    Milsim Basic Scenario Principals
    1) The overal theme for the event can be anything...
polar bears in the Arctic... Rescuing Garry Glitter from Vietnam... anything. The more inventive sometimes is the more playable and more engaging for players... Serious serious sometimes gets boring, but still has its place for the more dedicated amungst us.

2)What style of game do you want to use?

-Retrive rocket parts and assemble to fire missile and win the event, Both team A and B must aquire parts from site or other teams launch site.

-rescue hostages from X, and exfiltrate to Y. Teams rotate.

-Team A must plant a bomb in site X, while B must find site X, be that patrols, sweeps, whatever, and Disarm once located.

-Team A must locate terrorist training camp somewhere within the site. Team B, must defend thier training camp, can set up fakes, and ambush and distract A.

-Team A are peacekeepers, Team B, are terrorists. Team C are armed local populace.
Team B wish to remove C from power, A must look after B, while searching for C and eliminate C.

-Team A are Peacekeepers, Team B are drugs cartel, Team B must gather ingredients to make drugs, maufacture, and export product to docks for transport while defending thier factories and shipments. Team A must distrupt and stop capturing key personel.

-Team A are Peacekeepers, Team B are local militia. Team A must remove B from town/ area and establish and defend local construction projects for hospital, power station, School, etc. B, to remain in power, must stop this happening. Each sucessfully completed project (defended for 30 minutes to 1 hour, team B loose a respawn location.

This is a sample of scenario Bases... these can have any forces the site wish. Any country, any terrorist or enemy force. Funny names are quite helpful and interesting and keep people keen.

    Medic rules options:
First time a player is hit, They may call for a medic. Second time hit, they respawn. (general rule of thumb but may be modified.)

    Options:

Anyone can medic a downed player: - using players own bandage (White strip of cloth)

Specific Medics: - Limited number of bandages

Players may drag: - Players may drag an 'injured' player to cover where they or a medic can treat them safely.

    Sub Objectives:

    Key personel:
Key members of one force or the other that must be captured, assasinated, Photographed, etc. Photograph of volunteer handed out to Commander of oposing force as the objective is given (more on that later)

    Respawn removals

When one team complete an objective, the enemy loose a respawn location (multiple respawns = something worth fighting for)

    Follow on Objectives:

A great sneaky trick for site organisers to keep people going, is for example, When a teams objective is to extract, if they do not make it in a set time, the extraction moves to a new site, same rule applies. You can do this for fun too if they are having too easy a time, or, out of sadistic pleasure at the look of dejection on thier faces when they realise they have to keep going... belive me, thats fun.

    Objective revelation:

Objectives can be given all at once through the day, and completed in the commanders order of choice. OR, the organiser can hand out objectives as others are completed... or random side objectives located.... example:

Team USA have secured the hostages from the Umpalumpa Liberation front. One of the hostages overheard the sadistic orange terrorists discussing a chemical bomb they had planted in the old well... Defuse it before the local town is infected...

Well this is just a short guide to organising or making uo your own milsim scenarios... Trust me, funny works, and serious works, so be inventive. The styles of objectives and revelation of them can be very inventive and creative, so play around. I think its far better to know how to make your own than blindly run an objective someone wrote for you and not fully understand it. This way... hopefully I've given you some insight into the twisted mind of the milsim organiser. :)

i remember a game at g-tac last year when this happened
was absolutly brilliant (although also very tireing:pac:) , big surprise when you think you've gotten the hostages to the extraction only to find out its moved
