long time and they have got it with the New Age outlaws who don’t look happy after last weeks events when the lost there chance at the titles when the rWo defeated them, they really take it earlier on to Demolition who take a lot of punishment but also dish out some of there own there is a couple of close 2 counts and when Billy Gunn hits Ax with the swinging slide slam and Ax kicks out again at 2 they have enough and Road dogg and Billy Gunn decide to take a chair to Demolition and beat them down they ref has no choice but to DQ them

The excitement is really built up for this and the American Express as expected got a huge pop from the crowd who start to chant USA USA which distracts the rWo who spend too much attention to the crowd and not the American Express , Patriot and Luger are working very well together all four men get in the ring at one stage and Ivan Koloff puts Luger in a bear hug but then the Patriot puts Volkoff into a bear hug of his own , a really entertaining match up going one way and another but teams seem to be out on there feet the finish comes when Luger whips Volkoff off the rope and then hits him when his signature running forearm smash for the three count the crowd gives a huge cheer and chants USA USA as Luger and the Patriot start to fly the American flagThe_Patriot_-_Del_Wilkes_02.jpg

Just then Gorilla Monsoon comes out with a mic and tells Triple H that his night is not over yet and as the GM of CWA with sole power he tells him that he has to defend his title against the No.1 contender Mr,Anderson and that match is now, Mr.Anderson runs down the ramp and smashes Triple H head against the cell he then brings him back inside to the ring the rest of DX rush down to make the save but Anderson is able to close the cell door they cant get in Anderson hooks in the mic cheek and Triple H tries to hold out while Anderson screams at him ANDERSON ANDERSON ANDERSON, Triple H can take no more and taps out

McMahon and Ortiz laugh off the Brawler immediately, taking more interest in the woman in the front row with the massive diddys. In their distraction, the Brawler attempts to take advantage, by sneak attacking McMahon. He tries, but fails. McMahon laughs, and beats Brawler to a pulp.

Winner via pinfall in 4:01 - Shane McMahon

After the match, Bam Bam rushes down to the ring to attack McMahon before their No Holds Barred match in Croke Park. McMahon quickly leaves the ring, but tells Ortiz to get Bigelow. Ortiz gets the takedown on Bam Bam, but Bam Bam uses his weight to turn Ortiz onto his back and gets readly to unleash a flurry on him, before McMahon grabs Tito’s arm and pulls him to safety. They turn at the top of the ramp, and McMahon motions he is going to win the TV title this Sunday. Bam Bam screams “you’re not ready you punk” as we go to commercial.

We return and it is now time for the confrontation between Morishima, Striker and Sammartino. Bruno is greeted with a heros welcome, whereas Striker and Morishima are met with a barrage of fingers from the capacity crowd. Striker says this Sunday, Bruno will be exposed to the world as the washed up has been that he is, and that the era of Morishima will finally begin. Bruno says that Striker has verbally run him down for the last four weeks. He asks Striker how confident he is that Morishima will win? Striker laughs, patting Morishima on the back, and says to look at him, who wouldn’t be 100% confident? Bruno says that’s what he wanted to hear. He says he has a proposition for Striker. If Bruno looses, he will join Strikers class and be educated by him, and do whatever he wants. Striker is intrigued. However, Bruno says, if he wins….. he gets 5 minutes in the ring with Striker, and if anyone else tries to interfere, he will get another 5 minutes. Striker seems taken aback. He whispers something in Morishima’s ear, before accepting. Bruno is thrilled, and leaves before he can be double-teamed.

    *commercial break*

We’re back, and it’s time for our main event of the evening.

Match #3 - Shawn Michaels and Christian vs Sheamus and Austin Aries

Top quality tag match between four of the top stars in the PWF. During the match, we notices Sheamus’s reluctances to tag in to face his opponent on Sunday, Shawn Michaels. Finish comes when both Christian and Aries tag out, bringing in the main event for Sundays PPV. Despite tagging out, Aries attacks Christian and spears him through the middle rope. Michaels is take aback for a second, and this turns out to be a second too long, as he turns into a huge bicycle kick from the Celtic Warrior.. HBK is out. Sheamus gives him the razors edge, and Sheamus has pinned the World Champion just four days before Bloody Sunday!

