    Hi,

How difficult is it to go from 11 to 7-9% Body Fat?

How long would it take? At the moment I am training and doing some sort of exercise around 5/6 times a week.

    Thanks,

    Np

if your 11 bf at 150lbs then

    11% of 150 = 16.5 lbs bf
    150 - 16.5 = 133.5 lbm
    7% of 133.5 = 9.34

so you'd need to lose nearly 7 lbs of only fat, which, would maybe take you from anywhere between
5 -10 weeks, depending on how low your after going with your calories.Might even take you months.

To get to single digits in BF usually requires a very strict diet and proper training regime. Its impossible to predict how long it would take.

If you post up your diet and training routine, some of the more knowlegdeable people here might suggest ways to improve them for you.

I'm not sure but I'd recommend you cut out the mars bars. Wouldn't want to turn into a "fatty" now would you?

No I wouldn't want to turn into a 'fatty'. I don't think anyone wants to be fat, its not exactly good for your health.

Yes diet is fine, it was never bad in the first place, except I didn't have enough Protein in my diet, as was pointed out.

Doing a lot of exercise, and have increased my protein Intake, eating a lot more fish like salmon/tuna etc...have also started, well about a month ago using Protein Shakes.

Getting an assessment on Monday to see if I have gotten my body fat down since I last got it checked.

Still in the planning phase? No I actually take advice that people offer on boards and put it into practice. The only thing that I was doing wrong was not having enough Protein in my diet.

Cheeky Gal eat your Mars bar - I don't mind, enjoy your 289 calories!!

Emmm... I think cheeky gal was being sarcastic??? That's what this  means y'know...

I still don't get the point of this thread - you didn't even know what your body fat was 3 weeks ago, you have since had it measured and found it was 11% - you now say you are doing everything right, you have an almost perfect 'ribbed' body, and you are getting it checked again next week. So why do you need people on here to tell you how fast you will get to 7-9%? The only person who can tell you anything new is the one holding the calipers. In all honesty, I think maybe you just want another opportunity to brag about your low body fat. Why not I guess, if my body fat was that low I would probably bring it up whenever possible too ;)

Exactly, this is a pointless thread considering it was all answered on the other one!
