Hi guys, I don't know if this has already been done but a lot of people I know have started using flax seeds in their foods. I was wondering why? Do they aid weightloss, cholesterol, etc? Sorry again if this has already been done! :o

Flaxseeds are a good source of soluble fibre and plant based omega 3's which if you're young you can readily convert to the more useful form of omega 3 normally found in fish oil.

I've been discovering the wonders of soluble fibre lately. It's converted into butyric acid in the gut which is highly protective against colon cancer.

The fibre would probably fill you up too, so beneficial for weight loss in that respect.

They can also be used to replace flour in a lot of recipes.
