    15"?
Nah, 13" - the 15" would've been nice, but it's a lot of money for the increased screen size/resolution (considering that the addition of a dedicated GPU in the 15" would've gone largely unused for my purposes :().

    Mishap's first EP!

Aaaand... The last copy of Looking For Alaska in stock in Eason's. I was debating between this and Paper Towns and I ended up getting this.

I've been meaning to get this for ages and finally got around to it today when I just happened to spot it in the new Easons that's just opened here.

Also got this one 2 weeks ago to bring to Sweden with me and it ended up getting completely soaked during one of the huge thunder-showers but I think I've managed to dry it out and it is currently being weighed down by a marble chobbing board and a really heavy metal sellotape holder to straighten the pages out and flatten the whole thing down. I'll get back around to reading it at some point....if it hasn't fallen apart by then.....

    My boyfriend bought me this.
I do enjoy murder books so hopefully it'll be a good read.:)

Just spent €70 on thebookdepository, and then purchased a ticket to see The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in the Grand Canal Theate with RTE concert orchestra, RTE Cor na nOg and Our Ladys Choral playing the music. Unfortunately I probably won't get to see The Antlers, but I think I'll get over it :D

Very good, there's only 3 songs on it (Fake, Control, Leave Him Alone), I was hoping for their older(ish) songs like Hypnotized though. The songs that are on it all sound pretty well recorded!

I know, yer wan in Easons gave me a weird look at the counter. She probably thought it was a Twilight-y girly kind of book. Not that I have anything against guys who read Twilight.

Nah, the old one was still pretty girly just generally aesthetically nicer! (Black with a white flower on it, got it about 2/2 and half years ago?)

    I always liked this cover.

Probably wanted to differentiate between all the other 'black with symbolic item' covers populating the shelves. Even Wuthering Heights has gotten an updated Twilight inspired cover...

This is the one I have and is clearly the best >_> (Because being competitive over which cover of a book you have is a thing! I HAVE THE BLUE/DARK MARGO VERSION OF PAPER TOWNS)

    looking-for-alaska.jpg

Anyone else manage to read An Abundance of Katherines?
As much as I love John Green, that book was awful....

I don't see why they changed it from the old cover, the one with the Printz award printed on it. Surely if your novel won an award you'd want to let people know about it?

Also, Fad's cover is the nicest :P you'd have to read a good bit into the book before you realise it's not just some pointless doodling of a flower though.

The Printz award is an American award though, it means little or nothing to Irish/European readers.

Oh, I used to read those books aswell!!

Only when I read them there was only 7 or 8 books, not 12 :P

I read them too (despite them not being girly...at all)! I think I've read them all except the one most recently released, just felt no desire to buy it after making myself get the previous ones.../pointless fact.

Great books! Kinda disappointed with this one so far (2/3 way through), feels like an anti climax
That said plot was never the series strong point :p

(Having seen what comes up when you search for this on Google Image I'm not sure I want to see it...)

    Both Kill Bills (Omnomnom sales)

    and

    skullcandy-titan-black-and-green.jpg
(I just wanted a pair of decent-ish in ears that will hopefully be somewhat robust...They have excellent noise isolation which is the best thing really, if I want mad high quality sound I'll use headphones, just my pair aren't exactly overly portable)
