i have a bet on that Harrington, McIlroy, Westwood and Kaymer will all win their matches. odds approx 2.5/1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,087 ✭✭✭Trampas

    These matches are always tight.

PH record in this tourney isn't great.

I would have thought he would have a much better record

2 QF in 10 times playing in it

    4 times first round loser

A European to win, Stenson for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,512 ✭✭✭stevire

    McIlroy to win at 17.5/1
    Fisher to win at 34/1

Kaymer top 4 finish at 6/1
Fisher top 4 finish at 9/1

Fisher is one of the best match-play golfers around, playing well so far this year so hopefully he comes out on top for this one!! :D

    quiros 40/1

Poor enough price for a 4 timer.

No one going for ogilvy? Great track record in this tourney.

he's 33-1 (9th in betting so not a huge outsider, 16/1 the field without woods and lefty)

yes you guys are right - not sure why I thought r.fisher was an outsider - i'm going r.fish and molinari as a rank outsider

Both Molinari's at 150's on betfair, backed them both hoping for a trade.
Both in the same quarter though.

Gone with McIllroy, Allenby and Weir.

Thought Weir was massively overpriced @130 on Betfair considering he has been playing very well.

aboy the lads. All having a big punt on the golf. Fair play to ye all.

McIlroy 3 down thru 4. Lost the par 3 3rd to a bogey, but Na has also made an eagle and a birdie to win the other 2 holes.

Rory's having a fight back. Was 4 down now back to 2 after 8 holes.

First match over. Ben Crane through after Henrick Stenson conceeded due to flulike symptoms.

Great comeback by Rory, to win the 1up after being 4down after 6 holes.
Hopefully Harrington can make a move , he's 2 down with 4 to go.

Spoke too soon, still in it, 2 down, 2 to play. He isn't playing well, but never does at the start of the year. A matchplay tourney isn't really what he should be playing imo.

finished now, he never looked like he was going to get anywhere. Rory goes through though.

Great comeback from McIlroy, fair play. Harrington's matchplay record is really poor, shouldn't be too surprised I guess.

Poulter is 14/1 now and after todays results he looks to have a good chance of winning his quarter.

It doesn't look right. I was expecting him to tee it up of the red teebox for a moment.

Did people see the interview with Casey when it turned to Weir and how he destroyed Quiros

Yeah, sure he said himself yesterday he wasn't happy with his swing. His body language was totally dejected, despite winning. Who knows though. Best of luck aster.

Kaymer and Oggie today backed them yesterday so giving another go today

    other is Poulter with Cink

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 948 ✭✭✭SSK

Have tenners e/w on Rory, Ogilvy and Poulter (and Quiros :o...the less said about that the better!). Happy enough so far but Rory and Poulter gave me a few scares last night.

Mike Weir was scarily good with his irons though, did I hear them say 8 or 9 birdies in the first 11 holes or something

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,591 ✭✭✭✭Aidric

McIlroy gone, lost on the 20th hole to Wilson.
