    Hi All

So im trying to loose the dreaded muffin top- ive sorted my diet out (no choccie, fast food, GI bread and no fizzy drinks) but now im left with a toning issue

Just wondering if anyone could help me with the next steps- have never been to a gym so was thinking that curves or a gym class might be the next step??!!?- lthe tummy area is the main area i want sorting out

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

post your full daily diet and also how long you have been following said diet. combine cardiovascular and weights exercises, try to do 30 minutes six days a week.

If transform is reading this, did you post something on your blog about muffin tops? or was it a radio piece? I remember muffin tops being mentioned .. :D

    Hi Corkcomp

    Thanks for the quick reply

K so typical diet working day would be as follows:

Brekkie- porridge with semi skinned milk, orange

Lunch- either soup and 1 slice of brown bread or brown bread sambo with ham, cheese, onion (usual toastie)

Dinner- wholemeal spelt pasta with Chicken/mince, homemade pasta sauce , stir fry, beans on toast, steak - normal dinner stuff- if im having rice or pasta its always wholemeal and dont really have spuds (not a fan)

Ive been off the junk now since Jan 1 but the odd bottle of Corana is my downfall

By Cardio do you mean aerobics class?? (im a complete dud when it comes to fitness- have always been pretty slim but need toning now:) )

Curves is only OK it's alot of money for what it is and you'll get bored of it quickly I wouldn't sign up for more than a couple of months. HOwever if you do nothing now it might get you into a bit of a routine. Speaking as someone who has drastically reduced their muffin top in the last 6 months you need to cut out more carbs than that have scrambled eggs for breakfast chicken/tuna salad for lunch and then maybe pork chops and veg for dinner. Literally no bread or pasta ever.

its only been a month so do give it time! yeah, cardio like walking, running, spinning, intervals, anything that makes you break a sweat is good. the diet is not bad overall, but you should watch portion sizes of whole grain carbs at dinner time.. try to have more vegetables. porridge is fine. a little bread is ok for lunch, but have lots of salad and fish / chicken.

do a google for body weight exercises too, like push ups, pull ups, squats etc..
