How I Plan To Stop The Recession, House The Homeless, & Create Jobs For Irish...

Topic Continued : For Irish, Polish, & Americans.

Ok hear me out, out of nowhere i've gotten the best idea ever.

We all know the Grand Canyon right? Well, i say somebody negotiates a deal to sell a bit at the back, close end to Vegas, And heres my step by step plan.

1. On Said Plot Of Land, BUILD YOUR FLAMIN APARTMENTS THERE, THERES MORE ROOM THAN THERE IS LEFT IN ALL OF IRELAND.

2. Seeing as how the Polish like to flock by the millions to other countries to work, they'll be alerted of the jobs there, and move on to the states!

3. With the Polish now out of Ireland, this will free up millions of jobs in Ireland, allowing the Irish to get a job, & Save the Social Welfare billions on dole, thus, saving the Irish economy.

4. With said Polish gone, houses and countless apartments here will be freed up, mostly around Smithfield, Ballymun & Tallaght. The corporation can move the homeless into these apartments for a small fee, & send the recently employed 'Care Division' around checking on the new, happy tenants once a week to see if thier back on thier feet yet.

End result, More jobs in the American (Making Obama Happy, Along With Countless Polish & Some Possible Irish Immigrants) and Irish economy.

Money is saved, Cowen gets sacked, water gets turned back on, Wages get raised now that Ireland is out of the Recession.

OK OP, getting rid of the Poles, that means what, 50,000 or so leave? There are alot of people from Hungary, Czech Republic and other countries like that, who you would probably call Polish. ProTip: They aren't!

It doesnt help that there is a big mad flipping Documentary Series on PBS that goes into great detail the Origin of National Parks, and why they are owned by the Federal Government and why they are not allowed to be Developed for Private Enterprise. See: History, Niagra Falls, Tourism.

There are 43,000 Poles on the dole here. Add to that the amount on rent allowance, jobseekers allowance, etc and we are talking billions.

According to the some economists, they sent home 1.5 billion euro in 2007-2008. They are of little or no benefit to the Irish economy.

You see my point.... I dont think so. When one goes to Oz, one has to work to live there. When one arrives in Ireland, one can work for a year or two(if even) and then live off the Irish state.

The Republic of Irelands population is estimated to be 4.5 million as of 2009. If you include Northern Ireland its estimated to be 6.2 million altogether.

Also, i dont get the the last part of your post about "emmigratin'".

As Irish Society (on which behalf you seem to be appointed to speak) voted for EU including all it's pro's and con's, then you have to either respect the will of the Irish Society or leave and maybe set your own state somwewhere in a middle of desert and keep it yours, only YOURS, YOUR OWN!!!

Untrue, if you have permanent residency you qualify for the dole after 2 years. Its the same here I believe.

The problem is not with the polish, it's with the women working. If the women all gave up their jobs and looked after the cooking and cleaning then there would be plenty of jobs for both Irish and Polish males.

I think this would also then increase community spirit as there would eb people in the communities during the day and this could have possible knock on effects for reducing crime.

So its all the womens fault!

That's the governments fault, Irish people are at it too. The fact is it makes more sense for allot of people to be on benefits.
After you take into account the cost of working (food, transport) your left with about as much as you'd have on the dole, if your lucky.
Maybe you're one of those weird people that like breaking your back for other people, you may want to go to work.
Most people want to get something out of working though and if they can get the same money sitting at home as working they'd be fools to waste their week working.

Why?

Because Ireland doesn't have any special agreements with the US or Australia.

We can kick out Americans and Australians from Ireland too, as they are not in the EU.

The rules of the EU mean the Polish are fully entitled to be in Ireland. Only Germany and Austria have had any limitations on this, and that is starting to change.