Winner via pinfall in 17:57 – Sheamus and Austin Aries

    My final write up

    Onto the show!!~!
    VWF Mania

Show opens with a video highlighting why tonight is so special:

Alot better than the other videos I've done!

Opening Match: Billy Kidman vs. Yosohiro Tajiri

    - A 7 minute opening match.

    - These two have had and would have a good solid match. Not a show stealer but enough to get the crowd off to a hot start

Finish: Kidman wins the shooting star press.

Match 2: The Crush Girls Collide- Chigusa Nagayo vs. Lioness Asuka

    31876.jpg
How would the match be structured?

    - I'd give them about 10 minutes as well.

    - They were amazing wrestlers. If I put them any higher up the card, they would risk not getting over with the crowd. Second match on the card is perfect.

    - Chigusa Nagayo with a northern lights suplex.

Match 3: World Tag team titles- The Dynamic Dudes Gino Hernandez & Chris Adams vs. The Crusher & The Abyss

Theme: The cocky, young punk champions versus the lovable monster challengers.

How would the match be structured?

    - I would also give them 10 minutes.

    - Crusher & Abyss would mostly dominate but the heels would take over for a few minutes or so that Abyss could make a hot tag and do a comeback.

    - The finish It would be the heel team of Hernandez and Adams retaining by cheating. Adams would pin Abyss with both feet on the ropes.

Why? I don't think every match has to have the good guys winning. Abyss and Crusher can get their revenge later on down the road.
    01.jpg

Match 4: World Cruiserweight Title: The Great Sasuke (champion) vs. Rey Mysterio (challenger)
    J-Crown.jpgRey_Mysterio_862881.jpg

Theme for the storyline: None. Let's just see who is the best.

Thought on the match/How would the match be structured?

    - I would give them lots of time, 15 to 20 minutes to let them do their thing. Rey Mysterio to me never gets the credit he deserves for being an innovator but also for being so good for so long. As for The Great Sasuke, injuries took their toll on him but in the mid 1990's, he was the Cruiserweight on everybodies lips.

-Finish: So it would be a match with all of their famous moves with the finish being Sasuke missing the Swantom Bomb and Mysterio winning with a west coast pop.

Here are some of the moves you would likely see:

    Great Sasuke Top 10 moves:

    Rey Mysterio Top 10 moves:

Match 5: Flag match: Verne Gagne & Jessie "The Body" Ventura vs. The Great Muta & Konnan w.Jim Cornette

    Theme for the storyline:
America: Patriotism (Gagne & Verntura) vs. Perceived inequality (Muta, Cornette, Konnan).

    jesse-ventura1.jpgGagne_med.jpg

Thought on the match/How would the match be structured?

    - I was never a big fan of the American versus the "evil" foreigner feuds that WWE continuously done. The only one I ever liked was the Bret Hart Canada versus USA in 1997. It was different because everyone was very believable in their role.

    - And that's why this feud works. Ventura with his navy backround and Verne Gagne with his All American amateur wrestling roots are perfect as the good guys while Konnan & The Great Muta with Cornette as his manager are perfect foils too. It just seemed natural.

    - Through talking on the mic alone, this feud would be gold with Venura, Cornette and even Konnan being top, top promo men and would be naturals at talking on an issue like this.

    - This match would not be pretty. It would not be classic but with the added storyline, the emotion of the crowd would more than carry it. It would be physical. It would be bloody.

    - The finish would be Cornette holding Gagne. Muta would go to give him the green mist. Gagne would duck with Cornette taking it in the face. Ventura would grab Cornettes racket and beat the holy hell out of everyone with Verne Gagne (the President of the VWF) climbing to the top to capture the American flag.

    flag_of_the_usa_0d.jpg

Match 6: Hair vs Hair match: Adorable Adrian Adonis vs. Mikey Whipwreck w. Christy Hemme (Christy's hair on the line!)

