Because of downloading tracks, copying stuff off other people, Christmas pressies and simply having too much stuff still unlistened to, it's been the best part of six months since I actually bought an album - The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers.

Massive Attack - Heligoland on pre-order. The last album I bought and listened to was The Decemberists - The Hazards of Love, really great album too. A bit of a return to prog-rock and a lot of the songs sound kind of the same, but I love it..

Last album I bought was Ratt's new album, Infestation. Gotta admit, I went in with pretty low expectations, but I was delighted to find myself blown away. It was most definitely the Ratt I knew and loved, but with a slick, tough and modern sheen that would make them very palatable to the newer/younger/modern rock and metal fans out there.

A snip at €13 in HMV.
