My nails are dry, brittle, ridged and constantly bend and snap. I have tried every form of nail strengthener and none of them work:(. I have taken hair and nail supplements and all I get from them is a yeast infection(YUK!) I am convinced the problem is dietary. My diet is low in calcium and I eat very little red meat. Could this be the problem. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I'd try to increase the amount of protein in your diet. If you are not getting much calcium, include more, or take a supplement. Gelatin is generally considered a good supplement for strong nails (also for painful joints).

If you don't like meat, try eating lots of oily fish.

A few months ago I started eating bee-pollen and chlorella and my nails are longer and stronger than they have ever been. I cant say for sure whic one has made them stronger tho I suspect its the bee-pollen. It'll do you good to try them both anyway:)
