    Hi

Im using ubuntu 9.10 and im finding apparmor really difficult to configure. I cant find anywhere on the net what specifically the default profiles do exactly-i mean what can/cant be accessed ie the home folder, operating system files etc.

If only there was gui for this-its really annoying having to do everything on the terminal

If its like SELinux, I find the best way to configure it is to disable it completely. Its a pain in the ass, causes me more grief than it has ever prevented.

Yes apparmor is similar to selinux although apparmor is supposed to be easier to configure apparently.

The whole point of apparmor is to sandbox internet facing applications-but man i really hate the terminal at this stage. Ugh. I can only hope that there will be new profiles written for ubuntu 10.04.
