    Just a quick question. Is this just a standard dig or would you think anything of any significance is being explored?

    There were small burial chambers found near this area around 15 years ago. I remember it well.

    Commercial archaeology firm Headland Archaeology has recruited 17 new employyes for work on the Stephenstown industrial lands project in Dublin.

    This project, in association with Fingal County Council, involves archaeological excavation ahead of industrial development.

    It required the recruitment of 17 additional archaeologists, consisting of 15 site assistants and two supervisors.

    Work commenced in January this year on the 8-acre site is located to the south of Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, in land zoned for industrial development off the new Balbriggan Outer Relief Road, and will be ongoing until mid March.

    I dont think you can really judge it by the amount of people hired to do the job. However, if there are features there and a history of archaeology then they may come up with something....but it depends on how deep they need to go etc....

    its impossible to judge from the info you've given.
