Cmon Sarky, come one here and discuss what you like and dislike about TCN.

We have a sense of community going here that many Forums would be proud of - we have worldwide posters and the humour crosses cultures.

So what is it about it you dont get????????

We asked you for a discussion and you posted that you wanted no discussions.

So what are people to think when they see modding like that above.

knows that discussions should be confidential between individuals
group discussion is for groups
people working together is not a group

Matt - thanks -but I have tried the discussion thing as have others and feel that there is a great bunch of people in TCN.

We get the same thing -close down the Baseless Lie.

Anything you can bring that gets things happy between personalities would be cool.

I think it's the fact that it is meant to be fun, silly and Dadist rather then borderline insulting and some people don't seem to understand this which is the problem.

Sarky isn't the problem it's the creative and humour challenged people sadly posting in threads with posts which are abusive.

Maybe we should have a fundraiser for them, really there is bound to be some sort of experimental treatment we can invent discover for them, we just need a foundation and a treatment center.

If you like your humour Derek & Clive (Dudley Moore & Peter Cook) , Skinner & Baddiel and even Enfield and Whitehouse.Then you are in the zone.

If you are into intellectualising it and find Vladimir in Waiting for Godot an absolute hoot and laugh when he produces the carrot then this type of humour is not for you.

The Baseless Lie Thread has nothing to do with the Theatre of the Absurd and I dont think Beckett was a bounder for naming a play after a protagonist that never appears. I found it boring.

The humour of the Music Hall , Working Mans Clubs and Seaside Postcards may be old fashioned but it works. If you dont get the spontaneity of the thread and the trains of thought and characters people have within the thread then you are thinking far too deeply.

There is a bit of Wrestling thrown in too where you have Babyfaces and Heels.

Some of it is insult based but that is the genre.

Dont you think if you are planning to change the focus of the forum into a Dadaist, Surreal and whatever style forum that you should inform the users and let them decide if its worth the effort carrying on here or whether they should find a home somewhere else. Maybe its an invitation for us to migrate like the swallows.

The TCN is not mainstream and not for everybody. No one minds co-existing as we were happily doing before Sarky became mod and with no hassles but the users must want the change and not have it forced on us.

I think you've made very interesting posts CDfm. I don't often post on the baseless lie thread, because frankly I'm not very good at it, but I read it and have posted there. I wonder has anyone actually complained about the thread? (I would thank your post - if I had a thanks button, but since I don't I will just wink-;);););))