    Christy%2BHemme.jpg13.jpg
Theme for the storyline: Hair!!! The snobby, blonde, feminine D4 guy (Adonis) versus the red headed loser (Whipwreck) and his charming red headed female friend (Christy Hemme).

Thought on the match/How would the match be structured?

    - This match is the comedy buffer after alot of serious wrestling and angles. It gives the crowd a chance to breathe a little while still be entertained.

    - The match would go 5 minutes. Adonis would dominate with Mikey getting no offence..

Finish: Mikey is motionless on the canvas. Adorable Adrian climbs the second turnbuckle to do his finisher (The Vader splash). While climbing he spots his hair dresser Gok Wan in the audience.
    gok+wan.jpg

He attempts to give him a wave but he looses his balance on the turnbuckle and falls on the back of his head onto the mat. Mikey struggles over and drapes his hand over Adonis 1 2 3.

    Head shaving time!
Adrian: I want Gok to do it. I want Gok!!!

Adrian would complain about the barber hurting his scalp, would pick up his hair off the ground with lots of crying and moaning in between. Gok would simply be hanging his head in shame.
    JoshHeadShave.jpg

Match 7: Bobby "The Brain" Heenan vs. Iron Mike Tyson

    mike-tyson.jpg
Theme for the storyline: The conniving manager getting what he deserves.

Thought on the match/How would the match be structured?

    - It's simple. Bobby Heenan was the best wrestling manager of the 1970's and 1980's. He was the lead heel in both the AWA and the WWF.

    - So who better to give the crafty, weazel in Bobby Heenan his comeuppance than the nastiest, biggest drawing boxer of all time in Mike Tyson. They fit like a glove.

    - The match would be simple. Tyson would enter the ring first. While Heenan slowly comes to the ring, Vance Archer, member of the Heenan family, from behind would try a sneak attack on Tyson but Tyson would simply turn around and Archer would run into his fist.
    06.jpg
    - Heenan would try to flee but Verne Gagne (president of the VWF) would catch him and dump him into the ring.

    - Tyson would throw Heenan around (as Heenan was a great bump taker).

    - Tyson would pick him up and just as he was about to give him a knockout punch he would.......stop. Heenan however would think that he was hit and would fall to the ground clutching his face out of pure fear.

    - Finish: After about 10 seconds, Heenan would figure out he didn't get hit. Tyson would give him his best choir boy smile and help Bobby up. Heenan would of course fall for it and think they could be friends forever.....but just as Heenan is on his feet, BANG. Tyson knocks him out.

World Heavyweight Title: Nick Bockwinkel (champion) vs. Bret "The Hitman" Hart (challenger)- career vs. career.

    nick.jpg
Theme: The arrogant master (Bockwinkel) versus the hard working apprentice who now believes he is ready to be number 1 (Bret Hart)

Thought on the match/How would the match be structured?

    - I set the stage in my storyline. It's simple. 1 will win and be champion and 1 will lose and retire.

    - Match would go 25 minutes. Back and forth with a ton of near falls at the end. These 2 were 2 of the best ever in the ring. A guaranteed great, great match.

    - Finish: Hart puts Bockwinkel in the sharpshooter. Bockwinkel hangs on in there displaying alot of guts and courage but eventually taps out with Bret becoming the new champ.

    - While Bockwinkel is a heel, I would still invisage Hart and him shaking hands at the end with Bockwinkel cutting a final promo talking briefly about his 4 decade career, thanking 1 or 2 who have helped him and then finally putting Hart over as the new master of professional wrestling.

    - The show would end with Hart posing with the belt with all of the other babyfaces holding him aloft.

New tag champs Daniels and Black.

    tbc ..........................................

