Is it too soon to do a test?

I wanted to go anon for this one, a few of my friends are on the boards. We've been ttc for about 6 months, I think last month we did everything correct, did everything at the right time. I was due my period on Thursday. Normally I get them on the exact day they are due and I still havent had them. Should I do a test today…
