If there was one thing that you would/could bring back from your childhood/teen years, what would it be? Could be anything; food, tv shows etc etc.

For me, its gotta be the Lucky Charms. Why did they stop selling them in Ireland? :(

Ah nostalgia, its just not what it used to be.

I'd bring back Zig and Zag, I pity modern children who will grow up thinking a zogabong is some kind of exotic drug paraphernalia.

Good cartoons-MASK, Mysterious Cities of Gold, Jimbo and The Jetsetters, Fraggle Rock(wasn't a cartoon but was damn good).
They just don't make them like they used to.

You guys know that all these old TV shows are on the internet, right? You can see them whenever you want.

Also, you can buy classic game consoles on-line. I've got a SNES and a Megadrive (right now I'm plying Shining force II).

Maccaroon bars, cadet lemonade, actually having change from a 1 pound coin, gaa jerseys that actually fit nicely, when only rich knobs and Limerick people played rugby, Division 1 was actually Division 1, good radio stations, James Bond films in the middle of the week, when Questions and Answers was topical, Blackboard Jungle and Challenging Times - these were the reasons why I thought college might be worth something.

    Lemon Calippos.
Nothin like it on a hot summers day.
When it got to the end youd have to drink the last part - sweet and tangy!!:)

Yeah but they ain't the same nowadays. Remember when you were younger and you used to make sure you were us early to catch the new episode of whatever it was. It was just the sheer excitement.

I've been meaning to get myself a couple of those old consoles actually.

Tapes! If you made a mixed tape for someone, it took effort - chucking a couple of mp3s on a usb stick just isn't the same thing.

It'd have been alright if every scumbag on OCS hadn't used it as their personal rubbish bin. As such it was a good decision to get rid of it.

At least the pigeons have the excuse of not fully realising what they're doing when they sh1t on a statue. No such excuse for 'human' scum for littering however.

    Nostalgia; when do you start!

My 10 year old is already claiming that cartoon network was better in the "old days" (2006) words fail me!

    /facepalm

The cheap German apple juice Quinnsworth used to sell, tasted better than any of this fresh pressed cloudy crap we get now.

    All the old soft drinks.

Shopping up North and having the craic with the British soldiers on the border (not a sarcastic comment)

Those massive cone shaped bags of marshmallows.

I had a game where all you did was mow grass in different gardens.

At the time the family used to gather round the TV and fall about laughing at how realistic the graphics were .. this was around '84.

Those really cheap mini-pizzas, four of them in a packet.

Perfect for after the bath on a saturday to watch McGyver

Really? I don't even think the graphics of today platforms look that realistic or impressive ( and I grew up on the c64 - so I certainly didn't think that particular computers graphics looked anyway real at the time either.)
