What's Your Favourite Breakfast?

I've got an unbelievable craving for an Irish Breakfast at the moment. There's absolutely nothing in the fridge so I'll have to wait for the shop to open at 8am. I'm just going to have to order a Breakfast Roll at this stage as it's too much hassle to make it (won't be able to wait anyway). I'll probably end up getting some like this (with pudding of course) Nice and messy. Yum!!

Normally in the mornings it's just boring Weetabix and coffee as I don't have time for anything else. Sometimes if I've time I'll buy a BR alright. Irish Breakfast FTW!!

Ultimately, as long as it involves a big mug of black coffee, it's a good breakfast. ;)

+1 for black coffee. Can't leave the house in the morning without it (and a smoke).

I'm guessing you have black teeth. Nothing like a good fry up in the morning!

superquinn sausages they are the best. one thing i will say though is most places now the rashers go all white with scum. very hard to get the proper rashers without the water curing. german bacon is the real deal. if you can get it.

O'Donovan's Sausages? They're a Cork sausage, so not sure if you can get them in Dublin.

My breakfast roll was absolutely delicious btw.:)

well the pork sausages from the country are the best.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,678 ✭✭✭✭kowloon

Sausages, Fried eggs, scramble egg, black pudding, rashers, really soft fresh bread and proper butter. All with a pot of tea. These are the essentials, anything else that can be thrown on is good though.

My Corn Flakes seem very inadequate now.

Some of the local butchers make the best sausages, but can be expensive. Must give the Superquinn ones a try sometime. I find Clonakilty too salty or something.

I used to be part of this train of thought, but now I've settled for beans in a bowl beside the fry so I have the option of them if I want!I used to hate them on the plate mixing with all the other elements!

Nothing beats a full Irish, though churros are really nice.

Right now, I'm eating a yoghurt for breakfast. :(

A good big bowl of stirabout.

If there were sausages or black pudding to be eaten, clonakilty is all that will do, everything else is inferior

Thank God nobody has waded in yet to say porridge - 'cause of the health benefits ya'know.

Best indulgent breakfast - thick pancakes and maple syrup and crispy bacon.

    Served to you in bed.

Scrambled eggs (4 with salt and pepper but no milk or anything else mixed in), about half a chilli pepper (finely chopped) thrown into the pan a few seconds before the eggs, all on flour tortillas.
    Best scrambled eggs ever!

Wow - I've only ever had proper waffles once and they were amazing! And that was without chocolate in the middle.
Okay - I want to swap my pancakes for waffles please.
