Threads like this have been tried before in various guises across a couple of different forums but have all ended up the same,ie some douche posts porn/nudey pics and thread gets locked.Id like to think that this time would be different but I wouldnt bet on it.

Personally I think this could fail because some men insist on putting up the ladies in next to nothing where there are plenty of pics where the ladies are still sexy but showing a little less.

You see its not that its an issue per se,but that one of Gianna Michaels is one step away from topless/total nudity.One person see's that pic posted and thinks I will show one with her boobs out,sure its not much different.

to be fair just because a womans naked does not neescerilly mean in any it's lewd..... While yes a lot of pictures could be considered procative pose's, a woman or man whos photographed nude can be considered art.

I really don't like the idea of it - I don't think it brings anything useful to the forum, and there's already a whole internet full of it. I'm most likely in the minority with that opinion though. Scantily dressed girls are all well and good, but I don't think this is the forum for it.

Meh - with all due respect, I don't really care if another forum has a thread for half naked men. That's up to them, it doesn't mean this forum needs an equivalent. It's extra hassle on the moderators, and it's just about everywhere else on the internet...

OK I promised a proper reply to you in the above post which I edited.

Firstly, this idea was discussed not that long ago, and it was decided after consideration that this type of thread was not suitable for the Gentlemens Club forum. There are several issues that were brought up, namely, the history of such threads turning into massive big messes, and, is it really something that "fits" with the ethos of the forum. It was decided by consensus among the mods that it wasn't something we were willing to roll with, and the idea was put to bed. This thread has reignited that discussion among the Mods and we'll let you know as soon as we can regarding how that pans out.

Dealing specifically with your post above, can I just say that in my opinion, you set out deliberately to push the boundaries of whats acceptable and whats not. There is a whole internet full of pictures of gorgeous women, wearing clothes, that you could have posted, yet you decided to post a picture of an admittedly cute girl, with a bathrobe about to fall off her. Such pictures have merit, but, it is not something that I can forsee ever being allowed here. In fact I struggle to think of any public forum on boards.ie that would allow that pic. There is a private forum for such NSFW pics alright.

If you wish to take that issue up further, I suggest you contact a member of the site admin team who can fully explain to you, boards policy regarding this, and if they wish, they can then take things up with me personally. If they think that such an image is suitable, then I'll have no issue with them amending the edited post appropriately.

I will also add, that what happens on other fora on this website is none of my concern. How the Mods of the Ladies Lounge do things and how we do things here are of no connection really. This is the Gentlemens Club, a separate forum with different Mods, ethos and intent. Tbh, i'm pretty sick of this line being trotted out repeatedly that we should be allowed do this, that or the other because the girls and guys over there do it. As moderators, our role is to do what we see as best for the forum WE moderate. If thats not acceptable to users there are various actions that users can partake in.

Simply saying that because something happens on a separate forum to this one, it should happen here is not a good enough reason. Its like when you make a request for a new forum to be created. Precedence doesn't matter. Just because there is a forum for one TV show doesn't mean there should be one for another.

I'm gong to stop now, as I don't want to go on too much. If anyone wants to discuss anything I've written further, then feel free to get in touch via PM. Please also copy in the other moderators of this forum in on such a PM, just for the sake of clarity.

I would ask that posters respect the sitewide rule of boards.ie ( and in fact most online fora) and not discuss moderation decisions on-thread.