Out comes GM JBL and he says he dont need The Rock tonight as he has a chosen the person who will wrestle on his behalf against Trump's minion. JBL introduces Rocky Johnson who comes out next. The Rock looks stunned he asks his father why and he says he needs to prove he can by himself without any help. He has asked Tony to stay away from the ring and he wants him to also. JBL tells The Rock to leave the ring and the match is next. Rocky gets in the ring for his match and the The Rock trys to reason with him. In the end he tells the Rock to leave. The Rock leaves totally upset with his father.

Out next is Donald Trump who introduces Sting

    sting.jpg

There is look of shock on JBL and Rocky J's faces as Sting makes his way to the ring. JBL and Donald are now at ringside also. Sting gets a mic and asks Rocky J is he is sure. Ricky J agrees so the match starts. Tony Altas is shown backstage watching but no sign of The Rock. Monday Night Grappling welcomes you to...

    WRESTLEMANIA

Ladies and gentlemen we are live at the sold out Madison Square Garden, New York City, for the greatest wrestling extravaganza event of the year - Wrestlemania! Lillian Garcia sings the US anthem and we begin with an old favourite video package - 'Trailblazing'...

We kick things off with some high flying cruiserweight action...

Opening match: Juventud Guerrera (c) vs Negro Casas (Cruiserweight Title)
Quick storyline recap: The babyface Juventud has been put into this match by Vince McMahon who doesn't like him being on his roster based on his last stint with Vince's company. As a result he has made him put his belt on the line against the heel wrestler Negro Casas.

This was a fast-paced 15 minute opener to warm the crowd. Both men worked well with their lucha styles and there were a lot of near falls. Finish came with Casas getting caught on the top rope by Juventud who hit a hurricanrana followed by a 450 splash for the pinfall.

Winner and still Cruiserweight Champion: Juventud Guerrera

    21.jpg

Match # 2 Lance Storm vs Finlay (c) (Intercontinental Title)
Quick storyline recap: Finlay has been calling Lance Storm pathetic and weak the past couple of weeks. Storm inadvertently helped Finlay win the IC title from Tiger Mask a few weeks back. There is little love lost between the two.

This was a terrific technical bout that went about 20 minutes with both men telling a great story in the ring. The finish saw Storm battling his way out of Finlay's Celtic Cross attempt and hitting his Super Kick for the surprising clean pinfall. The commentators put over how Storm had proved he was anything but weak.

Winner and new Intercontinetal Champion: Lance Storm

    18.jpg

Backstage: Todd Grisham interviews John Cena who was largely booed as he appeared on screen. Cena said no one gave him much of a chance against Joe and Thesz tonight but he was a soldier and he would fight on. Like he said last week, never count John Cena out.

Match # 3 Jack Brisco vs Masahiro Chono
Quick storyline recap: Brisco debuted helping out the man he idolised Lou Thesz as he was being unfairly assaulted by Chono. Subsequently the two have been getting involved in one another's affairs.

This was another very technically sound bout which was more physical than the previous ones. Match went about twenty minutes. The story was Brisco working on Chono's leg and the finish saw Brisco duck Chono's Yakuza Kick attempt and lock in the figure four for the tap-out victory.

    Winner: Jack Brisco

    05.jpg

Backstage: This time Grisham is interviewing Samoa Joe who got a mixture of cheers and boos. Joe said the streak stays intact tonight and he's leaving with all the gold. Tonight there will be a Wrestlemania moment when Joe writes his name into the history books.

    The whodunnit reveal...
Quick storyline recap: Regal was the GM and was an asshole to everyone. He then got shot in the backside and was taken out of action. So who did it?
    It wasn't Rikishi

Vince McMahon came out to boos.

    09.jpg

Vince said tonight was about answers. He said speaking of answers he knew Eric Bischoff had laid a challenge down to wrestle him next month. Vince said like previously any challenge put to him he would meet so he accepts. Crowd chanted "Bischoff sucks". Vince said "Yes he does! He sucks just like each and every one of you!". Crowd booed. Vince commended the WECWF and BWA on recent PPVs and said they will hopefully make enough money to fund Scott Hall's latest crisis and Hogan's daughter's failing music career. He said he had given those two small-time companies enough air-time, tonight was about Monday Night Grappling and finding the answers to who shot William Regal. Vince asked the crowd who they think did it. Some of them shouted 'You' as he laughed and said New Yorkers were dumber than he realised. He called out Leslie Nielsen who came out to his Police Squad/Naked Gun music to a surprisingly great reception.

