(The 3 X's has nothing to do with the Lingerie Bowl, just wanted to highlight the extreminess of this thread, sorry frappers)

The only thing i have done is a sky dive which was great craic but probably not enough craic to pay the ridiculous amount of money to do it again. Not a big extreme sports guy, in fact i dont even like rollercoasters, but there is only one thing i would be interesting in doing which is Zorbing, which seems a lot more fun and safer thing to do on a hill than this.

So what crazy extreme sports have the boardies adrenaline junkies undertaken? and do you have any massive fail stories?

Is that where you iron your boxers while you're wearing them in the bath and use an iron that has its wires exposed?

If the running of the bulls is a sport then so is La Tomatina, I was at that and I assumed I won, everyone else gave up but I stayed throwing tomatoes at people for two more days.

    Savoy Cinema.

Upstairs, when your watching a movie in Screen 2, 3 or 4.

Come out and if nobody's about, slide down the Gold Center Rail.

Whips you down so fast you nearly scoot clear over the little balcony thing.

Be careful, get caught and you're sure to die of embarrassment.

    I'm not surprised.

Been there twice and the place was near empty.

Why don't you get some placards and a bucket and protest the closure?

"Down with this sort of thing, Save the Savoy" ;)

Swords is great if you want a whole cinema to yourself.

Just buy a ticket to the Mezz during a weekday and there is never anyone there.

    Leather recliners too :)

I've sky dived, bungee jumped, rock climed and hang gliding. I'm dying to do a shark cage and base jumping is something i'd love to get into.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,908 ✭✭✭Alkers

    Pretty poor list tbh
Rock climbing isn't really too extreme, done it anyway as well as:
    Downhill Mountain Biking
Was in a Zapcat a couple of times, insane!
    Abseiling,
    White Water Rafting,
    BMXing,
    Roller Blading,
probably a few more that I've skipped over, haven't done any of the base jumping, sky diving etc... Love to give them a go though.

Holy fcuk, I never in my life even dreamed of doing any of that. I would be in fear of my life.

I wouldn't mind doing the shark cage thing, as I have a love for nature and the likes.

I went rock climbing when I was in the Cubs, which involved me pissing my pants and crying while the instructor had to pull me up the side of a cliff on his own, luckily I wasn't a chubby child.

I went recently to a place in Naas somewhere, that was mad craic. Very very tyring though...

Seriously, what in the foook is that guy taking? He didn't climb up that cliff, he ran up it. Ha.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,721 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

    Solo climbing is mad stuff.
I'd love to get to that level of climbing, I've only just gotten the hang of bouldering... So it's gonna be a while. haha

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,410 ✭✭✭twinytwo

i cant believe no one has mentioned the most extreme sport of them all

    ie cheeserolling:pac:

Have to say base jumping is about as extreme as it gets

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 35,738 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

Cheese rolling looks like the bomb. Nobody caught the cheese though...

I've only done a few of the more pansyish 'extreme' sports like sky-diving, abseiling and kloofing.
