It's called Valeria.Tim Henriques came up with it
has different levels of depending on how strong you are and looks something like this

    Bench Press:x 21 reps
    Deadlift: x 21 reps
    Pull-ups: x 21 reps
EZ Bar Curls: x 21 reps

weights determined by the level you are at.

The pull ups would be the part that's destroy me, particularly seeing as they are strict/non-kipping pull ups.

anyone tried it or have any thoughts on it

No but I think we should have a little contest with it

I'd love to be able to do it but the 21 pull ups, even at BW would take me ages.
my best pull ups workout at BW so far has been 4 sets of 4 reps.

tnation seem to be doing quite a bit of borrowing from crossfit these days

Looks grand really - depends on the weight as if it was body weight on some of those it would be fairly quick to be honest

I think in crossfit broken sets are ok, ie you just need to be able to do 21 for the workout not in a row, 7x3 etc

@transform: well it is getting ripped season and crossfit is in fashion

You could write that any way you wanted. How's about this workout:
    Bench press 3x7
    Pull ups 7x3
    Deadlift 3x7
    EZ Curls 3x7

Suddenly it looks less "Crossfit" doesn't it? It's all the same really. In any given workout you're either doing "a few", "some" or "lots" of reps. Sexing it up by giving it a name like Brangelina doesn't change the laws one bit.

    :DFunny stuff.

My only opinion on any of this.