Vince asked Nielsen if he knew anything Vince didn't know? Nielsen replied he knew his wife would make a bad senator. Vince said he was referring to news that would make him feel better. Nielsen said he liked Vince's hairstyle. Vince got pissed off and said he meant in regards to Regal. Nielsen said his analysts had found video footage from the night in question and while most of it was not able to be salvaged, one image was - the image of a man. The image of the culprit. Nielsen said it was clear as day who it was that shot William Regal that night. It was in fact...

    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .

    Lance Storm!

The new Intercontinental Champion came out smiling.

    40.jpg

Storm said he didn't think Nielsen had the brains to figure it out. Vince asked him why he did it. Storm said the clues were all there. Initially he thought Regal becoming GM of the show would be great as they won the tag titles together - but William changed. He got too big for his boots. He put him in a match with perhaps the greatest wrestler of all time Lou Thesz and when Storm lost Regal said he had let him down. He continued to insult him while Finlay was calling him weak. Storm said he'd had enough and so bought himself a gun and attempted to take Regal out. Storm said his plan had worked as he no longer had to share tag titles with that egomaniac and he was now the Intercontinental Champion.

As Storm continued talking the crowd popped and Vince's face dropped - William Regal slowly appeared behind Storm.

    profile.jpg

Crowd started chanting "Regal, Regal". Storm slowly turned around as Regal began hitting him with rights and lefts. He brought him to the stage where there were tables stacked up below as the crowd cheered. Regal threw Storm off the stage into the tables as the crowd popped huge.

Regal grabbed the mic and said the REAL boss was back. He said Vince was in the ring doing HIS job. Regal said things were going to get very interesting around here as his former role as GM meant he still had a stake in the company and could still wield some power. Regal said never mind about the war from outside Vince, get ready for the war from WITHIN. The crowd cheered and Nielsen smiled while Vince looked on in shock.

    22.jpg

Backstage: Todd Grisham was interviewing the final participant in the main event, NWA Champion Lou Thesz, who said tonight he was going against two great competitors. He said Joe was a monster but monsters can be slain. He said Cena called himself a soldier but Thesz actually WAS one. Crowd popped for that. He said tonight he was leaving with all the gold and would end Joe's streak. Crowd was more into Thesz than the other men.

Match # 4 El Hijo del Santo vs Tiger Mask (Loser loses his mask)
Quick storyline recap: Negro Casas was El Hijo del Santo's former tag partner but they had a bitter split and Casas got Regal to book this match. The masks mean a lot to both men and they have never fought one another before. Who will prevail?

The match was the match of the night as both men fought like their lives depended on it. Match went 30 minutes and the people were on their feet by the end of it as both men were countering each other's moves and hitting near-falls on one another. Finish came with Tiger Mask attempting a sunset flip only for El Hijo del Santo to sit down on it and pin Tiger Mask for the 1-2-3.

    Winner: El Hijo del Santo.

    01.jpg

Afterwards Tiger Mask duly took off his mask and both men shook hands as the crowd went wild.

    01.jpg

Match # 5: A five women elimination match: Victoria (c) vs Mayumi Ozaki vs Akira Hokuto vs Molly Holly vs Alundra Blayze (Women's title)

This match went on second to last to give the fans a breather before the main event. This was a fast paced match which went about 15 minutes. Mayumi Ozaki was the first to be eliminated by Alundra Blayze who hit a powerbomb.

    Eliminated: Mayumi Ozaki

Next to be eliminated was Molly who got pinned by Hokuto who grabbed her tights for the 1-2-3.

    Eliminated: Molly

It was then down to the champion Victoria, Hokuto and Alundra. Alundra got double teamed by both women and Victoria hit a Widow's Peak on her for the 1-2-3 pin.

