What's the difference between yogurt which says probiotic on package...

    Natural live yoghurt is just as good as the fancy stuff from what I've read.

    But it has to say 'live' on the label.

    every single yogurt has probiotics in them

    Just buy natural yogurt from the likes of glenisk and add your own seeds/nuts/berries to it.

    But it has to say 'live' on the label.

    Ya isn't the pasteurization process hot enough to kill the bacteria naturally present from the fermentation though? The ones specificially advertised as probiotic often tend to have higher concentrations of the lactobacilli and acidophollis because the manufacturers add in extra on top of what would be naturally present from the fermentation process. Check the labels as far as I know Rachels organic has the highest levels.

    Don't worry too much, its unlikely the yogurts have much of a probiotic effect at all.

    True the effects of pre and probiotics aren't necessarily a given but other studies have found numbers to increase following supplementation as far as I know. I'm sure as long as you're not taking antibiotics regularly you'll be fine without worrying about it.
