If/when the PW-E is known anyone who fancies it can put their horse/s up against the RP selection/s

One rule - the pick must be no shorter than PW-E when you make the selection.

I'm going with Baileys Benchmark in the 3-00. Its got everything going for it in my new random selection v pwe method.
    Its an illiteration.
    Its number 13.
Its the form selection in the Daily Star.
Its been backed.... 10/1 to 8/1.

    Can't lose.
    Lost! PWE +2.5 Me -1

First pick is an interesting one, two horses at the head of the market, 6.00 bar.

    MARKET RASEN 2.00

    PW-E pick is Ranjobaie @ 3.50 win
My pick is Sandynow @ 6.00 unplaced

Did you mean it has to be the same race?

    He did surely.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

If its not the same race its not a PW-E challange! :)

Ah........ OK. I thought you just meant picking more winners than PWE. I couldn't really oppose that one today because it ticked all the boxes. It was supported and nothing was backed against it.
It should be easy tomorrow......... Mels back!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,135 ✭✭✭POINTBREAK

I'm going for Expensive Problem 2-55. It was 12/1 and now 7. PWE Horse Bennelong is about the same price.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Thats a HT pick today, as you have picked it I'll go for I Confess @ 17.00!

  • Moderators Posts: 8,755 ✭✭✭x PyRo

Erinjay for me, best horse in the race and is progressive on this surface and this is its distance.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

x PyRo, read the top post, there is a condition to make it harder than picking favs! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,135 ✭✭✭POINTBREAK

Someone has just PMed me with a theory that that guy Golfing is Mel Collier!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

I Confess drifted out to 21s clearly not fancied, edit its back in to 17.00

Bennelong out to 10s from 8

Erinjay would of won but gave away 10 lengths at the start.

    Nice one.......... about 11/1

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

    x PyRo wins that one! @ 13.00, I confess 3rd @ 17.00, Expensive Problem unplaced

    PW-E selection Bennelong unplaced

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,135 ✭✭✭POINTBREAK

Mike, there might be a flaw here in the sense that if its an 8 horse race and everyone picks a different horse we obviously must get the winner if just 8 people take part.

  • Moderators Posts: 8,755 ✭✭✭x PyRo

Doubt there'll be that many posting up their opinions tbh, doesn't seem to be many interested in the Horses.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

As above :) Its only a bit of fun, not a league. I didn't pick what had already been mentioned as part of the challange (and cos I confess was overpriced)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

    PW-E selection is Kempton 18:00 Classic Blue @ 7.00

My pick is Sazeilla @ 41.00 its a Czech sprint winner unexposed on flat in Britain could be interesting :)

    Farncombe @ 16.00

Same Jockey as the winner i picked yesterday, he's claiming 5lbs here again, although the horse has stamina doubts over this trip but i'll take a chance on it with a few euro e/w!. Nothing major!.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 4,210 ✭✭✭argosy2006

Cossack prince, Needs to be ew at that price, he's as bad as rest of this field so could have a chance,
someone bout to pick winner if every horse is picked,
maybe yee should agree on a horse to take on the pw selection, that would be more interesting,,You all seem to have good knowledge of horse racing,so would be great to see an agreed pick.

    PW-E

    1.45 Southwell Drumpellier 5.50 unplaced
    2.00 Kempton Dover’s Hill 4.00 placed

    1.45 Eight Hours 5.50 win
    2.00 Superior Wisdom 5.00 faller

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

    Southwell 1.45

    Singingintherain @ 7.00

Provided taking to the surface, ran at 7f at lingfield wfich could give an edge on a slow fibresand 6f. Fanning on board. "Needs to raise game" but then he is 6/1.

    Kempton 2.00

    Sunsetten @ 15/2

Have backed this animal before at Aintree when running to a place. Ran behind Zabeel Palace LTO and looks like it would jump a fence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

    Excellent Mike.

    Very well done!

Oh right, thought you got the double up there for a minute

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

    My two,

    2.10 - Cocktail Party @ 15.00
    3:30 - Warne's Way @ 13.00

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,065 ✭✭✭j@utis

I'd pick 3:30 Eillen Tilley but odds are a bit short: 8.00 at the moment.

There's not much choice left to be honest from anything higher than pwe odds. And Truly Divine was tipped by HT last month, 5-yo and not a single win, oh what a nag :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,135 ✭✭✭POINTBREAK

    Tune up the Band 2.10

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

    PW-E in bold

    Wolvers 2.10
    Truly Divine 5th
    Tune Up The Band 7th
    Meikle Barfil 9th
    Cocktail Party 10th

    Plumpers 3.30
    Ellen Tilley 6th

    Lingfield 4.00

    My pick is Murrin @11.00

  • Moderators Posts: 8,755 ✭✭✭x PyRo

    4:00 Lingfield - Grand Honour @ 15.00

Weighted to win this, ran well in last two races and this is his best trip, good jockey on board. Has place claims at least.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Forward Feline the PW-E pick first weakened then shortened just before the off and finished 3rd.

Murrin finish 6th and Grand Honour 7th

Might have to change the rules?........... lol

If I could pick a shorter one it would be The Chosen One at 7/1 from 10/1

Since I cant.......... the lucky dart says.....First Order at 66/1 all it has to do is reproduce the form of Dec 2008 when it won off a mark of 75

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,135 ✭✭✭POINTBREAK