    Eliminated: Alundra Blayze

Now it was down to just Victoria and Akira Hokuto. The finish came with Victoria hitting the Widow's Peak but Hokuto kicked out to everyone's surprise. Victoria then tried a powerbomb attempt but Hokuto countered with her Dangerous Queen bomb for the 1-2-3.

Winner and new Women's Champion: Akira Hokuto

    01.jpg

Backstage: We see Regal leaving the arena as Grisham stops him and asks him is he finished with Lance Storm now? Regal says he's only just started with Storm and at the next PPV he will be attempting to take the Intercontinental title from him. Grisham asked about what he has in store for Vince? Regal simply replied that a war was coming so people will have to choose which side they're on.

Elsewhere we see Vince McMahon in his 'war room' looking very pensive.

    60.jpg

Howard Finkel then announced the attendance figures which had set a new record and he revealed it was now time for the main event match for the Undisputed Heavyweight championship...

Main Event: John Cena (c) vs Samoa Joe vs Lou Thesz (c) (WWE Title vs Undefeated streak vs NWA Title all on the line)

Each men came out to special entrances. Cena came out first with a row of men on each side wearing suits playing up the Wall Street connection. Cena appeared in his own suit which he ripped off to reveal his usual attire. Most fans booed this.

Joe came out next to a special Samoan themed entrance surrounded by Samoan warriors. This was also booed but Joe got more cheers when he got into the ring.

Thesz came out to his patriotic music surrounded by US Army men carrying flags. Thesz got the largest ovation.

The match itself was action packed. Joe took a bump early on as Cena and Thesz worked on each other. Cena was getting booed as usual at Mania. Fans did the 'boos' and 'yays' with every punch. Later, Cena and Joe formed an alliance and knocked Thesz outside as the former friends went at it. Fans tried to rally Thesz. Cena hit the F-U on Joe but he kicked out. Joe hit the muscle buster on Cena but he kicked out. Thesz got in the ring and hit a powerbomb on Joe but he kicked out. Eventually Cena was knocked outside and at this point Vince came down.

    03.jpg

The fans booed as J.R. wondered what he was doing out here? Thesz had his STF locked in on Joe who looked about ready to tap but Vince pulled Thesz off Joe. He hit Thesz with a chair as Joe and Vince smiled at one another. At that point Cena came back in the ring and Vince handed the chair to Cena who hit Joe over the head with it. It was a double-cross. Cena threw Joe outside and hit Thesz with several shots of the chair. He covered him as Vince told the ref to count for 1...2... but Thesz kicked out. Cena got pissed off and said the son of a bitch needed a few more. He hit Thesz with about 10-15 further chair shots and covered him finally for the pin.

Winner and new Undisputed Champion: John Cena

    34.jpg

The fans began throwing stuff and booing vociferously. Vince grabbed a mic and asked them how did they think this would end? Did they expect he'd allow guys who were made famous in other organisations hold his belt? Cena grabbed the mic and said at last the fans had good reason to boo him. He said he was no fool and was not going to go up against an undefeated monster and perhaps the greatest wrestler ever without a gameplan.

Cena said for the last 5 years he had bent over backwards for you fans, visiting sick kids and being a hard worker and yet all he got was abuse. He said now all you fans can kiss his ass because he is the Undisputed Champion. Cena said it looks like there's a war coming and the side he's on is the side of Mr. McMahon. Young Cena fans in the crowd were stunned as the two men celebrated up the aisle.

    29.jpg

Fans booed as Thesz lay motionless in the ring and Joe looked on from ringside dazed and angry. The show went off the air with J.R. screaming "CENA HAS SOLD HIS SOUL TO THE DEVIL HIMSELF! WHY JOHN WHY? TELL ME WHY!"

    The show closes.

    ============================================

    Final thoughts:

As you can see I've gone with a Wrestlemania 17 style ending. I felt this was necessary as a Cena heel turn looked like it was sorely needed with the other guys on my roster. I feel I can handle it as I have big babyface stars in Thesz, Brisco, El Hijo del Santo and Tiger Mask. I think it would be good to keep Cena as my heel champ for a good while and have Thesz and Joe chase him for it. I'd have Brisco moved up the card into the picture too gradually.

