Ah but Thaed - we are special and Sarky must ask himself does he deserve to be our Mod. You cant just come in and Mod a thread with a "i dont care if anyone likes me" online persona and expect to be taken seriously by a group of adults.It doesnt happen.

One of the things that makes us special is that when a one of our group is unhappy the others will stand up for them.

Sarky was picked by the admins to be the mod of here, if ye don't like it then then I suggest ye take it up the line rahter then whinging.

I do have to say that if Sarky wasn't Sarky he'd never survive. There are some very strong and unique personalities here, and I would miss them if they went away. I'd miss Sarky though too (now don't everyone jump on me at once)Just think we could have a worse mod and actually sort of used to Sarky. I don't know what rules have been broken though.

A charter is written widely enough to cater for most eventualities and when we discussed it with our Admin and others the concensus was that the nature of the forum was that moding was fairly loose-but not as far as Dr Bollocko in the Dome. The style of moding suits the dome.

Where my view did change was when Colrow was leaving after Cicero and a whole lot of other regulars. So you post in a forum because of the other users.

If someone is breaking the rules warn or ban them.

Just forget aboot it. He's fine. If ya don't like him, complain to the admins, not here.

All this complaining will soon begin to alienate posters just like what happened in the Ladies Lounge. I have no problem with Sarky. The post he made the other day was odd but I'll let it slide.

The thing with modding, and pretty much anything in the wurld, is that not everybody will like it. It's just the way it is. I don't think that just because some posters don't like him that he should be demodded.

I think everyone here is nice -good people - good posters. Also think most don't fit into the same mold,. Have strong opinions, unique to them -resent being told what to do or think, (I think that's a good thing). It's just that blend keeps everything going. I wonder if anyone here knows how good they've got it? If anything Sarky is one of the best mods to have here - I fear none of us would get away with half of what we do at the moment if we had a "normal" moderator here.

But seriously, how much of this is due to his randomness? Is all of this prompted by his disagreements with the Baseless Lie thread? I think a lot of it is, and like it or not many other mods would have taken it down by now. Its not the tCN regulars that are the problem, its trolls abusing the thread to launch personal attacks, soft-skinned newbs moaning about being bullied and random visitors just not getting it and block-marking half the thread, burying Sarky in angry e-mails

And yeah, he does tend to thread-jack every so often when he's bored, but seriously guys and gals its tCN. Its supposed to be random! :rolleyes: The random ban threat was possibly a bit risque (even I did a double-take before running my usual sarcasm check on it) but I personally haven't seen him do anything to anyone. Bar the BL thread issues which are pretty understandable if you're a Mod and seem to have gone a long way to inspire this thread in the first place.

I might be missing something that transpired between Sarky and our recent departed via PM or Feedback (you don't just leave a regular haunt for ever and never come back just because its going through a slow-ish patch!) but nothing I've seen here screams "SH/T MOD" - I've encountered just one of those before and let me tell you: you really don't forget that kind of experience. Ever.

And speaking of not-random, this thread is so serious and inflammatory its making my head hurt. I come here to get away from this kind of thing - maybe its not Sarky thats wholly responsible for causing the migration away from here!
