I really like that blue on the first car

The trueno is actually a standard colour, I thought it would have been resprayed that colour. One of the nicest truenos in the country imo

    Very nice silvias!

Phil you're pretty handy with that camera as ive always said. Must get a few newer snaps of the 180 soon!

EDIT: also this trueno is without doubt the nicest one in the country. the attention to detail in the car is sick!

That Trueno is gorgeous looking, wish my own Levin was that colour! Those P1 BuddyClub wheels that are on it?

Have you any pics of the engine bay in ted's trueno to put up phil?

For those who havent seen it, it is immaculate with an airbrushed rocker cover, airbrushed strut bar and gauges. Yes, gauges in the engine bay :) fully functional too

    Cheers Ronan :D

I don't think I have any of the engine bay, but I'll take a look when I'm at home later on. You can just about make out the airbrushing and gauges in the 1st pic if you squint!

I think I seen that Trueno a while ago, but it's actually gorgeous in real life too. It was a sunny day and the blue just stood out.

No engine bay pics Ronan :( There was a big crowd around it when the bonnet was up, didn't want to be getting in the way with the tripod.

Love the look of the interior, but why 2 RSM's?? One for the driver and one for the passenger?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,580 ✭✭✭Testament1

Ha just noticed he has the same Padre Pio sticker on the windscreen that my Levin does. Wonder if it was a factory option from Toyota? :p

The first pics of the trueno on post 21?

I used a Nikon D40 with the kit 15-55mm f3-5.6 lens for those shots.

    Exif data
    Camera Nikon D40
    Exposure 10
    Aperture f/7.1
    Focal Length 18 mm
    ISO Speed 200
    Exposure Bias 0 EV

    Camera Nikon D40
    Exposure 5
    Aperture f/7.1
    Focal Length 18 mm
    ISO Speed 200
    Exposure Bias 0 EV

Similar settings used for the next shot. The only photoshopping done was adjusting exposure slightly when converting from RAW and a slight boost in clarity and saturation.

The in car shot was taken by wedging the camera in the passenger side headrest of the front seat. The driver drove at approx 20-30mph while I sat in the back seat to take the pics.

The out of car rig shots were taken by jamming two tripod legs between the front window and door frame while the third leg was rested on the drivers door. The camera was then set up on the tripod. The car was pushed slowly (about 2mph) by us. Hope that helps :)

PS the exif data should be in the flickr pics if you follow the links ;)