Also as you can see I'm building towards a Regal/Vince clash which I think is worthwhile as I've tried to make both men into important characters on my show.

I've also tried to make Lance Storm into a strong heel with the whodunnit storyline and the clean win over Finlay. If I was to continue my show I would have it centre around a face Regal trying to win over the other faces for a showdown with Vince, Cena, Storm and other heels. I think it would make for entertaining viewing.

Anyway that's my thought process. Hope you liked my shows and PPV. I'm happy with the mixture of North American, Mexican, Japanese and European talent and I hope you like it too. Cheers.

    UWE: Wrestlebash PPV

Pre Show Web match: Can-Am Express v Brian Lee & Bunkhouse Buck
Basically a match that'll put over the Can-Am Express strongly with them hitting their big moves, both single and team, which I'd imagine would wow and warm up the crowd nicely. After the match they'll cut a quick promo saying they'll be watching the tag match later and eventually they'll be wearing the gold.

The PPV officially starts with a beautiful fireworks display and Tobias Sammet sings the national anthem before he and his band Edguy play the official Wrestlebash theme.

They're joined on vocals by "The Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol who gets a very nice pop indeed. The music is interrupted however by a disgusted Sgt. Slaughter who cuts a promo insulted that a German was singing the national anthem, and the idiots in the crowd here are cheering them and a waster like Idol when he should be their role model. He goes on to say that he gave his life fighting for America overseas to keep this country great, but it was for nothing since lazy idiots like the people in the crowd are killing this once great nation. He's drowned in boos as Idol runs to the ring and the first match starts.

Match 1 - Austin Idol v Sgt. Slaughter
Not too long of a match to start the show off with Slaughter taking control at the start to get more heat but Idol makes his comeback and makes Slaughter tap out to the Las Vegas Leglock for the win after around 7 minutes.
    Winner: Austin Idol

Notes: I decided to put this match on first because I figured with the personalities involved it'd get a crowd reaction and warm them up nicely, but they'll not have a show stealing match either to wear the crowd out. I went with Slaughter as the heel since I think he'd work well today as a character insulting the morals of today's generation.

Match 2 - Tatsumi Fujinami(c) v Buddy Rose - Ladder Match for the UWE Cruiserweight Championship
Match starts with entertaining mat wrestling exchanges where Fujinami gets the upper hand. Rose hits a low blow however and starts to use his weight advantage by hitting splashes in the corner to get the upper hand. He then attempts to get a ladder but struggles to climb it to the amusement of the crowd. The match then has a series of entertaining spots before Fujinami retains his title after Rose passed out to a Dragon sleeper allowing him to reach his title unchallenged in around the 15 minute mark.
    Winner: Tatsumi Fujinami
    202026.jpg
Notes: I booked this match to play on Rose's "Slim, trim 217 pound" gimmick, and made it a ladder match so his weight would end up playing against him. Rose was a good worker and Fujinami incredible so I see the match being very good to great.

Match 3 - The American Wolves v Speed Muscle
In this match both teams are let of the leash and go at each other full on. The combination of technical wrestling skill, speed and fluidity of moves, high flying, innovative spots and near falls have the crowd going nuts. The Wolves get the win after Richards pins Doi after a DR Driver.
    Winners: The American Wolves
    16k25xk.jpg
Notes: On paper the leading contender for match of the night with arguably 3 of the top 10 wrestlers in the world today (Richards, Doi and Yoshino) and Edwards one of the fastest improving. Putting these two teams together in a match had to be done.

