Gym help needed

    Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I need a bit of help getting started on a gym program, I have never really used weights or anything before but I am now looking to bulk up a bit and I have read so many different (often conflicting) programs on the net that I thought I'd come and ask some people with experience.

I am 5'8 and quite thin (with the obligitory beer belly!), I am reasonably fit, I run 3/4 times a week (from 5-8 km depending on the day) and play football when I have the time.

I am vegetarian (with a little tuna from time to time!) but my diet could be better so any help on that one would be appreciated too! ;)

My goals are really to lose the gut, bulk up upper body, gain overall strength and generally become a bit fitter.

I am a member of a gym so I can access threadmills, rowing machines, bikes, weights etc etc and I am not afraid of a bit of hard work!

If anyone has any advice please don't hesitate to reply or drop me a PM.

    Cheers,
    B

Youll get an absolute wealth of info if you have a peek at the previous posts people put up, just use the search function and best of luck with it all.

Theres certainly no shortage of info here and on the net.
