Am not sure has anyone asked this on thread before so i apologize if its been repeated. Just saw an advert for Boxercise classes in the local gym and was wondering had anyone done these classes here. Are they any good and what do they consist of?

Basically aerobics classes except you punch instead of doing aerobic-like stuff. I have a few mates who instruct it and they say people enjoy it. But then they would wouldn't they?

you get out what you put in, if you want it to be hard work it certainly can be...

classes can be a mix of boxing moves (8 main movements) usually one-on-one with a partner (one with gloves the other with pads), can also incorporate some elements circuit training, aerobics, mat work

here's a video of a master class (skip to 30s in)

    enjoy :)

You could also just join an actual boxing club; some people get put off by a percieved macho culture in these clubs but I always found this was rarely the case. Mostly people are very welcoming and tolerant of all skill levels, there are also a lot of women in boxing clubs these days. especially the ones in the universities.
