I got one of these from ebuyer when they were posted a while back and spent nearly the same amount on a monitor. I'd definitely grab another if the screen was free with it... any chance the 19M thing is an unhappy coincidence though?

Didn't the one from Ebuyer only have 1gb memory and linux installed. This one has 2gbs memory and Windows Vista Premium.

On other sites that model number (92.G1EYZ.Ufp) doesn't include a monitor.

True indeed DonJose, it only had the 1GB and some basic operating system (some sort of linux?); ubuntu or the more mainstream linuxes had to be put on separately. The 2GB is definitely a bonus but the monitor would really sweeten the deal... thanks for the post!

Where are you seeing "Acer Revo Mini Desktop PC 19in M ONE COLOUR ONE SIZE"?
It shows up as "Acer mini desktop PC" for me but there is a " + " in the model number

If you scroll over the model number it shows "92.G1EYZ.Ufp + ET.CP3WE.021"

    The ET.CP3WE.021 is a 19in monitor.

Is it eligible for free upgrade to Windows 7?

I think that offer was limited to purchases made by 31st Jan 2010?

Is this the same Revo 3600 from the other thread just with 2GBs of RAM, Vista and more than likely the inclusion of that Monitor is by mistake?

    - Do these usually end in the Company involved refusing to ship?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,785 ✭✭✭✭Paul Tergat

    Cheers OP, just ordered one.

The price is really good when you consider there's a monitor too.

Couple of prices for just the pc without monitor:

    http://www.saverstore.com/product/20031030/Acer-Aspire-Revo-R3600-Nettop-PC

    http://www.aceroutlet.com/PRD_ProductDetail.aspx?cid=0&ProdID=4029

    250 Sterling.

and play have it at nearly 300 sterling : http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/9606805/Acer-Aspire-Revo-Intel-Atom-N230-1-6GHz-2GB-160GB-Vista-Home-Premium-Nettop-Desktop-PC/Product.html

And then the monitor as the OP said was about 140 Sterling so for this price it really is a cheap piece of kit

Looks like a pricing mistake as the same model sells on the UK site for £499. It is the same Revo as the other thread but with Vista and 2gbs memory. Littlewoods screwed up prices before and it was hit and miss on whether you received the order or not. Some idiots place 10 orders hoping to resell on ebay, this usually triggers an alarm which ruins it for everyone!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,105 ✭✭✭ectoraige

    7day returns anyway!!!

IIRC the returns guarantee doesn't apply with them if you open the packaging.

Just ordered one a few mins ago. Got an order confirmation number but no confirmation email yet.

Would be great if we also get the monitor!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,383 ✭✭✭peckerhead

Fork me, glad I got in there before FredH3ad! :D

I'm also saving a screencap of the webpage with the "92.G1EYZ.Ufp + ET.CP3WE.021" bit showing...

I ordered one yesterday, waited for it to dispatch before posting here mainly due to idiots ordering 10 and ruining it for everyone.

    Thanks OP.

Worth a try anyway. I don't really expect it to be honoured after the 70 quid pc with monitor fiasco of last year...but you never know!:P

I called their support just there and was put through to someone in the English call centre.

She didn't seem too sure to be honest but she checked my account and said it had gone through ok. I asked if she could confirm the price was right and she said all they do is look it up on the website and it was €189 so as far as she was concerned it is the correct price.

    The waiting game begins...

why not? if it is an error they will find out, as has been proven in the past. I dont wanna sit and wait around for them just to tell me a week later that its actually 500 quid and do i then want it...

Sounds like you're delibertly trying to draw attention to it- that person will probably be curious as to why you felt so bothered that you had to ring her- and might mention it to a colleague- and before you know it- there would be a whole investigation and all our orders would be cancelled..........

Its the way of the world............

See, I like this, I like this about some people who have common sense, buy 1(not 10)!, leave the proper bargain for a day then post it up, proper smart ;)

....and then you have people like this, why draw attention to it!? Keep it on the down-low son! Shes probably going to ask her manger for assistance now, then the alarm bells go off, then bargain cancelled more than likely..? Silly...

i think from now on bargains like this will be more and more likely to be kept a secret if people don't understand that you have to deal with them in a certain way

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,706 ✭✭✭Voodu Child

I just ordered 20 of them*.

And I also rang them up and asked them if the price was wrong because it seems way too cheap. She said she assumed it was the right price and my order was fine, but I kept insisting it was way too cheap, so she said she would put a hold on all current orders and check with the manager*.

*Nah, I didn't really... But you know theres always going to be someone who does!

I just ordered one - It actually says on one of the Checkout screens that "this order will be shipped directly from the Supplier"

    - I think if it wasn't for Gordon Greedy and Mr. Littlewoods Voluntary Customer Care Rep 2010 we might just have had a chance :(

Bargain Alerts Permaban and Island of Ireland Ban called for...... Mail them a link to the thread why don't ya???

I didnt just call asking about the price, I needed to sort out a payment with them and asked about the price after. meh

If it is a price error they will find out about it. Its happened before and they just cancelled all orders. As I said, knowing now would beat sitting around and being told a week later its an error. If you think they won't find out anyway then its you who are 'silly'
