Thread about 3G routers, there's also the Dovado thread, or you could also try a mobile Wifi (Mifi) router, if you need it to be portable.

For home use, the non-mobile routers are probably a better idea.

I think those 3 routers are locked to 3 network

I would recommend the Dovado. We got ours from Commsoft and are extremely pleased with it. Not only will it work with virtually any USB modem, but it is extremely reliable and feature-rich. Other routers we have tried have tended to crash or hang, not the Dovado.

My only gripes are: at €130 it's expensive for a 3G router, and it looks ugly.

We have been using the Dovado without a Y cable, and never had any issues. Are you sure you need a Y cable? If you do, you can probably find one on eBay.
