I don't think its a matter of loosening up, its more that you've done so much the previous day that its very sore when lifting...

well ya, thats what i was doing yesterday but theres only so much you can do with legwork and its not worth going to the gym for less than an hour...

Most recommend no more than an hour. My workouts are particularly short, I do them at home so have no real issue with feeling the need to get "value for money" or going all that way for 15mins work.

I'd be inclined to agree. You do as much work as you can do, not to a time. You know yourself what your capable of. If you're that sore maybe you're lifting too much in a go?

    No one's mentioned cardio?

Cardio / boxing / spinning class etc.

If you dont want to do cardio, I'd take a break, becuase if you do weights when sore, you'll be even sorer for your next planned workout day!

    • Eat well
    • Sleep more
    • Rest e.g. read a book
    • Active recovery e.g Go for a walk, Swim, Foam rolling
    • Train some other body part. Do you only train chest & arms?

if i get you right you are beginner or you are on no carb diet? choose better program, for example do chest and tris, delts on monday and then next day you can do back, bis... go on push/pull program
Drink lot of water, amino acids and in few week your muscle get used to it. ;)

    P.S. dont forget about legs

I don't think so. Just reduce your volume and lift again.

Just take a day off or do cardio, patience is the word. The pain will soon subside.
