Can't imagine how you would do a healthy version of these. I'd go for the dips and eat them with celery or something instead.

I once made some by buying tortillas, light spray of fry-lite or similar light oil and a dusting of herbs and chilli powder, cutting them into triangles with a sharp knife and baking in a moderately hot oven (about gas 5-6) for a few minutes till crispy.

They were ok....... - well I ate them.....

Had those while in the US, fairly sensational tasting. Not super healthy, but substantially better than the average tortilla chip.

I never really found the attraction of tortillas, they are junk food but don't really taste like junk to me! I would prefer real crisps. Just like cream crackers are as bad as many normal biscuits but since they are bland some people presume they are OK.

I do like dips though, many spicy tomato based ones are low in calories, I used to break up sesame ryvitas and use them place of tortillas.

I really recommend organic blue corn chips where you can get them - they're very delicious and not too bad in terms of nutrition. The calories are fairly high but if you have a small portion with a big whack of salsa it's not too bad. They're available in some organic dried foods shops.

I make tortillas from wholegrain pitta bread cut into triangles, and bake with a little olive oil, sea salt & black pepper.

You can add parmesan or garlic oil too. I make dip sauce from extra light mayo & tomato puree. Tastes exactly like the pizza bread dip form my local pizzeria! :D

this is a slimming world recipe but if you get lasagne sheets boil them in water until theyre just starting to go soft then remove them and cut them into triangles season with whatever seasoning you want and bang them in the over with some fry light spray on them and wait until the go crispy!!
