Obviously google has thrown up a million different suppliers / designs / DIY Packages

Can anyone recommend a good supplier? At the moment I am leaning towards designing and creating my own, but if I can find a supplier who has reasonable prices I may save myself the hassle.

    Cheers

    Hi Ninja,

I've found this site to be inspirational with respect to paper designs.

You might find something there to inspire you.

    Beautiful Paper

`Tesco were doing a set of 10 fold card type cards, decent quality and range of colours. 10 cards and envelopes for under 4 euro. Then get decent type paper for insert section, again quite cheap. Source a templte for the print free online, and print and cut to size. You can get the silver/golds "wedding invitation" stickers in any good card shop, again a few euro for 25. THen use paper puncher and attach ribbon ffor effect on front. You should be easily make 100 invites (for 200 people) for under 50 euro? We got insane quotes from 500-1200 for 100 invites. We have a fefw mockup done already and to compare them to free samples from the above quoted prices, you cannot tell the difference. It just takes a bit of patience to assemble

Have a look at threelittlebears.co.uk. We got 60 day and 30 evening invites, 140 thank you cards, the cake topper and ring cushion for 130euro. We had spotted a me to you cake topper we loved and then decided to get me to you invites and guest book to match, make a theme of it. Need to get few more invites and guest book but there were out of stock at the minute. Great service and quick delivery.

i'm running a small company Wedding Centre, we do singing, photo services, invitation and thank you cards and wedding cake polymer clay toppers. all hand-made so we can discuss details to get them just right!

have a look at WeddingCentre.info or PM me for details re: how many do you need and when and if you have an idea for the design and I will send you a rough quote :)

we made our own. Yes it took a bit of time but it saved us a fair bit of money (and we got EXACTLY what we wanted) so I would seriously look at this route.

We did our own back in January, and I would recommend to every bride-to-be to look into making their own invits before spending a fortune to get them done.

We ordered 3 different models from DiyWedding.ie in December, like this we could try to make them ourselves and also try different look for the invits.
Once we made our decision on which model we wanted to use, we ordered 100 invits kit and it took us a saturday night to make them all.

On top of that, we want to Lantz in Dublin 2 and bought some stickers to finish off the look of the invits.

It cost us around 150 euros, which for us was reasonable as we got exactly the invits we wanted; and once we ordered the invits it only took us a week to receive them, make them and send them!

i got my invites from a seller on etsy, you can take a look at some photos of them here on my blog. i love them! they're just what i was looking for, a very simple, pretty invite on one sheet of card rather than the kind of card you open. the seller was tulaloo, she worked with me to make exactly the design i wanted and the end result was wonderful :)

i got 90 wedding invites and 40 afters invites for about €176 (it was $240 in total including postage from the states, and a $50 deposit). i didn't want RSVP cards or anything like that, but i know that tulaloo do make them and can basically tailor to what you need. it's worth having a look around on etsy, i know most of the sellers are based in the states, but it wasn't a problem for me, i was happy to pay the postage to have exactly what i was looking for at a pretty decent price :)

I bought 500 Linen White Card Blanks & Linen Card Envelopes from EBay for €60 (I can cut the excess cards in half, trim them back a little and have inserts for hotels / b&b's or evening invitations).

I spent a few hours in Illustrator & Photoshop

Spent €10 on a custom Calligraphy Font (So it's not the run of the mill free fonts you can find online)

Bought 2 Ink Cartridges for €60

Hopefully will start to print them this weekend. I expect that I can get them all done for €150 posted.

    Cheers

If you are based in Galway head on out to "An Siopa Buí" She gets all the stuff you need to make your own cards. She also has a class for couples to make a few different types of cards. Basically she is full of ideas and shows you how to create great cards. two thumbs up from me

we can compete with most of the websites listed here and the finish on our products means that there is nobody wondering if you made them yourself! lead time is 2-4 weeks, and we offer full packages etc which covers day and evening invites, rsvp's, thank you cards, personalised monogramed place cards. Prices start from €1.80 for invitations and €1 for accessory cards (rsvp/thank you/place cards).

what do you mean, put on the back? if you have all the wedding info in the invitation, and have included directions and RSVP then there really isn't anything else you need to include. You don't have to fill space just cos its there - once the info is all there then the job is done. And IMO the classiest and most impressive invites are the ones which aren't overly busy with print and info. Just have what you need, and leave it at that.

So far I have never had anyone want anything on the back of the invite - its the first I've ever heard of this, so I would say you're grand, jobs a goodun
