    Hi Guys ,

I am posting on behalf of the Macau because Ken asked me to contact the mods as they are still banned . Please instruct what questions are still to be answered and Ken and the Macau will respond accordingly when these are posted

    Regards

    Neill

Mods, there is a big thread in the poker mod forum on this if the new lads want to familiarise themselves with this issue.

Not trying to start an argument but here's 2 quotes from the thread:

I'm sure theres more but i'm not going looking for it :D

This is the most important post in this thread. We have many + and - arguments, most probably biased either way. People in general being told to p i s s off by the club and how nice the food is and the decor and whatever else should be put aside. My last job had me in Cork once a week for a couple of years, great club, Ken is sound, food is great, dont get on the wrong side of them yada yada, all mean nothing. The accusations here are

1 Somewhere in the region of 8k being held back from a club league.
2 Someone being banned from a league final with a pathetic excuse.
3 25K being won by the Stig , the man with no name etc etc.

If any of the above are true, well the future looks great.

Ken, can you come back in reply to the above, after all its your clubs reputation at stake here. Non response or '' I've learned my leason to keep my mouth shut since my ban'' is really not good enough. This should also see Corkie lose his 100 post bet if your quick enough
The biggest standing joke to come out of The Macau was the circumstances surrounding the "winning" of the Progressive Jackpot on the Casino Poker tables. It wasn't of particular concern to the Poker players but the Chinese were up in arms over it.

The Jackpot had risen to over €25k. To scoop the lot you had to be dealt a Royal Flush in the first 5 cards and have paid the Bonus Amount of €1 to qualify. The Jackpot was creating a big buzz for the Chinese.

So when they came in one Evening they were quite interested to see that the Jackpot had been won. They presumed it had been won by someone they knew.

They approached the management who told them that the Jackpot had been won earlier that day. They asked by whom. They were told that A Guest in The Metropole had picked a flyer in the Lobby and decided to check the place out while waiting for his lift to the airport. He appeared around lunchtime. He was told that they weren't open but they left him to look around. He then asked could he try out one of the table games. Seeing as he was a tourist and going home that afternoon they opened the Poker Table for him. He played one hand, got a Royal Flush scooped the €25k. Walked out the door with the cash and went straight to the airport.

The Chinese wanted to know who the dealer was and they were told that there was no staff on the premises just the manager as the place wasn't really open at the time.

The next day they asked to see the CCTV but were told that due to the fact the premises wasn't actually open they hadn't turned on the camera.

I'm not saying this didn't happen. I have no reason to believe that it didn't. I'm just using this an example of "Legitimate" excuses that have been used in the past. ( Approx odds of Royal Flush in 5 cards about 650k/1 )

Alot of the Chinese showed how credible they thought the story was.

Has the place gone to pot since that Scottish Manager left? I mean, I never heard any of this carry on while he was there like.

A club that bans people on a whim and refuses to enter into discussions (And I'm NOT talking about myself)about it is feeling hard done by because they got banned and no one will discuss it with them.

Seeing as you are demanding answers why don't you answer the questions that they refused to answer....

The Macau were made aware of this thread and told they must respond to the allegations relating to the missing money from the Club League. To date they have chosen to ignore this, until such time as they explain the irregularity they are banned from using the Poker forum to promote their club/events and have been banned from the Tournament forum.

From here on, discussion/ promotion of the Macau and any events being held there is no longer allowed on the Poker forum.

This looks like an answer to me......

Corkie why don't you just answer the question about the barring of P.M. the night of the League final because he was supplying a food service in a rival casino.

well as u know Kevin ( Moro man) i thought barring peter was petty but that's life for u .and when u came over to club last year and your friends left u outside alone i came out to talk to u and that's life as well as we are friends .
as for league money well i told u Wat i thought as to were that went not that it would matter to u as your gone from club a good few years now but u still like to keep your hand in ha HA and not just because u have any friends in the other club who look after u well that u come on here and try to make things bad for poor ken and the macau .

every body who goes to the macau know Wat happened to the money then and things have changed with the way the league works now and for the better .

i myself have made my feelings known on the subject with loads of other players who go into the macau with ken and were all happy with the result
and we dont need anybody else like yourself who has no reason to be involved trying to stir the sh** really .

I'm not **** stirring in pointing out the bully boy way they treat their customers and the dishonest way in which they run their business.

I find it very funny the way you always defend them.

I can remember in the days when I was still a customer of theirs Ken showed me a cheque that a builder had given him. In his inimitable fashion he said " that ***** cheques are as dodgy as ****, it'll probably bounce, he's a ****ing clown "

Nice way to run a business, discretion assured:rolleyes:

As in keeping with the above Any chance of deleting this thread as it serves no purpose other than opening up old wounds. And if Big Slick want to ask questions of the mods they should just use the Private Message route

I am locking this ontill I do some back reading.

Right I have just spent the last 45 min getting myself up to speed on this, not a great way to be spending ones Saturday night.

The ban still stands on all Macau events, boards does not ask for anything for the advertisement of tournament's but we do feel that our members should be protected. Some issues were brought up and appear to have some merit,we asked for a reply at the time but the Macau decided for whatever reason not to reply.

What is required to clear this up has been relayed to the Macau several times by the past mods and has not changed.I am not a fan of dragging up old threads so I think a new one is required,if the Macau are prepared to face up to the questions and properly deal with them then we can start a new thread after which the poker mods and the Admins will discuss things further.

Here is a link to the thread that has most of the questions.

Too right Dub13, we've always said the same things. The ball is in their court and it can be cleared up if they so wish.

Corkie, are you officially speaking for the club or are you a bystander? I've no problem with either but I think you should be clear about your involvement.

    DeV.