    Match 4 - Blue Demon v Black Shadow - Mask v Mask
The story of this match is Demon not fully wanting to fight his former partner and "brother", but after Shadow tries to rip his mask off Demon starts to fight back. The matches goes almost 20 minutes and Blue Demon wins rolling Black Shadow up after he misses a top rope splash.
    Winner: Blue Demon
    03.jpg
Notes: Being the legendary names they both are I would have to assume this match would bring in a huge Mexican interest. Since there's so little video footage I have no idea what the match would be like but reports of both guys suggest it would be very good. Bryan Alvarez in the Black Shadow obituary he wrote with lucha expert Steve Sims help wrote that he was "regarded as one of the best workers of that generation" while Meltzer wrote in a Santo bio of Blue Demon that "Demon was widely considered the better wrestler, and certainly the stronger shooter (Demon, at least by reputation, was considered pound-for-pound one of the toughest men in Lucha history)."

*Before the next match the highlights of the pre show web match and the Can-Am Express promo are shown*

Match 5 - Jerry Lawler & Jumbo Tsuruta (c) v Bob Sapp & Genichiro Tenryu - UWE Tag Team Championship Match
Before the match both Sapp and Lawler cut great promos, the basic just of both being their team would win. A vintage tag team match with Sapp and Tenryu getting the heat on Jumbo before Lawler gets the hot tag much to the crowds approval. The heel team try using brass knuckles again but are caught by the ref, but they have a spare pair and after a distraction Sapp knocks out Tsuruta for the win after almost 20 minutes.
Winners & New UWE Tag Team Champions: Bob Sapp & Genichiro Tenryu
    4u6zd5.gifzkm8_tenryu5.jpg
Notes: Decided to team up Lawler/Tsuruta and Sapp/Tenryu since despite the two Japanese guys being two all time greats in the ring they could do with mouthpieces on the mic, and Lawler and Sapp are superb on the mic, much better than the script I've gave them throughout. Gave the heels the win to give more options for the future. Could have this feud continue, or have them feud with the Can-Am Express, or a three way. Likely the first until the Can-Am Express build their name a bit more.

Match 6 - Andre the Giant v El Canek - No DQ
Piers Morgan is ringside and is assisting El Canek by throwing weapons to him and by trying to distract Andre. The match doesn't go too long due to the limitations of both guys. The finish comes with Piers distracting Andre, who looks to have Canek beat, trying to distract Andre once more, but Andre lifts him into the ring and looks like he's about to attack him when a revived Canek bodyslams Andre onto a chair to get the win. The crowd is in disbelief as this is Andre's first ever pinfall loss in the UWE.
    Winner: El Canek
    Canek+1.jpg
Notes:I decided to have Andre take the fall to try make Canek a top guy. Eventually down the line Andre get his revenge and end up beating the holy bejaysus out of Piers Morgan.

Match 7 - Goldberg (c) v "Stone Cold" Steve Austin - UWE Heavyweight Championship Match
The two guys stare down as the crowd gets boiling hot for the bout ahead. The match appears to be heading like every other Goldberg match, with him dominating but unlike all his previous victims he can't get the three count. Austin proves how tough of a S.O.B. he is by kicking out of the Jackhammer. As the match starts to go longer than any Goldberg match in history he visibly starts to tire and Austin goes on the attack taking control of the match eventually hitting the stunner but Goldberg shows his own toughness by also kicking out. Both guys are on the canvas and look completely spent but they both make it to their feet at the count of 9. Goldberg then looks to have found some kind of second wind as he charges at Austin with a spear, but he gets out of the way and Goldberg crashes into the ringpost. He drags himself out of the corner to be met with a stunner and Austin gets the three count and the title.
Winner & New UWE Heavyweight Champion of the Woooorld: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
    StoneCold_Steve_Austin.jpg
When Goldberg gets to his feet again they shake hands and raise each others arm in the air before Goldberg leaves allowing Austin to celebrate with the fans.
Notes: After this match I'd take Goldberg of the air for a while to try prevent him getting stale. I'd have him explain that he thought he was invincible, but got beat by the better man so he has to go and work on a few areas of his game, but he'd be back better than ever and would earn a rematch with Austin. As for Austin I'd probably have El Canek as next challenger, with Morgan being a thorn in Austin's side yet again.
